AKV Jambo House 5th Floor Floorplan

Hi All,

I have been sitting on this for a while, just didn't have time to post (Halloween keeps me real busy - but thats another story). After our June AKV visit, and walking the entire 5th floor, I have put together a floorplan with room numbers, just like the one I did for BCV.

I don't have the 6th floor, but if anyone would like to send me the information on the room numbers, I will gladly put one together.

I am also going to start to gather and add any room views I can get - so if anyone has photos of the view from their AKV room and can remember the room number, and is willing to share, please PM me.

:worship: :worship: :worship: I've been working on a similar map but it's been slow going so thank you so much for doing this! If you are interested, you can get a list of the room numbers for the HA rooms from Tim's Jambo House room database (http://dvcnews.com/index.php?option=com_fabrik&Itemid=218).

Details about all of the 6th floor room numbers are listed there as well (select Concierge for the room class). They are positioned above the 5th floor rooms with the same/similar numbers:

On the Sunset Savanna side of the lobby:
6201: Studio
6202: 1BR, HA with a roll-in shower instead of a tub
6205: 1BR, HA with a tub/shower
6206: Studio
6208: 1BR
6209: Studio

On the pool side of the lobby:
6401: Studio
6402: 1BR
6405: 1BR
6406: Studio

ETA: Something that would be very helpful would be to mark the location of the laundry room. I believe it is on the Zebra Trail, just off the lobby, next to room 5408.

LisaS - Thanks for the 6th floor information, I'll try and pull a map together. I noticed that the doors between the 5th and 6th floors did not align, so I don't think the configuration is identical to the 5th floor, but I'll give it a go.

I will also try and add the HA information and the location of the laundry room - I did notice it on my travels down all the hallways and yes you are correct, it is next to room 5408.

The view from the room was good although as we were the top floor we could just see over the trees to Osceola Parkway and in the distance Summit Plummit at Blizzard Beach!

Re: the HA rooms in Tim's database, I collected most of the HA room numbers from the floor plans and I have found they are not 100% correct. For example, they do not show room 6202 as having a roll-in shower instead of a tub -- that was reported by someone who stayed in that room. So depending on how difficult it is to update the map, you may want to wait until we have verification on some of that room data. Marking the laundry room would be very helpful though!


ETA: There are many rooms that appear to be HA (based on the floor plans) but only the following four villas have been confirmed (by a room report) to be HA rooms.

5483: GV - roll-in shower in master bath and a tub
5319: 1B - roll-in shower, no tub
6205: 1B - assist bar, has a tub
6202: 1B - roll-in shower, no tub

I thought these floor plans might be helpful. They show the rooms that run along each side of the lobby. The first plan is for the 5th floor, the second one is for the 6th floor. The rooms that have balcony doors that swing out instead of slide are HA rooms but the interior of those rooms is not always accurate!

Rooms on the left face the Sunset Savanna, rooms on the right face the pool.
