Question to help the needy!!!!!

Ok, so I have an EMERGENCY question. My office each year tries to have fundraisers to bring in money to help those less fortunate during the holidays. They decided to volunteer me to take holiday pictures of families for a $10 donation and then I'll put them onto a cd for each of them. Here's my problem: what do I use for the background??? I have my camera, my tripod, my flash, but I don't know what to do for the background. I thought about setting up a Christmas tree with wrapped presents underneath it, but would a person pay $10 to have their picture with a Christmas tree in front of a plain office wall? What else would I use to cover the wall or put in the picture?? HELP!!!!!!

yes, but with the same background on a number of photos I think I would get seamless paper and a Christmas tree or something like that, might be easier than photoshopping each pic.

Is the office in a building with ornate areas here and there? Would they let you set up the tree in different areas including common areas so different photos can have different backgrounds?

Go to your local fabric store and buy a few yards of green, red or some sort of holiday related material, then just tack it up for your background.

You can also use a king sized sheet from wal-mart or other cheapie store. You can use those huge outdoor light strings as a prop and drape it around the family. I also know that wal-mart has huge non breakable (plastic) round ornaments that a child could hold. They actually look pretty nice in a photo.

That's a GREAT idea Jen!! THANKS!!! I was thinking about hanging the sheet for the backdrop and having a Christmas tree on the side for color/theme, but I didn't even think about the giant ornaments. What are you talking about though on the outdoor light strings? You mean the regular outdoor white lights and maybe drape them over a shoulder or something? That could be really cool! I'd love to hear any more thoughts/ideas!! :thumbsup2

...and for a measley $10, you'd be crazy to spend all that time in photoshop for each photo!
