Use year and planning ahead

Still looking for the "perfect" resale. Here's my question now. What use year should I be looking for? I already know we'd like to cruise and stay a week at our home resort next June 2002. We would have to use current points as well as borrow points. So would it be better to look for resale with a use year before or after June (FYI; we probably will take most of our "family" vacations in June)

Thanks for all your advice and help. I'd be totally lost without this board...or maybe I would be "normal"--not so obsessed with knowing everything Disney!! :) :)

If most of your vacations would be in June, then May would probably be a good Use Year. That way, if you cancel right up until the time of your vacation (except for 30 days before) you still have all your options open for banking, using again later in the year, etc., etc.

FYI - use years are not sold for the following months:

January, May, July, November

We usually travel in May & December, so I was looking for May, I ended up getting April. I asked my guide why no May, he wasn't sure but thought it was to simplify bookkeeping.
