We are trying Cali Grille for the first time next month :banana:

We are on the DxDDP. Is sushi or a flatbread considered an appetizer?

We went there in Oct and I believe both were considered appetizers.

First courses, flatbreads and most sushi are all considered appetizers at the CG. The cheese sampler can also be ordered as an appetizer or dessert.

There are only two sushi exclusions. I'll check for the names but they are the two most expensive and are huge. They can be ordered as an entree.

Yoshie's Deluxe Sushi Platter and Snake in the Grass are the two appetizer exclusions although as I said they can be ordered as an entree.

Yes, they're quite flexible at CG. We really enjoy the flatbreads and sushi and order them as either entrees or appetizers depending on our whim.

I have to say that my steak there was AWESOME! I found it better than Le Cellier.

good to hear, since I am allergic to most seafood, steak is my choice! I am going there for DH, who LOVES SUSHI! I guess he can pick 1 restaurant in 10 days :rolleyes1
