Fireworks in the Kitchen tonight !! ***Yay My Oven is Mended***

AAAArghhhhhhh !!!!!!!! its not been a good night


cant belive it, we were all sat around waiting for dinner when there was an almighty bang and all the lights went out. We all jumped out of our skins:scared1:

wondering what an earth had happened I wondered into the kitchen to find the heating element in our oven has blown so now can only cook on the hob:headache:

and to top it all dinner has exploded all over the oven and made a terrible mess. We had to make quick trip to the chippie :eek:

just what you need before christmas :sad2:

OMG now Im really worried, DH is talking about trying to mend it himself ,last time I checked he was a computer programmer not the oven repair man, he is terrible at all DIY Ill probalbly need a brand new kitchen by the time he has finished :scared1:

What a nightmare Rachel. This happened to me earlier this year, the cooker had sparks going off inside it ~ and to add insult to injury, my washing machine packed up the same week. There's no way I'd let my hubby near it to try and fix it. Thankfully after a quick trip to Curry's, I had new appliances within a couple of days

well I think ive talked him around, and he is now looking at getting someone to mend it or getting a new one Phew. I think ive hurt his pride though, he is sulking because I didnt think he could do it Honestly :confused3

May i join you in the fireworks in the kitchen Rachel?.We had them in our kitchen last night,lovely green+blue sparks from underneath the washing machine-so pretty.Resulting in a fantastic finale of a big blue flash from the electrics circuit in the hall before it all went dark in the house :lmao: .x.
