Has anyone been to this in the past? It doesn't start until 12/20, and I wonder if it's worth rearranging my trip to check it out. They don't give much info on the website. Thanks!

We have annual passes to Legoland and always go sometime in December, although not always during the dates of the Holiday Block Party. When are you planning to go? I probably wouldn't rearrange your travel dates. It will be more crowded during this time. Not DLR crowded, but still more crowded than other times due to the huge influx of visitors during this time of year to Southern California. We don't mind the crowds since we go quite often and don't feel the need to get on every ride. If you are going earlier in December, they will already have the holiday decorations up. They just won't have all of the other things associated with the block party, like musical entertainment and fireworks. I'm sure you'll have a great time whenever you go. My kids, DS12, DS9 and DD6, absolutely LOVE Legoland. DS9 is obsessed with Lego bricks and much prefers Legoland to DLR. He's not a roller coaster rider yet, but he could spend hours in Miniland.

Thanks for your reply! What you say about the crowds makes a lot of sense. I think we will keep our trip in early Dec.

When you say the decorations are up, does that include the special holiday lego sculptures? I would really like to see the sleigh and santa in Legos but am not willing to fight crowds for it!

Thanks for your help. :flower3:

Yes, the decorations including the Lego tree and Santa with sleigh are up well before the block party. I'm just not sure how early in December they will be up. The earliest we usually go is mid-December. Every year I take a photo of my kids in front of the tree and in Santa's sleigh. Have a wonderful trip!
