Can anyone confirm whether AAA charges any fees if you cancel your reservation or transfer a new reservation to them, having to cancel the first one?
I am more than 45 days out from my trip - there won't be any Disney cancellation fees, but does AAA charge any? Or does it depend on the AAA office???

The safest thing to do would be to call your agent.

Hmmm . . . I can tell you that I haven't been charged any fees for the cancellations and changes I've made for my trip starting 1/4. If it were me and I liked whatever deal is supposed to come out at 5, I'd book it myself and take the chance. Will you still be more than 45 days out on 11/17? If so, I don't see that you'd be losing anything by doing that.

I'm looking at my confirmation from my AAA travel agent for a 9/2009 trip...there's a line that says "AAA CANCEL FEE PRIOR TO FINAL PAYMENT: $25.00." Next line says "AAA CANCEL FEE AFTER FINAL PAYMENT: $50.00"
Don't know if that's the standard. Then the Vendor cancellation (Disney)
is listed as "To receive a full refund of your deposit notificiation of cancellation must be received at least 5 days prior to arrival as stated in the brochure: Cancellation penalties apply."
I believe last year, my AAA travel agent told me Disney's cancellation penalty was $50 (also their "change reservation fee" if change made within 45 days of arrival.)

Most AAA agencies just charge whatever disney charges. Some add their own penalties
