Just a question about booking a fall package. On mousesavers it's listed as fall dates are 8-25-thru 10-2 with code zwqk, does this mean that if your vac. starts on 10-2 you are eligable for the discount or does it mean it only goes until 10-2. I thought someone here might know so it could save me from calling and asking. Our vac. starts on 10-2 and it seems we are just missing the ap rate and value season by 1-2 days.

You can usually get the discounted rate for your entire stay at a Disney resort if you check in while the rate is in effect. The code you posted is a WDTC code though. They may have a different policy on this than CRO.

Thanks GoldenOldie for the reply. I'm going to call later on to see what kind of rate they'll be offering. This code is for a pkg so it's probaly still cheaper to do room only and buy our passes separate. We are splitting our stay between POR and OKW.

... do you get the additional 20% discount on the Fall Getaway Package? Just wondering, because that would be a great deal!! Has anyone booked this yet??
Thanks for the information,
Sarah

The Fall Getaway rates are available on arrival dates of 8/25 - 10/2. This is a package that includes ultimate park hopper passes. It is an upgrade offer. You book a moderate resort and pay for a value resort, book a deluxe resort and pay the price of a moderate. It is cheaper than the Fall Fantasy package. An example is 5 nights at POFQ for 2 adults, one child and one junior is a total of $1560.28.

This package may be cheaper than the Fall Fantasy, but isn't it only available at selected WDW resorts? I have reservations at the YC starting 8/25 with the Fall Fantasy package for $195 a night, including taxs (the room cost is about $179 a night). Is YC part of the Fall Getaway package? If so, would it be a better deal?

The only resorts that are advertised for the Fall Getaway are CBR, POR, POFQ, WL woods view, Animal Kingdom Lodge standard view and Fort Wilderness Cabins. But I have also been able to book Coronado Springs Resort and WL standard view with this offer.

... are you a Disney Club member? Do you know if you can get an additional percentage off on this package with the DC card?? Let me know when you get a chance.
Thanks,
Sarah

Sarah, Disney Club members do not get any additional discounts on the Fall Getaway offer. They do get an additional $50 off of the Fall Fantasy Package though.

I'm new to the board, so I'm not sure if this is already well known info or if these are even good deals but....
I shopped around a bit for deals after Aug 25 when the rates go down. The cheapest I found for two adults was $1202 for 6 nights at a moderate (CSR) plus the park hopper. The only stipulation is that you can only choose a standard room w/ 2 double beds. This was through the Fall Upgrade Offer through www.aavacations.com US Air offerred the upgrade, but upon checkout, their prices were still higher. With the $158 rt airfare from Philly, I thought this was a great deal. The same exact package (plus a character breakfast) was going for $500 more on the Disney vacation page.
I'm hoping I made a good choice.

The quote I got for Fall Getaway (AKL, standard, 3 nights, 8/25-28, 2 adult tickets) was actually $11 more than the same package with Fall Fantasy - I booked Fall Fantasy so I'd be sure and have a room and then called back with the new DC code ZWFO and got a $50 discount, plus it switched the cancellation policy from 45 days out to 5 days out - so I would say always check both.

That's interesting. Fall Fantasy was $50 more when I checked for Coronado Springs.
Making the reservations was the easy part. The hard part? Waiting 3 months to go!
