Hi to my fellow Canadians. I just want to give a huge thank you for all of the PMs I received for being selected to the 2009 moms panel. At this point I'm not sure if I'm the only Canadian on the panel or not, but regardless, I'll do my best to be our Canadian rep!

Thanks for all of your support!

Let me be the first here to say congratulations and the best of luck! How exciting and let us know how it goes :goodvibes

What did the process involve up to this point? Was it stressful or have you been having fun with it?

Thanks again everyone for your congrats. The process started with a general call to answer 3 questions in 100 words or less. This was capped at 20,000 entrants, though I'm not sure how many they received. Questions were along the lines of "tell us your best Disney tip." Then an email came saying I made it to the second round, with three more questions (100 words max again). Similar questions "how would you celebrate?", best Disney memory.

Then I got an email saying I made it to the last round, which was a 15 minute interview. The first parts were a breeze, but I actually got nervous before the interview. They interviewed 32 people for 16 positions. I got the call on Wednesday that I was selected. From what I can see so far, I'm the only Canadian, and there is one person from the UK. I think the rest are from the US.

We go for training Dec 5-9. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again!

Cool. Thanks for the details. Can you share what your answers were? I love hearing stuff like that but if you can't, I understand.

So, being in the moms panel, can you suggest them to build a Disney Hotel Resort here in Canada (like the one they are building in Hawaii)? Tell them LOTS of Canadian would love that.

Each Panelist goes to WDW for 4 days of training, obviously at Disney's expense. And are treated fabulously! In and of itself, this would be a trip of a lifetime! I would do it for this alone!

However, Disney also treats all Panelists to a 5 night stay at a Resort of their choice for up to four people.:)

Thanks again everyone! Yes, we're going to Disney Dec 5-9 for training, and from everything I've read about last year, it looks like we get to lots of fun things that I haven't done. We'll be staying at the Coronado Springs, which is exciting as I haven't been there before. I'll definitely let you all know how it goes.

Re- my answers. I knew they were accepting up to 20,000 applicants, so I tried to make them stand out as best I could in 100 words.

I haven't heard anything about us getting another trip this year as they did last, but my fingers are crossed!!
