I made a great countdown clipboard for our Disney trip. I bought a regular clipboard ($1 at Walmart!) and used Mod Podge to cover it with paper and stickers, etc. Then I bought a Mickey head punch and punched out Mickey heads to countdown from 90 days. I put numbers on the Mickey heads and put them on a ring. The ring is attached to the clipboard with ribbon. My girls get to pull one number off per day. This has been a great way to keep them motivated and keeps them from asking me how many more days!!
I can't post pics yet - but as soon as I can - I'll be sure to put one up here.

This is our first countdown board, it is real cool and going to be lots of fun for my DD she is 12 so we made it a lil more advance. But for the LiL Kids you could do alot of fun stuff with it.
Items-Poster Board, Mickey Mouse paint chips from Home depot, stick on letters, stickers(we used some themed to the resort for this year),Markers, magnets and a great imagination.
On the back of the paint chips we added things each worth some spending money at Disney, they included things like Household Chores for that day, Hidden Mickey Hunts,Trivia, things to get her ready for the trip and surprise cards.
So she gets to pull one off everyday and do what the card says for that day, sounds fun. Here are some pictures of the board.
