Problems solved! Don't bother leaving your house on Thanksgiving -- order from Creativexpress.com they will price match. Here is the info from an email I received
Black Friday Price Match: Although our store is open, CX offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving. Never fear. . . Cyber Monday starts December 1 and we start pricing matching your Thanksgiving weekend ads from Monday thru Friday, December 5.
Here’s what you need to do: fax or email your ad to 1-801-794-9011 or connie@creativexpress.com anytime between midnight Thursday, November 27 and 4pm Friday, December 5. Include your name and phone number. As long as your fax or email arrives before the deadline, your price match will be honored. Don’t hesitate to follow up with a phone call to 800-563-8679. I love the Mickey Font. I like the chunky letters. I would suggest looking over the fonts to see what is your style. Paper Doll Dress Up is great for all of the extra cuts -- I rarely use it for an acutal doll. For swapping, I use the disney carts often. I also use tags bags boxes etc quite often. The Pooh font cart is a good one too.

I love my Jukebox. But I am one that changes the cartridge every two seconds it seems. Especially with swaps, I think I have used 3 or 4 different ones for the 4x4 swap. It is so nice to not have to swap everything. And since you haven't turned it off to change cartridges, if you need to use the same paper again you can load last even with the new cartridge. :thumbsup2

so i've been totally waiting for this sale on turkey day and even planned it all out. dh and i were going to meet my mother there after we leave his mothers and she was going to take ds home and dh and i would go in and get what i wanted. so mom is at michaels yesterday and told the lady how excited her dd was to shop on thurs. night for the carts that are on sale and she said they are NOT open thurs. night. only certain stores are, and she thinks the ones in rhode island are. but that one is so much closer to me. so today i'm going to check on the one in r.i. to see if in fact it is open.
so make sure if you are going to go and shop that your store is open.

I've never ordered from them before. So, do I just email that I want to price match from Michaels, and then they contact me later about ordering? I can't get to Michaels, unfortunately (not that it would matter, based on my experience trying to get a cart during their last sale!)

I magnified it as best as I could and it looks like it says ? ? shown (assuming it says something about not all items shown) and while supplies last. Nothing about limits that I can see. I intend on buying the paper tomorrow, the news said there would be 50 sales fliers in it, hopefully M's is in there.

Just got back from Michaels. The store near my MIL was pretty empty. I got my jukebox and JOTS. I was stoked - JOTS rang up $29.99 - 20% OFF! They didn't have the other carts I was looking for (Storybook & Graphically Speaking for myself & Doodletype for a friend) so I have a feeling I'll still be purchasing those through CreativeXpress. They had Cars and all of the other Disney Cartridges though. I was kind of bummed that they didn't have more carts - the Mike's near my house has had Storybook and GS but they weren't going to be open for the sale. :-) Hope everyone had a great turkeyday.

I too was at a Michael's in Cincinnati at 6 and purchased a cart and it rang up 20 percent off.... I did get a couple of other items. Most in there were looking at the cricut stuff. I was impressed with the selection, it was not very organized in terms of finding the one you wanted..I did get the Stretch your Imagination.

So, bless him, he braved it and got Cars for me!!! He even went through the bins and looked at the backs of the other carts to see if he thought I would use them! ;) So now, I have a new tree (pre-lit, whoo-hoo!!!) and the Cars cartridge!!!

I was looking for GS and they didn't have it...
None of the solution carts were on sale..
They had all the carts on the 3 sides of a square kiosk in the middle of the aisle next to the fire extinguisher... Very disappointing layout...
But DH got my Christmas gifts so that is good!!!

Back from my M's. I got there about 5:45 and there were about 40 people in front of me. About 5 minutes later there were about another 40 people behind me! Store opened, and everyone made a mad dash to the aisle where you normally get the empty boxes...every time they had a sale like this, they had most of the cartridges on rack in the middle of the aisle. I spied the rack, all the way in the back of the store, by the framing department. I speed walked backed there and only about 6 other ladies made it back there. I got Calligraphy, Cars and one of the handful of Tink cartridges. Thought about getting Mini Monograms, but I decided to get 2 of the storage cubes instead. I got my 3 carts and started walking back to get a cart for my other shopping. By then the 100 other ladies realized the carts were hanging back in the back. Later, while I was doing my other shopping, ladies were huddled in every corner sorting through their stacks of boxes. Check out lines were starting to get long, but I was home by 6:30. Now DH is wondering how I spent $170 so quickly...

