Could use some some prayers

just got back, as you know, from a wonderful trip to wdw. i can't believe that i am really writing this, but 4 days ago my son was brutally attacked right outside our home. he did not know the two teens and they did not rob him. they hit him in the face with something hard, just as he was coming to turn into our walkway. his eye is still swollen shut and the bone around it is fractured, but the doctor's think he will be able to see(we are praying). his teeth are broken, as are his spirits. he required 15 stitches under his eye and 5 on his eyelid. this attack was completely unprovoked, he had just been dropped off by a friend across the street from our house and headed straight for our house. the police have not been able to find the teens responsible and i fear they never will now. how will we ever feel safe again? my dear son is still trying to get over, as we all are, the death of his father and now this. i won't be around these boards for a while i know, but it would help if you could all send a prayer our way.

Sorry to hear about your son and please tell him that we all send pixie dust his way and hope that the criminals that did this will be brought to justice.

Oh Kathe!:( I'm so sorry for your DS and for you too as you all have been through the hardest event in life.....loosing a loved one and now this!

I hope your DS recovers physically and I know mentally this will take some time but my motto in life is "whatever goes around......comes around...." and I'm sure they'll get their "rewards" Sometimes life doesn't seem fair.:(

What a horrible, horrible thing to happen!! What is WRONG with kids these days that they have to get their "kicks" out of violence??? Maybe someone will overhear these thugs bragging about what they did and turn them in.

I sincerely hope that all heals up with your son both physically and emotionally. We will all pray for him and your family.

KATHE, I feel extremely sad and concerned for you and your family. I just said a prayer and will continue to pray for you and your children during this most trying time. Everyone here sending you the best thoughts. Having met you at WDW two weeks ago makes you and this incident very personal. I can't help but feel rage and that's such an unproductive feeling. I am sad at the aggression our society has demostrated.

Can you please please please tell your ds that there truly are more wonderful people in the world that support him and wish him well than the two ugly vermin that attacked him. They will pay.

That is so sad, Kathe. It seems we had just comforted you on the loss of your husband, wished you well when you were leaving for your WDW, with your DH in your memories, and welcomed you home after your return, you telling us how good it was you all went, with he in your memories. And now this. What a bummer!! :(
