It's a free whatever you're celebrating button and 2 adults and a 2 kids in a value plus MYW tickets for the low low price of rack rate. ;)

Actually, I heard some rumors that it might be buy 4 nights get 3 free.

what does free dining usually entail? right now we are booked at the beach club for a week with 8 day park hoppers, if they add free dining what would that mean for what I already booked?

That crazy Jim Cramer did say that Disney's quarterly earnings report would be released tomorrow.....and to not dump Disney stock until we see the 1st qtr of 2009. So, my expert opinion is that Disney is going to offer some "We're sorry about the wheat buns and nuggefying the chicken strips" discounts for early '09. ;)

If they really mean it they will get RID of the wheat buns (or at least give us a choice) and bring back the chicken strips!!!

I found this over on the codes and rates board...
Nah, not taunting, just good-natured teasing. ;)

It's going to be a really great vacation package offer, and if my sources are correct, it will run January 4 through June 27, but there will be some dates blocked out during that time. You heard it here first!

That's all I'm sayin' for now. We should know tomorrow, I hope!

I wonder what that will do for those of us who already have trips planned during that time. HMMMMMM.........maybe I can change from my currently booked land/sea package to the podcast cruise and THEN get 7 nights in the parks!!:dance3:

Okay, personally this would be a great discount if I could get it for room only. 4 nights room only for my dates at AKL (I would get 7 nights cause the last 3 nights would be free) is approx 1400. AP rate for 7 nights is nearly 1700. I would get a savings of 300 bucks plus a 200 gift card. Bringing my total savings to 500. So, if you can do room only this is awesome cause now I could stay at my ultimate goal resort and actually afford it. . .lol.

I am not planning to travel until Sept I wonder what they will offer by then, if you do the math I wonder what %off this would be, I need to get my calculator. Do you think if you are on the dining plan that will also be extented the 3 extra days? Don't think I am dumb but this is my stupid question of the day, the rumored offer says "for every 4 days get 3" would that mean if you had 8 days you would get 6 free?

I would prefer a really great room-only discount as well since we're trying to squeeze another trip out of our AP's before they expire in August. However, if the package deal is too good to pass up, I guess we can still book it and save the tickets included for another visit (along with the umpteen 1-day base tickets we already have from all the times we've done this before!).

About a week ago we had heard that some sort of discount may be released on 11/6 at 5PM. We chose not to say anything about it without the details for this very reason.

There is a lot of speculation as to what it might be and who might or might not be eligible. Some people are actually getting nasty about this on other threads and no one has any official information about it yet.

While you all know I love to 'tease' you all about stuff we're doing, I don't feel comfortable putting out teases based on info from Disney unless we are sure it is good solid info. Besides, I can usually 'back up' my teases with some cool stuff - we have no such promise that what Disney will offer will be cool.

I know it's hard to wait but let's all take a deep breathe and see what happens at 5PM tonight.

I sincerely hope it is an awesome offer that most people will be able to take advantage of. I have my ideas from what I have heard but on this one I am waiting.

Just a reminder - if you have already booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel you will be our first priority in getting you any discount or offer that comes up that you are eligilble for. Your agent will apply any discount automatically and inform you via email.

This is why I am so glad I booked our trip through Dreams! I'm anxious to see about any possible offer, but at least I don't have to worry about rushing to apply a code or rebooking something.

I think it's fun to speculate, hope, and think, but there's no reason to get nasty about things. Especially when none of us have the information. I agree with your assessment about taking a deep breath and waiting to see what happens.

At least this thread is not getting carried away with itself. It's one of the things I like about the Podcast Forum. Although, I guess we can get a little carried away with some things planned by the team. But that's just because we care...

Why would people get nasty over a possible discount!? I agree with a previous poster, this is the best forum to discuss anything. I have noticed that some people get a little carried away in other locations.

I don't think this is new...this is the same type of "offer" that has been on the Boarder's site before. They ususally don't end up being any better or different than the basic discounts you can get anywhere.

I think there are a lot of details in that offer that need to be announced before we can say its a good offer or not. Booking 4 nights and getting 3 free is good and all, but is that room only? Is that rack rate for the 4 nights? Still a lot to be figured out yet.

All this hype all day and it only applies if you are staying at a value resort and the fine print says "select" so it may not be all of them!!! That is not a "HUGE" deal. Huge to me would be if it didnt matter what type of resort you were staying at the discount would be for everybody.

Duh.. I don't know why I didn't think of this.

I already had 7 day park hoppers and was bummed that I was "only" going to save $190 :rolleyes1 Sure, I'd have two 7 day park hoppers that never expired, and sure I knew I'd be going back soon, but when..??

So I called back and changed it to a 1 day base and saved a total of $605 over my original reservation

I was told that I had to purchase the same amount of park tickets (even though I had an AP) for everybody in my room. (My husband and grandson) in order to get the "free days" off the room and tickets...as well as the $200 rebate...This would also include the dining plan...Maybe it was because of the "Dining Plan" that everybody has to have everything the same. I don't know...I just know, that even though I had to do it..it still saved us money. We already had our reservations and had planned to participate in the Dining Plan...My sister (who also has an AP) and her husband did the same thing. My daughter in law and son, who would have two kids in their room...really saved some money! :cool1: We are all on the dining plan and are staying six nights.

I guess my sister and I can use our "unused" park tickets for upgrading when it is time to renew our AP's...:confused3 Or else, give them to somebody we know...

Got ours for 2 adults. My brother's reservation had 2 adults & 2 kid, they also saved enough to equal the dining package - so they just added dining and told themselves it was "free dining"