My DH and DS went to M's this evening to buy me some cartridges for Christmas. I gave them a list of what I already have and figured they'd buy 1 or 2 while there. Well, they came home with SIX new cartridges for me and they let me have them now!!!!!!! They said that it was so crowded in there and women were getting shopping carts full of cartridges! Wow! They got Sports Mania, Speaking of Autumn, Joys of the Season, Tinkerbell, Opposites Attract, and Stretch Your Imagination. They did so good!!!!

I got JOTS, Cars, and Calligraphy. I had Tink but decided to put it back. I picked up Sports Mania for Nan.
Lisa got 2 or 3 carts and Mom got Tink, Paper dolls, and locker talk.
ETA it wasn't bad, there were maybe 30 people there if that. But there was one kind of rude lady that bought a ton. I figure she's an Ebayer because she wasn't even really looking a the carts, just buying.
We also ran into an old DISer, AJKsmom and her sister so we chatted for a bit.
Our display was right up front so we could see where the Disney carts were in comparison to the others.

I didn't go - I wasn't worried about new carts- I had gotten the Tink one on sale (not as good) a couple of weeks ago. I plan to go in the morning and pick up some things I need with the 25% of coupon. I might think about a cart if they have them. They normally don't seem to have the run on things here as much as other areas of the country and the price is good for the whole weekend.

:thumbsup2 I love when a dad shows a child how to shop for the mom!

My Michael's was pretty organized. I got there at 5:50, and was probably 40th in line. Right before they opened, the store manager came out and asked who was there for Cricut cartridges? Probably 90% of the hands went up. He said just come straight to checkout #2, we have them all there. (I guess the empties were still in their regular spot, but I didn't go look.) So the line essentially moved right to the checkout line. :rotfl2: From there they had 3 large racks with all the carts. Some of the women who were first in line were really picky, looking carefully, etc. UGH! One woman cut in front and bought a bunch (must have been an ebayer, since she didn't seem to care what she got as long as it was a lot!) After this, the manager wised up and said he'd call out a title, and then hand it out to those in line who wanted it. This worked pretty well, that way you had your carts by the time you got up to check out. I was worried that they would run out by the time I got there, but since I only wanted 2 carts I actually was "done" before others so I checked out pretty fast.
I did stick with my budget and got only what I came for... Mickey font and Mickey and Friends! I've been wanting them so badly. Yea me!!!
On a side not- we had barely finished eating when I left for Michael's. I did all the cooking, so I made a point of saying that I wanted the dishes done when I got home. Is that too much to ask??? Yeeessssss apparently it is... DH and DD managed to clear the table and put away the food, but wash dishes? Not so much. At least I was in a good mood when I was washing...:rotfl:

i got there at 5 prepared to stand in line outside and there was NO ONE there not even the employees - they came about 5:30. I stood near the door around 5:45 a few ladies got out of their cars and stood near me. One lady tried to push in front of me - but i was quicker on me feet and knew where they kept the carts. I grabed cars, sports mania, calligrapgy, and mini monograms. My dad called while i was waiting in the car and told him about the sale so he said he would buy a few for my birthday in a few weeks so get what i wanted and DH said the same. So i didnt feel bad getting 4
Not sure if i will keep the sports or the calligrahpy yet - but figured i should pick them up at that price. i wanted wild card or hello kitty but i know they are not out yet.
well happy cricuting every one -
i already cut out a guido with the funny wig at 11 1/2 - laminated him and put him on vinyal on the back of my van window - i LOVE him - PIT STOP!

Can someone explain to me how the Creativexpress price matching works?
I went to my Michael's at 6 this morning and they didn't have the carts I wanted and I hate to pass up that price!

