HEY NOW!!!!

Just because I am so darn crazy busy this week that I can't keep up with the the posts does not mean you all need to go "banana crazy" on me!!!

:rotfl:I am NEVER gonna live the banana thing down, am I??

all I have to say is...I had my turn, so when June comes around...it will be some of you going up on stage!

But really not sure about the yellow boa. Not really my color.

Can I go with either black, red, or hot pink? Doesn't matter which. I'm with Stacerita....I'm thinking of reusability.

Plus...the dinner chat I had with my vegas buddies has got me all motivated to spice things up at home....and I have things to match red, black, and hot pink.

I will go at lunch. Today is a redbull day. But wow, I had a blast. Astros won  But I was close enough to Manny to take pics and tell him hi for Deb. Yes, we are. And one certificate for 11 bucks would feed two people.

You have to first register which is free, then you just call in to the show and tell 'em what you want. It's so easy. They will mail out to you if you ask them to.

ETA :For mail out, I think you need to spend $20.

Sometimes they will even have sales on their sales. LOL
For example the Chippendales tickets we got, were a $110 value for a pair (regular price) on sale there for $39 for the pair. A good deal, right?

Well, the day Ruben was listening, they knocked the pair down from $39 to $25 for a pair with a buy one pair, get one pair free deal. So four pairs for 25 bucks.

I don't mean to shove this info down anyone's throats, but it's saved us tons of money! They offer services too, like massages, hair cuts, everything. It's pretty amazing and for my family we need to save every penny we can.

ETA: Right now whenever Ruben listens he keeps an ear out for the Stripper 101 class. :thumbsup2

Yep, you call in. It's an AM station. You can call during their show, not sure if you can call other times.......I'd have to ask Ruben. You are on air, but it's no big deal. lol
It's not too hard to get in. Ruben's usually the one who calls and he's never had to wait too long. The show hosts are usually really nice and patient, willing to answer any questions, especially if you are new.

I think you can listen online too. Listen sometime so you can hear how it works. It's really very easy.

Theresa, I just checked with Ruben and he said we can pick tickets/certificates up for other people. So for example if you signed up, but they won't mail to you in Canada or they will but it costs a lot, I can get your key number from you and pick up your order, pay for it and then you can pay me back.

Everyone else can ask for it to be shipped out. I think I'm going to order one of those Earl certificates. I like it there so I'll use it for sure at some point.

They also have bowling packages sometimes. Oh and the other day the had discounts for Mad Greek which I know you two like.

As for the Earl's it's a $19 certificate for $11. That's enough for two people. So maybe who ever orders one, can split that with someone else and they can pay you for half the cert. kwim?
$19 at Earl's is too much food for one person.

As for Mad Greek their food is a little more pricey but I still think two people could share a $20 cert.
And if you're bill is $25, you just use your cert and pay the difference.

Hey, every little savings helps to add more money for OG. :rolleyes1

LOL I was going to suggest that. I want some "stripper" type songs on there if that's ok.
Cowboy by Kid Rock
Let Me Blow Your Mind by Eve and Gwen Stefani
You Can Leave Your Hat On by Joe Cocker
You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC
Butterfly by Crazy Town
Buttons by Pussycat Dolls
Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard
Dirty by Christina Aguilera

Just some off the top of my head. If you want, I can make a CD too with more of the wild, raunchy songs.
Hey, we gotta practice our moves from class don't we?? :rolleyes1

Make up your mind woman! I thought we were sharing. lol

I'll share with anyone ;) I was hedging my bets - you were "watching TV" Is anyone else interested in the certificates? It looks like we are getting two sets then - Stacielee and Beth are getting them and I will definitely share. Anyone else?? I bet Wendy would like to share?

I took the stripper name quiz again twice, and got Valentina and Diablo. lol
Either of those any better?

I think Angel should be my stripper name. Just saying. (to quote Stacie)

I say Diablo (spicy!!!)

