Well today was time to head home :( So we packed and were out of the room at about 11am. There was nothing left to do now other than drive to Orlando.

When packing I noticed one of the pairs of new socks I had got in Timberland at the PO had a hole, so we stopped off at the PO’s before going to the airport. Once at the airport we dropped off the car and then went and sat in the terminal as it would be another hour or so before DBIL and DSIL were due to arrive. Once they did arrive we went to the PE line and wow the economy line was huge! I had done online check in the day before so all that was needed was bag drop and the way the line was set up was confusing and a one point no one could move! The new area for VA did not seem much if any better than being on the other side of the building. Once we had got our boarding cards it was time to take the luggage to the screening, but as it was only roped off with a tape barrier we stayed until the cases had gone into the secure area as there was nothing to stop someone leaning under the barrier and moving/taking an item!! Any once the luggage had gone Nathan and I got lunch at McDonalds and then after looking in the shops the four of us met up to go through to the departure lounge just before 6pm. Then I saw that our plane was ready and waiting for us :)

Boarding started just about 6.45pm and we were off virtually on time with an estimated arrival time back I the UK at about 8.30am. It was then time to enjoy dinner, I tried a bit of the pasta and then watched the sunset.

Followed by a storm just off the coast.

This did cause the route to have a little ‘kink’ in it!

It was quite good watching the lightning out of the window.

Soon it was lights off until we were about an hour away from the UK.

We landed at 8.30am and were quickly off the plane and through the IRIS scan :thumbsup2 But the luggage took forever :headache: Once we had all the luggage we were out through customs and were then saying our goodbyes to DBIL and DSIL before heading home ourselves.

Once again, gotta love that IRIS scan but let's keep it between you and me. ;) It seems to just transfer the wait to somewhere else though doesn't it. :confused3

Thanks for another great set of reports.
