This may be a silly question, but how do CMs get "certified" for bilingual?

I was wondering, do CMs have to take a test or do something to show fluency in a second language? I ask b/c I used to speak German (grew up in Germany), but have been out of it for so long, I'm very rusty. I'm also interested in learning Spanish, but didn't know if they prefer a certain program or how it worked.

You can sign up to take a test once you get here and then get your language pin. They also have free language videos if you want to brush up before your test.

It's a verbal exam. When I got my Language Pin in French, I did it over the phone with someone from Epcot (WDW handles the Language Pin program for all of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts).

The main thing they're looking for is that you are able to understand the gist of the language, and give directions/instructions that are comprehensable and in line with Disney Standards of Show and Courtesy.

All are done over the phone, except the ASL exam (which is done in person). I will be taking it next summer. I really hope I can remember enough to pass.
