When do you find out which stateroom you get?

I am in the process of just starting to make ressies through DU. Will they tell me right away which stateroom we get or do I find out when the docs arrive? I am so excited!!!! This will be our first cruise for the family!!!!!

I booked under a cat 9 guarantee. Other cat's my agent was able to give me room numbers but my husband wanted the cheapest. So my cabin room was on my documents. We are in 1064 on deck 1.

You can request a certain room if you know what you want. In that case you will be guaranteed that room and you will know it at booking. Thats what we did to get our secret porthole.

I booked 2 cat.11 rooms for us and parents. I didn't request any specific room number. A few days later on our on-line confirmation, my parents had a room assignment and we had a gty. I thought this was odd. A few weeks went by after final payment was made so I inquired about our room. Our DU rep checked with Disney and then listed a room number for us at that time. We cruise May 26 and have known our room numbers for a month or so.

In most instances you are assigned a stateroom at the time of booking and you would get that information with your quote from Dreams. :)

I booked our upcoming Sept. cruise last July through DCL and was given the room # before I hung up the phone.

Mine was listed on my confirmation.

Both times I booked a cruise, I had my room number (Cat. 11,) before I even paid the deposit. The first time (last May) my TA offered me several choices. I didn't really care, so she booked the one SHE liked (6083). This time, I asked for the same room, which wasn't available, but the one next door was (6085). She told me when she called me back with my price quote, and the number was on my confirmation.
