La Qunita or Best Western near Universal - which is better?

OK, DH and I are looking to go to Universal for a couple of days before heading over to WDW and I am looking for someplace relatively inexpensive to stay near Universal that has a free shuttle to the park (might use a cab to get home at night if we miss the last shuttle or decide to stay at City Walk). Anyone have opinions on wither the La Quinta or the Best Western near Universal? Both are about the same price per night.

If you think they both suck, got any other suggestions for something around$80 or so per night that includes free shuttle to the park?

I'm going to bump this since I am looking into both hotels for a weekend away from the onsite hotels at WDW in January.

Just a follow-up: I got a deal on the Doubletree at Universal. Three nights at $75 per night. I couldn't pass that deal up.