Mud pitt? You mean business.

I love those songs. Great stripper songs. You can also add Cherry Pie and Centerfold.

I would go with Diablo. I think that suits you.

Real quick, those of you who signed up for the Radio Show did you get the April clearance email??
They have BOGOF on many items. Stacie, Amy and Jane, that Haunted Vegas tour is in there. Regular price for a pair of tickets is $93. It's on sale for $45 with BOGO. So it's two pair for $45 or a little over $10 a person.

If anyone wants that email that didn't get it, PM me your address and I'll forward it to you.

Looking at the schedule that's what I came up with. Friday night. The tour starts at 9:30 so it's late enough that we could do a dinner someplace fun before hand.

The only problem is it runs from 9:30 until midnight. Will that make the start of the slumber party too late at night?? :confused3

I think that would be fine - who needs to sleep??? I would be good with that if anyone/everyone else would be game.

And.............. Just to confuse everyone and all - one of those BOGO deals was for the Chippendale's show - $39 for four tickets. Would anyone be up for doing that instead of Thunder (which is about $50 each)??? I personally have never been to either and both sounds really fun (right Amy and Jane :rolleyes1). Donna, the radio show membership is free. Anyone can sign up.

The sharing we were talking about is for certificates for the June trip.

For example, I can buy one Earl of Sandwich certificate that is a $19 value, but I only have to pay $11 for it. So I just saved $8.
BUT I cannot eat $19 worth of food at Earl's by myself, so I'll share with Theresa. She pays me half of the $11, which is $5.50 and she can get her whole meal (sandwich, chips and a drink) for that price. Not a bad price for a good lunch.

It's not saving a TON of money, couple dollars here and there on the food, but it helps. You can really get big savings on the show tickets though as evidenced by our Chippendale tickets. :thumbsup2

Hope that helps. I know it can be confusing at first.

That just means it's either good at both locations or you can pick which one you want. Some of them are good at several locations or when you call they will ask you do you want the Planet Hollywood location or the Sunset Station location and then you specify which one.

I hear you! The Chippendales was going to replace Thunder if everyone was okay with that and if we can get the 4 for $40 tickets. The Haunted Tour we don't have a time specified, just trying to see if there is interest and where we can fit it in. Just looking for the good deals!!!!

ok...trying to catch up (again):

I am going to try to take thurs and friday off the week you all will be here so I can be around more. I was hoping there would be room in a timeshare so I can crash Wed, Th, and Fri night (assuming I can swing the days off). I'll pay for the week of course...just want to have an option so I won't have to drive back and forth those nights. Wed is for sure because my hubby is off Thursdays so I won't have to take the kids to school. I just have to line up my sister-in-law to help Friday and Sat.

Anyways, I'll try to get everything lined up in the next week and let you know.

I am totally up for chippendales again. i mean, i'm thinking most of the stage shows are probably the same, so if we can get a good deal, all the better.

and absolutely on the haunted vegas tour!! woohooo!!!

sorry about rambling....lmk if there is room in a timeshare for me to crash.

I am totally fine with seeing the Chippendales again instead of Thunder... especially for the price! And I am super, super excited by the Haunted Tour, but I think that we need to double check to see when it runs, 'cause I think it's dark on Friday nights.

I will be taking half days on Tuesday & Thursday to shop with y'all and then joining in for most of the evening fun on Mon, Wed, maybe Thursday & definitely Friday. And, I too, am hoping there will be a small corner I can crash in on Friday night for the slumber party. But, other than that I will need to head home every night so that I can take Ty to school in the mornings as his daycare is 5 minutes from my office and 25 minutes from Dave's making it nearly an hour round trip for him to do morning drop offs...

I'm interested in doing the tour too. Can someone point me to a link where I can get more info about it? I don't really like going into things like that blindly.

Sorry to hear that you're still sick Wendy. Thank god I'm feeling better as we are scheduled to leave around 1 tomorrow... and i too still need to pack.

