Hawaii building going down for rehab in furture?

Hello:

I have read a few threads that mention that the hawaii building will be going down for rehab in the future. Anybody know anything about this. We were just there and the bathrooms looked like they were pretty new.

I am just wondering what they are redoing. If it goes down for rehab, does that mean there will be no concierge rooms available, or do they use another longhouse?

Aloha Deb,

Hawaii was refurbished last summer while we were there. They did a few rooms at a time. They ripped out the wallpaper and painted. They also did repairs to what ever needed attention. This was all completed last October. There is no schedule for any more rehab at this time. Hawaii was not the only longhouse done. They were all done last year from May to October. Tuvalu was completely renovated and went from a smoking longhouse to smoking on the 3rd floor only.

That's what I thought, hubby and I thought the rooms were quite nicely done. I was trying to figure out what they would change in the rooms. I even noticed that in the shower the liner was just out of the package.

Boy that view from the lounge is something else, I guess that is what yu folks get in the lagoonview rooms vrs the gardenview, just beautiful.
Hey I want my canadian money to be on equal value to the american dollar so I can try lagoonview some time, lol Thanks again,
