for the first time ever! :)

I started walking 3 mi/day on Sept 1, which led to going just a little faster (jog/run). I worked my way up to 1 mile running/2 miles walking and just kept "upping" the running. Finally today I made it twice around the track; 3 miles. I spoke to someone the other day who told me I must be doing the "couch to 5K" program. So I looked it up and I guess I'm doing that (in my own way and at my own pace.)

Anyhoo...just had to share my good news. :woohoo:

Awesome job. Are you going to try a 5K? Crossing that finish line the first time is an amazing feeling.

I never even really thought about it! Guess I should start setting some goals. It's going to be hard when it starts to get VERY cold here. I don't mind the cold at all (but don't like ice/snow) and I have found out that I much prefer to be outside than inside on the treadmill.

I agree 100%. I am in Cleveland so I know all about the cold. I have some pretty warm winter gear and love running in the winter. I do suck it up and settle for the treadmill if it is icy though.
