How to pay in arcade?

My kids have been saving their money for the arcade, but I know cash can't be used - I have read that there is an arcade card you can purchase - can you tell me where you get it, cost, how it works, etc.

You can purchase cards in increments of $10 in the arcade with your KTTW card. But I would put a limit on the kids cards because I have read horry stories of kids buying $100 worth of arcade at a time without mom and dad knowing.

We disabled the charging priviledges for our girls keys once we boarded. When they wanted an arcade card, I would just go with them to Quarter Masters and purchase one with my card. That way I kept tabs on their spending.

YUP! The 100 story happened to us. We let the kids go on ahead
of us to the arcade. When we got they they excitedly told us "LOOK, you just put your key to the room in that machine and you get all the arcade cards you want"!!!!!To our horror, we found 10, $10 acrcade cards! Luckly we took them down to GS at once and they took them off our bill. I'm sure if they had used them it would have been a different story.

Moral of the story, if you do not what your kids to charge to the room, go to GS after boarding and remove charging prevs.I THOUGHT I had done this already at check in at the Port.

Regarding these arcade cards, I understand that they cost $10. What does that buy you? What does a typical game cost?

there are a limited number of games. I think most of them were .50-1.00. It took my 2 kids about 20 min to go through the 35.00 in arcade cards that a pervious cruiser had sent us. (apx 1 dollar per min.per child)

I secured the $50 first time cruiser credit. My plan is to give it to my son to use in the arcade (even though I know that will last him about 5 seconds) Does anyone know if they will allow us to apply the credit toward arcade games?

Sure. Just charge the arcade cards to your stateroom account (via your KTTW card). Those charges will be offset by your $50 credit.
