The new celebrations magazine came in the mail today. I know a lot of us have been looking for it's arrival.

Mine isn't here yet. I am more than disappointed in the lack of customer service. If they weren't well known I would have turned them into Paypal by now thinking it was a scam. At minimum I expected an email to let us know it would be delayed and a status update. :sad2:

Maybe it's in the mail. I live in the Atlanta area if that helps any.

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. If I don't get a copy by next week, I'll be emailing Lou.
And for what it's worth, the delays were mentioned on his podcast. If people subscribed who don't listen to that podcast, they would not have known. I agree that an email should have gone out to confirm the delay just for that reason alone.

ITA! I'll be emailing Lou next week as well if I don't receive a copy. I subscribed in late July after returning home from Magic Meets. I still have my PayPal receipt if necessary as proof of payment. I'm beginning to wonder if they lost me on the list??

I'm surprised at the lack of communication. How hard is it to send a mass email? I've been keeping up with info here, I don't usually listen to Lou's show.
When you are starting a new venture customer service and communication are very important. You want good word of mouth.

How is the magazine? I've been wondering how a guy living in NJ can write a magazine about Orlando/WDW......

Lou is the author of the Walt Disney World Trivia books and Tim Foster is the author of The Guide to the Magic book series. They both know A LOT about Disney.
I wonder why they didn't email people to let them know. I've done business with Lou with some of his other products he sells and he was great about communication. Hopefully those who haven't gotten get it soon, and definetly email him if you don't...he won't cheat or scam anyone and will want to know if you haven't gotten it.

I sent an email to Tim Foster from the link at www.celebrationspress.com and he responded almost immediately. He said that some may been delayed because of election mailings that needed to go out before last Tuesday. It's possible it got backlogged due to that. I sure hope so! He seemed pretty surprised I hadn't received it yet and maybe everyone else who hasn't received theirs should use the same link and contact him. Maybe then he'd know there was a widespread problem.

Got mine today! I just glanced through it, but all of the articles look interesting. The pages are good quality and the pictures are incredible. It is a major Disney geekfest. As long as the next issues arrive on time, I think I'm going to love it.

I received mine in the mail today, and I am impressed. I am familiar with Tim Devine's photography work, so I had high expectations going in that I'd see his handiwork. And the content ain't bad so far, either. ;)
Between this and Orlando Attractions magazines, I'll be a happy camper reliving the days of the old Disney Magazine.

I rec'd mine on saturday, me and my dh were fighting over who will read it first :lmao:
Got mine today (the Netherlands)
It looks great but there is on e big miner thing and that is that they send them out just the magazine, not in a envelope.
So mine arrived all broken and tear up. The first pages and last pages are almost not readable anymore :guilty:
Send them an email and hope that the next time they use a envelope.

The cover was torn on mine, but I am afraid it will take them an extra couple of months if they decide to put them in envelopes. ;)
Great idea! I will send an email also.

I received mine last week. It is a truly beautiful magazine and I am really enjoying it . . . BUT, has anyone else noticed the numerous misspellings, grammatical errors and overall missteps? Maybe they need to hire an independent proofreader to go over it right before final printing. I'm sure, as an editor, when you read and read and read the same thing, you don't always notice the errors. Just one example of a misstep: it said answers to the puzzle were on page 71, but it was really page 69.
I know this is a work in progress and these issues certainly haven't kept me from reading it cover to cover. :lovestruc

I loved the first issue.
I have sent an email about the magazine arriving all messed up and this is the great answer i got.
Hi Yvette!
I'm sorry, I thought I had replied to you, my mistake!
The good news is that we will be polybagging all future issues, so that
will protect them and also keep the covers free from all those nasty stamps
and stickers (it turns out the mailhouse messed that up, that wasn't
supposed to happen!).
As far as your first issue goes, I would be more than happy to send you a
new copy (in an envelope of course!!) Could you do me a huge favor and
forward your address to me again? I'll get it right out to you and you
should have it in a week or so...
I do apologize for the inconvenience, but rest assured I was just as
disappointed with the mailhouse as you were (we worked hard on that
cover!!), and am taking steps to ensure that your future issues arrive in
wonderful shape.
Thanks!
Tim

I got my issue last night and I've read a good portion of it already. I have to let Tim know I received it. Seeing that the US no longer distributes Song of the South, I was never really 100% sure what the story was behind Splash Mountain and now I know. That will make the ride a lot more enjoyable. I didn't realize that when we were going over the falls that we were actually being flung into the briar patch.
