How, where, and how long can I use the matching developer's points that I will now get if I buy additional points at BLT? :confused3

Per dvcnews.com,

The Developer's Points can be used to book any of the DVC resorts 7 months in advance of arrival (pending availability) or they can be applied to non-DVC destinations like the Disney Collection (Disneyland resorts, DCL, etc.) or World Passport Collection.

I guess that means I can use them for a couple nights in Chicago at the Whitehall Hotel in the Concierge Collection, wouldn't you think?

News to me. I could only use mine to book at SSR for Kidani incentives. This is pretty kool if it's true for the new BLT incentives but everything in me tells me it isn't true. WP was true with mine.

This quote was specific to BLT only -- it had nothing to do with those more "limited" type developer points they gave for AKL. Now whether it's correct or not, I don't know - but it's only about the BLT incentives announced today.

BLT VPO (Developer Points) can only be used at SSR, DLR and World Passport Collection. They must be used by October 2009.

I think this is a question best directed to a guide until a few days pass and the consistent story emerges. What I've seen reported is that you get POINTS matching your buy-in at SSR, DLR or World/Concierge **OR** a 3-night stay in a 1BR or a 5-night stay in a 1BR at any DVC resort, depending on how many points you buy.
