We are staying at OKW without a car.Does everyone take a taxi to the expo?

Linda,

All Disney resorts have buses that take you back and forth from the expo. You may have already known that. At Pop at least there was always a bus sitting there waiting for people. When one left another would come.

As far as I know, all the hotels have shuttle buses running to the WWoS where the expo is. I do know for a fact that you can catch a bus to the WWoS from Hollywood Studios (which we did for the MInnie 15k in May) if for some reason your resort doesn't have a shuttle bus, but I doubt it.

Do they usually run as of Thursday does anyone know? I did not expect that they would have a bus.That is great.We will arrive before 5 pm on Thursday-I hope!

The buses usually start running around 1:00 pm on Thursday from all resorts to the expo.

Does anyone know when / if there is spectator transportation to watch the half marathon? I'm staying at POR. Thanks! :)

Ed - Absolutely! There will be more details when teh brochure goes online later this month or next, but we always use the buses to cheer for the half.

There will be spectator information in the race brochure. I know that last year you were able to view and download the brochure online before it was even mailed.

As far as the expo goes, I HIGHLY recommend getting there as early on Thursday as you can. I was there last year right at opening and walked right up to the pickup. As I was leaving the line was out the door. A lot of people come down on Thursday evening so there are less people there on Thursday anyway.

Those of you doing the full might want to consider getting the packet on Saturday since all the halfers would have already gotten theirs.

I just found this thread. It is great. I am running the 1/2 in January & was wondering how I was going to get to WWoS. I'm staying at All Stars. Now I know how get there. Thanks.:cool1:

We get in at 5pm(airport)Thursday and I want to go to the expo that night.What are the chances I can get there before close at 8pm? If I get to OKW will they have a bus at that time to jump right on do you think?Or do they circulate like the theme park buses?

The "charter" expo buses run kinda like the disney buses, about every 15 min or so.
