VB restaurants

We'll be at VB March 13-15. We're meeting friends out-of-town for dinner 1 night, so we have 1 night to have dinner at VB. Searching previous threads on this board, I found recommendations for various restaurants. My question- should we dine on-site at Sonya's or try 1 of the off-site restaurants? We like fine dining, so cost is not a consideration.

I had a disappointing experience at Sonya's but did have a good meal there prior to the bad one. The food all comes from the same kitchen so the food is basically the same as at Shutters just served in a more elegant setting.

I really enjoy the Ocean Grill right on the water in Vero proper. This restaurant is well-known and very popular with the locals. The Black Pearl sounds interesting and gets good reviews but I don't have any first hand experience.

A very reasonable place to eat is a sports bar/resturant is Vero Surf. Excellent food, good quanity and very reasonable.
