Ok so I FINALLY got into Pinecone Research thanks to someone on here who shared an invite with us. (Thank you!!!) I did my first survery and earned a whopping $3:yay: . They then sent me a note basically asking if the manufacturer wanted to send me a product to try, would I promise to keep it a secret, blah blah blah...next thing I know I have a box in the mail with the product in question! Can't say what it is, though, cuz I promised to keep it hush hush...:rotfl: My question is, will they send stuff often? And if so, do I have to send it back after I try it out? This particular product can't be retured after tried, but if they do send something that gets more than once use, will they be expecting me to send it back or do I keep to keep the stuff for free? If so, this is going to be fun!
Also, I see I've earned this $$$ but how do I transfer it to my Paypal account? I entered my paypal address in my account page but now what? Does it go automatically?

Hey there, you have received the same product I received. Just keep the name secret, and all is good.

I probably got the same product as you.
I've been on Pinecone for a little over a year and this is the 4th product I've received. One of the products they did ask me to return and sent me a box with postage prepaid on it.
One of the products they sent me was not a new product and something I had seen in stores before.

I got asked that recently too, but nothing for me.
But then again, some things have gone missing that should have been delivered to our apartment complex office when we aren't here. Hmmm. May be calling tomorrow just to ask.

Be very, very careful! Pinecone will kick you out immediately if they think you are disclosing any info! But on the lighter side... congratulations on getting in!:goodvibes
Product samples sometimes come very frequently and then again sometimes not at all! At times I have hasd several different trials going at once. Same thing goes as to returning the product - they'll let you know.
But you do know that you will also receive $ for testing the product, and then again for completeing the follow-up survey also?:)

When you signed up for pinecone, did you initially tell them you wanted to receive checks? I did. And when I wanted to switch over to paypal, I had to contact pinecone and let them know. Within a few days, they had e-mailed me that I was setup to receive payment through paypal. Once that is setup, it should automatically transfer to paypal. You shouldn't have to do anything on your end except the initial setup.
I have been with Pinecone for over a year and have tested 6 or more products. I have never had to send a product back only the product packaging. One time it was a juice drink bottle. And I even got compensated to do that. So, not only did I get $5(the good old days when we got $5 per survey) for the initial survey, I got another $5 for the product testing and follow up survey. Then another $5 just for sending the product package back. And they even sent me the postage and box to send it in. So I got $15 for that one product. I had a product I just tested recently that I have to send the packaging back. I'm just waiting on them to send me the postage and box and I'll get another $3 for a grand total of $9. Not bad.

I've been with Pinecone longer than that (I was a $5 person for years). In the beginning, I'd get a product test every month. I haven't had one in almost 3 years:guilty: .
If you signed up and requested Paypal payments, your money automatically gors into your Paypal account and you get an email that confirms that it's been deposited.
Good luck & enjoy!!:thumbsup2

To get the money out of your paypal account you just transfer it into your bank account that you linked to Paypal.
I have been a $5 member for a while and then they sent me a think saying it was changing to $3 so I quit. $3 is not worth my time.

I was wondering the same thing. I did secret shopping, but now that I have one DS and another on the way, it's hard to get out of the house during set times to do the shops without them. I would love to get involved with something I can do at home.

I've been with them for over a year and have tested 4 products so far.
The paypal thing... you send Pincone an email giving them your paypal email address and in a few days they will send you a confirmation that your payments will now be sent there. It was very easy. The directions are on the main page once you sign in on the pincone page.

Did you try to go back at a later time? I've had surveys stall, so I close out, then sign back in later in the day and it will give some sort of message like "You've already started this survey, click here to continue."
For those asking about where to sign up. You have to either come across a random link or sometimes you can invite people. Sometimes you will see something posted around the DIS, like "Pincone link is here....!"
After you sign up then you wait for them to accept you, then for the surveys to start.

I've been a Pinecone member for quite some time. I've been sent three products to test. One was technically complicated, but well worth my time as it paid $50. They used to pay $5 per survey and I got a check in the mail. I do NOT like the paypal payout they have now. I have a paypal account, but it's not linked to my checking account, only a cc, so I can't get the actual cash.

You can cash out your Paypal balance with a check, but I think they charge $1.50 for the check. You could also get a Paypal debit card which would allow you to access your balance.

Can't you just get a check for each survey from Pinecone instead of using Paypal? I get checks, so I don't think you "have" to use paypal. Or is this something from the $5 to $3 switch thing? I get $3 checks...

Hmmm, I was never offered a check vs paypal option after they lowered the price from $5 to $3. I will send them an email today as I would much prefer a check in the mail.n THANK YOU so much for posting a reply.

If you login to http://www.pineconeresearch.com and click "Update my personal profile".
On there is a section that shows $3 check, or where to enter Paypal info.
Now, I'm not sure if you'd have the reverse, where you could select the checks since your paypal email is probably written in that space.
Worth a shot!

I wish I could help you. It really seems to be all about your demographics. For some reason, they really like that I am a 40 yo married woman with no kids. :confused3 I get surveys on a regular basis and I just got 2 products to test today. The only trick I know is to keep trying. Unfortunately, I have never even seen a referral program. Sorry. Maybe you could have someone else in your household sign up. That's the only thing I can think of. Good luck!