Jessica, I went to the Mike's in Whitehall and I almost thought I'd run into you there! I got Pooh & Friends and Christmas Cheer. I wanted to get Graphically Speaking but they didn't have it. I almost got Cuttin' Up but as I was on my way to the checkout I realized that I didn't have enough cash on me - DUH I felt so stupid - could there be a worse time to forget about sales tax?!?! (I left my credit cards at home so I wouldn't get in trouble!). No biggie - I found it on EBay today & got it for $25 w/shipping!
DH & I got there about 5:45. There were only 7 people in front of us & about 4 cars in the lot. We got in line, and as we waited, it did get a lot more crowded. It was chilly, but not too bad since I was really bundled up. By the time we got in, there were probably about 30 cars in the lot and about 40-50 people behind us in line!
I've never bought cartridges at Mike's before so I didn't know where to go. I took off with the crowd & was following a gaggle of gals towards the back of the store when DH yells, "HUN!" Here there was a spinny rack right at the front door (what can I say - I was so excited for the deal that I left my brain at home!). Apparently the ladies I was following were there for something else! They had a bit to choose from - plus the empties in the regular aisle. There were only about 6 of us rooting thru the spinny rack. I picked out mine and was back home in no time. Glad you could still get the deal even though you're in NY.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone...and to the OP, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS SALE!!! I don't normally go to Mike's so I would've had NO idea!

I have read a lot of ladies wanted Graphically Speaking from the sale. I got sports mania at M's and like others no GS. So I took my ad to WM and picked up GS for the $29.99 price. WM also has Storybook and the solutions carts.

I thought I heard WM wasn't doing the price match anymore? Or am I remembering wrong? Or could it maybe just be my local store?

I have been reading on the cricut boards that some have had problems while others had none. WM advertised on TV they would price match BF ads. I was lucky and had no problems. They just called a manger over, she really looked at the ad, saw that it stated 28 styles(GS was not pic on M's ad), and gave me the price.

I'll let you know after Xmas, unless DH lets me open it sooner. It has 6 fonts which I love but they are thin so it remains to be seen if they tear easily.

That's been my problem with Jasmine. It's just too think to use. I also had a HUGE problem with "Cinderella". I think I must have cut 20 for a swap to use as a title, and they all kept ripping. I finally ended up making on my puter, but it's very frustrating. The Provocraft peoples must know this is a problem :headache:

I got the price match at WalMart on GS and Storybook last night. It was a pain and I did have to talk to 2 managers and have the actual paper Michael's ad but in the end they matched the price. :dance3:
Now I need to try another Michaels for SportsMania. DH forget to get it Thursday night and the Michaels I went to yesterday didn't have any.

I was at Mike's today at 0830. BFF was working and found me at the Cricut end cap. I was so excited to find Tink, and she said the manager kept some back for today, they were in the office and he had just put them out. They had 3, and I got 1 of them...
THEN something amazing happened!! Paper Dolls, Pooh, and Mickey Font all jumped in my cart and wanted to come home with me too! Well, really, what could I do? :confused3 I didn't want to disappoint them, so I let them stay. But I told them that they had to be really quiet...
So, when DH comes home there is a nice bag with a note from Santa on it asking him to please help him out and put these under the tree for me for Christmas.

Well between the 3 DH got, the 2 my mom bought me, the one my mother in law found and the 2 I priced matched at WM...I ended up with 8 new carts! :faint:
The Michael's I was in today had a ton. It absolutely looked like they held some back from Thursday night and Friday.

:lmao::lmao:Hey, I have that motto year round!!!! :lmao::lmao:
Mom and I went on Thanksgiving evening around 6:15. There were lots of people there, but not so much it was unpleasant shopping. I got Sports Mania (which I didn't know existed), Calligraphy (which I also didn't know existed), and Tink. I got SIL Christmas Cheer, but only after not finding it anywhere on the floor (someone said a lady came in a cleared those out), I looked in the locked case and they had one. Thank goodness!
oh my 29.99 for carts??? what's a girl to do???
Buy several of course! :thumbsup2
I got Tink and Cars, um, er, DH got them for my Christmas present. I am even letting him wrap those. :rotfl2: The only problem we really had was somebody in line was poofing up a storm.:scared1: :lmao: No one would stand within five feet of her.:lmao:
