I can not find if this has been asked before but Can someone let me know-
After I have found some Fonts and saved them to a file on my computer- How do I make them "usable" from my programs? I can't make them go to my Fonts list on my e-mail or in the Word document program I have- Please help...

You have to actually install them in your Fonts folder. Go to your fonts folder, click on file, a choice to install new fonts should be available to click on. Click on it and follow the directions.
Make sure you save the fonts to a file so you can fine them easily to install.

Okay,
I have tried that- I have a Fonts Folder in Control Panel under Appearances etc- and all the current fonts that came on my computer are there...
When I saved these new fonts I saved them to a folder I named as Fonts and it is in my Documents-
To install it won't give me the option to pull from there- How do I get them saved to my Fonts File that is set up in Control Panel?
I tried going back to the site to save to my Control Panel it doesn't give me that option and an install option doesn't come up...
What am I doing wrong?
Thx!

It's possible they need to be unzipped. Have you tried clicking on them and seeing what happens? If an unzip option comes up or an unzip wizard pops up then direct them to extract them to your Fonts folder. I have also had to click on the font in my Font folder to get them to register.

I usually save downloaded fonts to my "C" drive. That way, I can access them when I go to install them in my fonts folder.

You don't have to install all the fonts you want to use. I use The Font Thing, free download, and it will open the folder you have the fonts in (could be saved on CD) and it will read them and your program will "think" they are installed and they are useable. Saves TONS of room on your pc! I probably have over 500 different fonts. (blush)

If you have windows all you do is copy the fonts and paste them into your font folder which is C:windows:fonts
