I thought I'd start a thread for networking/roommate finding/waiting for the Fall apps to be up. Everyone is dying waiting for their letters and its killing me to wait to apply!

Anyway... I'm Justine, I'll be 21 in a month, I'm from PA, and I'm hoping to work in Attractions or Character Attendant! I just want to be part of the magic :wizard:

Oh yeah. The wait once you've been accepted is a lot worse (especially if you are doing Fall- at least both Spring and SA go down in Jan for the most part. Fall people don't go down til Aug!).

Welll I was a little to late in applying but even if I would have gotten it I wouldnt be able to go because of some medical issues right now..I would love to get the Fall Advantage to go ASAP! Im hoping for Attractions, Merchandise , Costuming and I would even do the Food Services ( I work for Buffalo Wild Wings currently ) so it wouldnt be a big deal to move into the Food Service. :thumbsup2 I think we should use some of the dis chats and start getting to know eachother...they are from 6:30-10 every night :D Come visit..I've met alot of awesome people!!

I hope to get character performer (I've auditioned 4 times now, and haven't passed). But if I don't pass again, I will also be picking character attendant again (I've done it twice), attractions, photopass, and maybe FSFB and costuming.

Do you (or anyone on here) know if the schedule for Entertainment auditions is released about the same time as the schedule for the presentations?

The audition dates are usually released after the school presentation goes up. So they aren't up right away.

I already know my school's presentation won't be til late March (at least). I just hope it isn't during my Disney trip. I should be there, as I am a campus rep. Hopefully it will be earlier or later then normal, and be before or after my trip.

It varies. But I feel people who do the live presentation (on average) hear back faster then those who do the online presentation. It probably varies for everyone though, with all the factors (like when the person applies, ect).

For me, the one time I did the live presentation I got the letter in 11 days. And when I did the online presentation I got the letter in: 2.5 months (also auditioned), 2.5 weeks, and just over 5 weeks. I will also be doing the online presentation again for this one.

Yeah, it was bad. But I didn't really have much of a choice (I interviewed the first week of Feb, the audition was March 30, and I didn't get my letter til almost 2.5 weeks after the audition).

I guess I should expect the same thing should I end up auditioning for Fall 09.

There is no limit to how many CPs you can do. You can be on the CP for up to a year, then you have to leave. But you can go back a semester later.

But when I get to FL I want to spend at least one night on the beach, it can be a quick one day one night thing but I have never been to a beach before and its on my list of things to do this year! Also as much as I hate to say this but I've never been to Universal sooo I would like to check that out also.

Back a bit, but DO the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare if you can! I LOVED it! My fav place of all of the resorts so far! I don't know if they did this last year but they send out coupons for discounts during the holiday season which come in handy at the Restuarants during the holiday time. Unfortuntly if they do the free dining again CM discounts will probably be blocked out again during that time.

You usually can schedule an interview a day or two after the online presentation. And the wait period varies for everyone. But hopefully it won't take too long for those who apply early.

Ive got so much to do before i go! Classes dont start back till tues from winter break and by the time there over it will be the middle of may and ill be heading down there! Has anyone looked at the application yet? If I want to do the online presentation, what do I enter for the question At which school will you attend the Walt Disney World College Program presentation? It says to enter e-presentation, but I can't find that option....I may be missing it, because I admittedly didn't look through the whole list...but if anybody knows, let me know! Thanks!

I have all of my paperwork done and watched the e-presentation 3 or 4 months ago, but I have to wait until it's up again to send my stuff in! I'm soooo anxious!! This wait is torture and I bet waiting for a response is going to be even harder! Good luck to all of you!

February is fairly early in the season, so you should be fine. However, even if you do a face-to-face presentation there's still a 95% chance your interview will be on the phone, so that really isn't too your advantage in terms of the interview.

That's right. Some of the presentations just have too many people to do live interviews. This makes it much easier.

Okay, so I called in, and they said the system won't be up until Friday to schedule interviews. Did anyone else hear that? They said they're sending around an email, but I haven't gotten it.

It probably will be in the 2-3 week range (I definitely would not complain if it's sooner! :teeth: ).

Wow. I most likely will know before my school has the presentations!
