Good morning everyone!!
I've just come back from Asda. Went to return a top which I bought for Louise (a red Minnie Mouse one which I was hoping she could wear when we go in Dec) - it was sooo snug and that was the next size up too! No point buying her the next size up from that as the sleeves will probably reach the floor lol. Why do make things sooo tight these days? And she's quite petite as well, so can't even blame it on her size. Anyway, rant over.

Oh is that the one in the village?
Well its pre-school Kyra will be attending, its St micheals by the train station. Its a catholic school and as Kyra has been baptised a Christian i'm not sure she will get a place even though the place is a 5 min walk away.

Kyra will get to go for free thankgod now she has turned 3. Just hope she gets a place.
I will be eagerly awaiting out letter next week. If she does i just need to find money to get her uniform seeing as I'm £500 short for the next 2 months thanks to her dad. I think she will have to give up ballet aswell as i don't know if i will be able to afford the January fee's for that. His money paid for all that kind of stuff.

Yes he is, he loves DLP, his favourite ride in the world is big thunder mountain. He was very disapointed with Magic Kingdom in Florida (as was I), as Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Space Mountain (although I do love this for 70's retro), and the general theming was not as nice as Paris.

It does looks so pretty, esp the castle :)
I was thinking something comfy and warm but nothing nice springs to mind haha, I have to admit to being a heels kinda girl, at 4ft 11.5 I dont really have much choice haha and I don't even have anything that resembles comfy :lmao: i managed fine in heels (well just about) in WDW but now im worried if its snows i'll be slipping over all day :rotfl2:

A Saw ride?!!!?!?!?!?! Bloody hell!!!! Seriously?? We've never seen the films... Robert was very stupid and read the plot on wiki of the second one and didn't sleep for about a month afterwards.... There was a little clip of Jigsaw (? I assume thats the killer dudes name?) in an ep of Yu Gi Oh abridged (Which is a comedy) and he nearly ran out of the room screaming!!!
There, I've just proved what wimps we are!! :lmao: My aunt loved the Saw films... My uncle, however, did not feel the same and wound up carrying their dog everywhere with him for protection afterwards!

Evening all,
Just reading back on a few things.
I wore my Uggs to DLRP in October and November and had no real problems, I just made sure I tucked my trousers into the boots and they were fine.
I too have been to Alton Towers for Halloween (not this year though as I was in DLRP but in previous years.) The really scary things for me was walking through the ruins in the dark and the actors jumping out on you!! I have walked through the ruins many times and know my way around quite well (I love my Alton Towers AP!!) but those actors are scary!!

I'm trying to pick a restaurant for my birthday.... I've narrowed it down to these options:
The Ridley Arms: http://www.sjf.co.uk/foodpubs/about.php?id=3
Tandoor Mahal: http://tandoor-mahal.co.uk/19_05_08TandorMahalMenu.pdf
Mulans: http://www.kevinliu.co.uk/mulan_menu.htm
Or the other option is to go to the Alnwick Garden for lunch at the Treehouse (http://www.alnwickgarden.com/assets/pdf/Treehouse%20Lunch.pdf) and have the day at the gardens......
What do you lovely people think?

Good afternoon! Have just been packing for my weekend away. Trying to squeeze everything into a small bag (with wheels) this time and bring a rucksack as extra. Last year, I brought a big bag (with no wheels) and it was a nightmare to carry it.
Sort of, I keep saying I have bought enough for them but keep seeing other things:rotfl2:
Same here!! I've just bought a couple more jigsaw puzzles for the kids. There's a new shop which has just opened here today called Clas Ohlson or something like that (first store outside Scandinavia apparently) - it's like a "homey" type shop (home stuff, electronics, kitchen stuff, etc etc). Walked in there today and saw they had Mickey Mouse Clubhouse puzzles and I bought two. Was also very tempted to buy a portable DVD player as first 250 customers who walked through the door can buy one for £20 instead of £70. I ummed and ahhed about it and put it back in the end. Don't really have the need for it as we can bring our laptop. Bet I'll regret it tomorrow.
Hope you're all having a good day so far.
Ohh and I've also received my temp share certificate today. Yay!

