"Due to regulations set-forth by Disney Event Services no audio or video recording of any kind is permitted at the event. In addition, by entering this event you agree that any photographs you take are for your own personal use and will not be printed or published in any way, shape or form. This includes, but is not limited to, newspaper, magazine, promotion, advertising, website, blog or discussion forum."

What is Disney Event Services trying to hide by not allowing us to post any pictures? Their secret dessert recipes, perhaps? (Did someone say CAKE?!?!?) :cake: Or is it the price they will be charging us at the cash bar? :drinking1 Or maybe it is the incredibly high scores we are all going to get on TSM? :yay:

This has to do with the contact Dreams Unlimited Travel signed with Disney for this event. It basically contaings language that says they have complete control over all the images from this event. In order to ensure these images are not used in any commercial venue they have wide sweeping clauses to prevent their use anywhere without their expressed permission.

While the DIS and DISBoards are free websites they still are commercial websites and not affiiliated with Disney so they have to do their best to protect their licensing and branding.

I travel alone quite frequently so I'm used to it. Don't worry, you will both have a great time. Folks from the Dis are super friendly, fun people. No one will let you stand in the corner by yourself, promise. Plus if you join us for Friday's DATW you'll have already made some friends. (alcohol tends to loosen you up ya know) :rotfl:

As for scoring on TSM, don't worry. I am legally blind. If I can score 157,000 points, anybody can. (my high score so far with lots of practice)

And all of you solo travelers who are a little nervous: I've made many trips to WDW alone, and always have a blast. In general, people visiting Disney are friendly, and happy to chat with you.

But this event will be BEYOND amazing! You'll know that EVERYONE there is ready to meet you, and that in fact we will all be anxious to make sure that it is the most incredible event ever! :cool1:

For the record, I am totally stepping out of my comfort zone here. My first ever solo trip, at the age of 35? An attraction full of people I've never met? I do not do well in these situations, at all. Even if you are all Disney freaks (and I mean that in the BEST way!), I'm as nervous as I am excited!

I'll be there and I am slightly claustrophobic (sp?). Imagine going to parties at 20+ with my parents at conventions and not being in the profession. I stopped going to them after a while when I realized I had nothing in common.

About those rules, the only thing I can think of is that we will be able to access areas of the ride that are normally off limits to everyone. I think it will be the case. I was at a convention 6 years ago in orlando where a company had rented the American adventure in Epcot for dinner and Illuminations. We were able to photograph and video during the entire event. The only difference was we didn't go back stage at the American Adventure. We did go out the back entrance to Epcot center at the end of the night because it was the quickest way out of the park with out shuttling everyone to the front.

Well I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I will not be coming for dessert since I am Diabetic and cant eat dessert unless they are sugar free. One of the reasons I am not attending a lot of the dessert meets at Mousefest.

Well 1 month and a day till my trip. Can't wait.

Just wanted to let you know that there's usually sugar free desserts offered or at least there is in restaurants at Disney. I'm diabetic as well and usually am able to find something sugar free which is nice. On the Disney cruise I was actually amazed that I had a choice!!! Now if only they would offer something other than diet Coke.

You know the funny thing about it, I have lived in texas for 30 years and it wasn't till I moved to Sugar Land in 93 did I find out about the plant. We drove by it on the way to Houston all the time but I never put two and two together till then. Oh and about the coincidence, I didn't become diabetic till after we moved here. Yea too much sugar in the air (and salty air and polution and Oh you get what I mean). I am rambling anyway I will be looking for those sugar free stuff at the party. I know about the parks, its just the special events that I am worried about.

Yes, wouldn´t miss the party for the world! Saw your message on the other board and you can tell the people at work that there are actually 2 Disney fans in Stockholm. My fiancee is crazy about Disney too! :rotfl: I totally feel the same way, Disney fans in Sweden are hard to find.

So funny that you moved from LA, Ca. Last year me and my guy actually lived in LA, we attended Santa Monica College. It was so great living that close to Disneyland.

Amen to that. This is our first Mousefest too, so we are just going to go along with the flow, enjoy seeing Disney at Christmas time, and have as much fun as we can cram into our short stay!
