Boardwalk Question-Can you get burgers at the pool bar?

We are currently on a wait list for a Boardwalk resale and are wondering about fast food options. I had read that there were no fast food counter service restaurants there but then I read that you can get burgers and fries at the Boardwalk pool bar. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

Burgers, hot dogs, nachos, and the like are sold at the pool bar. There is also a pizza place on the BW (you order through a window and eat outside). There also some fast food options , particularly in the afternoon and evening at booths on the BW.

good - they have changed when we were there you could only get hot dogs from the pool snack bar (plus drinks - offer to make me a drink at 11:00am- that is a little too early for me).

There's a hot dog cart (also serve curly fries, I think) on the Boardwalk and Spoodles has a walk-up pizza window. It's good to know about the burgers at the pool; I've never tried them.

Watch out for the goodies at the bakery and ice cream shoppe! They're dangerous! :D ;)

When we were at BWV last May the only food options were nachos and some sandwiches that had been pre made. When did they add burgers/fries at the pool?

You may walk into the ESPN bar and order a burger or nearly anything from their grill menu for take-out. It takes a bit of a wait since it's made fresh to order. I think they also add an automatic gratuity but it's still less expensive than room service. We've done this, when returning from Epcot or the pool. One parent headed for the room with the kids while the other picked up burgers & sides to bring back.

Note fries are not at the pool bar. Now I am wondering if I was correct about burgers. However, My recall is that we got those along with hot dogs. Nevertheless, this was not special stuff--basically packaged stuff like you stick in a microwave.

We were at the BWV in September of 2000, at that time only salads and premade sandwiches at the pool. We were able to get french fries, hot dogs, sausages and GREAT onion rings at the card on the boardwalk which at that time was near the boat dock. Otherwise, I was pretty disappointed in the fastfood at BWV. So stick w/ the cart, I repeat, the onion rings were great!!
