HI Susan-

I wouldn't even consider doing Disney without a rental car. Yes they have bus service, but I prefer to be able to go my own way. DH and I used a rental car last year and we never had to take a tram from the parking lots! I also look at rental cars as a safety issue. You have a 2 year old, and Disney buses don't have car seats (most likely the limo doesn't, either). All the magic in Disney won't restrain your baby in an accident. You also mention that you are staying at CSR... this is a LARGE resort. DH and I stayed there last year and we would drive from our room to El Centro on mornings we wanted breakfast. We did walk the resort a few times, but on mornings when you are looking to get going, walking may not be your best option. Many people swear by the Disney transportation system, but I really think you'll be happier with a car of your own!

IMHO!!!

Susan: My DW and I are a lot like Erin. We always get a rental car. Why? It gives us the freedom to drive ourselves when we don't want to use the Disney bus. The Disney transportation is great, but ... if you are tired and just want to get back to your resort to jump into the pool (considering the 90+ degree temps already in place -- PHEW!), waiting for the bus even 10 min. may seem like forever.

We don't have kids, so safety is not an issue with us... it's all about the freedom. We don't use the car every day, but when we want to or need to, it's great to have it handy.
