Grand Californian on points [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

As a special treat, we are going to try the Grand Californian on points for three nights in September. We are going to arrive on a Saturday in L.A. and just stay at a regular hotel that night and then take a city tour (L.A. and/or Hollywood) and then check-in the GC on Sunday for a three-night stay. We plan to go to "California Adventure" one day and "Disneyland" another. Since we will be going on points, I will report back in late September, as to how we were treated, type of room, etc.
Anyone been there/have any tips or advice

While probably the wrong place to post this...we just got back from the Grand Calif. Very nice hotel. They do have some kinks to work out. We stayed on the concierge level. The concierge level is not all together kid friendly. The food served for breakfast and afternoon is geared more for adults. Was not your typical Disney "resort hotel.
