View Full Version : what went wrong with my dining plan?
I had a 5 day Magic Your Way ticket with DDP.
Our schedule was like this:
Monday - Biergarten (so much fun)
Tuesday - O'Hana (also so much fun)
Wednesday - Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic package) AWESOME SHOW
Thursday - Tusker House character breakfast
Friday - Crystal Palace lunch
When we went to use the card on Friday the waiter said we had no more credits left and we had to pay cash for the meal.
Did I do something wrong? Did I make a mistake or should I call Disney? Is Fantasmic worth 2 table service? I am so confused! Thanks.

How many nights did you stay? The DDP goes by how many nights you are staying in your resort. For example, if your package was for 5 nights, then you would have each had 5 table service credits (for the plus dining plan). The Fantasmic Dinner package is 1 table service credit each at Hollywood and Vine.

How many nights did you stay? The credits are alloted per night of your stay - not per days of your tickets. Four nights would be four credits per person

you recieve credits based on the number ofnights you stay at the hotel, not the number of park pass days you have. I assume you had a 5 day, 4 night package, which would give you 4ts credits

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the 3 PP's have it right. You probably were there for 4 nights, and 5 days. So only 4 credits.. :(

Did you save any of your receipts? At the bottom of each one it showed how many of each type of credit was remaining

Ditto. The OP thought the dining was tied to her number of days on her passes.
The reasoning of number of nights is due to check in not being until 3 - 4:00 pm+ and check out at 11:00 am.
okay, now I get it. we only stayed 4 nights, but had the park passes for 5 days.
One thing I should have done was read up more on the dining plan before I went. But it all worked out, even with paying the money at the lunch.
Thanks.

Live and learn. We've all had those experiences.
Sounds like you had some good meals and times though. :thumbsup2

Yes good until midnight but the number of credits you get are determined by the number of nights you stay. :)

First year on the DDP we thought the same thing, when there we realized it was per night but we knew when we got there the number of credits we got to start and as we used them up this was indicated on the receipts what we had remaining. Good thing is Crystal Palace was last and probably the least expensive.
