If we book a cash ressie for our first night, will we have to switch rooms the next day when our reservation on points?

If you book it through member services and it is the exact same room (dedicated vs lockoff), you should not have to move, the reservations should be linked.

There are some room categories that are not available on points. So if you get the BW view at BWV, you won't be able to get that for cash. You'll just get preferred (non-BW view) and have to move.
