I have been thinking about properly learning French for a while now and I have decided now is the time to start!.
I have a reasonable understanding of basic French from my GCSE, but that was about 7-8 years ago!. Does anyone have any tips on the best way to learn, I don't really have the time for lessons, so I am thinking of either online or tapes etc. Any help would be great! :thumbsup2

I might have imagined this, but isn't there a Nintendo game called 'French Coach' or something? I recall seeing languages games for French and Spanish.

Best way to learn any language is through a native speaker - they quite often advertise in libraries... and often will come to you too.
My friend is Italian and runs her own business this way - some people book lessons once a week, or once a fortnight, or if lessons are tricky, she recommends the rosetta stone package with a native speaker top up once a month or so (to ensure pronunciation and syntax are correct).

Thanks for all the advice :)
I am looking into the Rosseta Stone package, and I am going to see if there is a local French speaker to visit every so often. Thanks again, given me some good ideas!