Yeah, good old Butlins for one of their 'themed' weekends (going away with 4 other mums). It's the "Skool Reunion" (we went last year as well - 80's Madness which was great) - Right Said Fred and Five Star will be there, along with other good tribute bands I hope. There was a Freddie Mercury one last year and it was the best of the lot!

Yep. It's where George & Books Etc used to be in the Whitgift Centre (I really do miss George though). It's a nice little shop to browse around I guess. Don't think I'll actually buy anything each time I go in. I read it in the Croydon Advertiser online today that it's known as the "men's creche" in Sweden as wives are happy to leave their hubbys to browse in there while they get on with their shopping lol.

Evening all, just been catching up.
Emma, I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out in hospital when I was about 25. They had been 'coming through' since I was about 18! I think the term they use is 'impacted' and they were painful. I was glad to get rid of them but I looked like I'd gone 10 rounds with Tyson after the operation. I had a face like a hamster.
Bob, I too am an 80's addict. I don't really understand music post '89.
I have only just discovered Primark.

I do like some modern music, and I worship Marc Bolan (Love my 70's too)... But the 80's is truly where its at! Gutted that we can't afford to go see the Human League, ABC and Heaven 17 this year on tour... Having said that, I've seen the Human League loads of times already....

How on earth do you make those Bob?
Jackie- Put milk, a handful of mini marshmallows (If they aren't mini chop them a little bit/ Also, bear in mind I have huge hands so the amount of marshmallows will more than likely have to be adjusted....!) and and ice cube in a blender and mix together..... Pour into a glass then sprinkle with a little bit of chopped white chocolate on the top.... Serves one..... They are very very yummy!

I'm off to Germany this morning (just sorting the last couple of bit now), so I'll see you all on Sunday.
With any luck, there should be at least one new instalment of my DL trip report upon my return as I've quite a lot of time to kill at the airports waiting for transport connections, so I'm planning on using my time productively :rotfl:

Just looked at rough prices for WDW and it's going to cost us £5,000 for the 4 of us for two weeks including park tickets but that doesn't include any food!! Using the cost of my December trip to DLRP I could have 15 3 might trips to DLRP for that much :scared1:

Morning! I priced up WDW too and couldn't get it much cheaper than that either. I am so frustrated as I really want to go but that is the price of a car or something similar and I don't think we could find that sort of money.:scared1: We are tied to school holidays, so I know that bumps up the price, but how do other people afford it? Beats me.:confused3

We're off to Barnsley this weekend.... Main purpose of this visit is so I can meet Roberts Aunt Phil and Uncle John who live in Austrailia, and to go to the Xmas market. Robert's parents are away on holiday until Saturday night, so we were really looking forward to a bit of time to ourselves (Living with my Mum we never have any time to ourselves ever and our room is only as big as a shoebox....!) but then Robert's brother announced he might come up when we're there... :headache: I know it's super mean and I feel like a total cow, but we're really hoping he doesn't come because we never have any time alone ever.... He posted on Roberts fb asking when he was going home and he deliberately hasn't replied. I know its really mean but we will see him at Xmas and it hasn't been that long since we saw him last and we were so looking forward to a bit of time alone.... :sad2: I'm still betting we'll get there and he'll be there though.... I just wish it might have occured to him that we never get our own space, but sadly he just doesn't think like that.....
Rant over!! Apologies...

Emma so sorry about your tooth. My wisdom teeth came through a few years ago but I still remember the pain. Poor babies, what they have to go through:sad2:
Had the scariest day yesterday... Anya slept badly on weds night but I thought it was her cold/runny nose. She had a cough so I booked to see my GP just in case... And boy, I've never been happier I went to the docs. By 11am her tummy was bouncing up and down, she couldn't say a word and was struggling to breathe. Ended up with antibiotics for chest infection and an inhailer to help her breathe. Poor baby her lips and finger nails were blue. I was in agony, spent all day crying and cuddling her:sad1: She's better today, the inhaler helped a lot.
Why do children get ill so quickly???
