Marriotts in the San Diego Area

I am working on a trip for May - I need to cash in some Marriott points.

There are so many to chose from - the only thing we have planned in Sea World one day and Legoland one day.

We have three small kids so I need something to keep them happy. A good pool?

We will have one extra day to hang out so I need a hotel with things around it.

I looked at Marriott Cornado? A Residence Inn in Carslbad?

I am open to any Marriott property. Just want to pick a good one.

We're also investigating Mariotts for a "beach vacation" summer few days San Diego, Reward Points before hitting DL end of vacation...

Here's our choices..San Diego Marriott Marina, Coronado Island Marriott..
Thinking of Coronado Island Beach by the Del or La Jolla Beach..

Also, anyone know anything about Laguna Cliffs Resort and Spa, Marriott in Dana Point?
How is Capistrano Beach, Salt Creek Beach or Doheny State Park?

Mid summer..August...Red Tide? Is red tide more common San Diego Beaches or the beaches I named near Dana Point????????