Are we still thinking about hitting Diablo's on monday night? If so I saw that they have 2/1 tickets on the radio shopping show list. Local girls get in free, but everyone else would have to pay $10 cover or $5 cover with the radio show deal.

I can't see that I will ever have time to call in myself, but if someone can pick me up a Earl of Sanwich certificate I would be eternally grateful. Even if I can't use it while y'all are here, it will not go to waste as that's one of my faves on the Strip!

Well, I called about the tour and it's running every night including Fridays. That is recent though. They USED to be dark on Fridays, so perhaps some websites have not updated their info yet.

Also Chippendale's runs nightly as well. Some nights they have one show and some nights two shows, but they are never dark according to the Vegas.com and Rio/Chippendale websites. :confused3

So we are good to keep things the way they are if you like.

OR

If you prefer to do the Haunted Tour on another night so the slumber party doesn't start so late, I can still tweak the schedule. Let me know please. :)

Since everyone else is packing for Disney except me :sad2: I went ahead and did a sample schedule change. Let me know if this works better for you. I'm working hard to make sure it all flows so we don't do a lot of Strip hopping which can be tiresome and expensive.
The changes are in red. Nothing was taken out, just rearranged to fit better.

SCHEDULE

Sunday, June 21
Arrival day for some of the ladies.
Check into the hotel and get settled.
I can meet you at hotel to drop off groceries, or we can make a store run.
Walk or drive the Strip.
Late dinner at Margaritaville, and then either hang out on the Strip or head back to hotel depending on how tired everyone is.

Monday June 22
(more ladies arrive today)
Small breakfast in hotel room to save money.
At 10:00 meet up to tour some of the hotels:
Start at M&M World and the Coke Store.
MGM/Lion Habitat
Walk across to NY NY, then to Excalibur.
Lunch at Dick's Last Resort (ok, I did have to take out the other two options and add Dick's here as it's a FUN place to eat and since we aren't doing Thunder I took it off that night)
End up at Luxor.

Back to hotel to rest and change for the evening.
Mirage for early dinner at 5. Options are BLT Burger or Carnegie Deli.
See Cirque's Love show at 7:00 located in the Mirage.
After the show, walk go down to watch the Mirage volcano, then walk across to TI to see the pirate show.
Then depending on how tired everyone is, either go back to hotel or out for drinks. Kahunaville in TI has flare bartenders, OR Parasol Up/Parasol Down lounge is across at the Wynn and overlooks the Lake of Dreams.

Tuesday June 23
Breakfast in room.
Massage at Stacie's new favorite place. ;) (those not wanting to do the massage can tour the Paris hotel/go up in the Eiffel tower)
Shopping in the Forum Shops at Caesars, followed by lunch at Serendipity 3.
Walk to Bellagio to tour conservatory and see fountains
Back to hotel to change for dinner.
At night go to Tony and Tina's Wedding dinner and show @ 7:00.
Then to Peppermill's Fireside Lounge for drinks. (Maybe to Diablos too)

Wednesday June 24
Small, quick breakfast in room, or just skip breakfast since it will be an early lunch
Meet at Venetian around 10 a.m. to ride/watch the gondolas, walk through to Palazzo (they are connected)
Drive to Planet Hollywood-
-early lunch at Earl of Sandwich
-some shopping in the Miracle Mile shops
-Stripper 101 @ 4:30 (be there 30 minutes early)

Dinner to be determined depending on time and how hungry we are after the class.

Haunted Vegas Tour @ 9:00 (I think it's better to do this tonight, because even though Chippendale's is showing, who wants to rush over there all hot and sweaty, kwim?

Thursday June 25
Breakfast in room
Sleep in/Swim in the morning

Disney outlet shopping and lunch at Town Square. There is a Claim Jumper, California Pizza Kitchen, Cadillac Ranch or Tommy Bahamas restaurant.
Pictures at the Vegas sign since we'll be driving right by it. (wear black top, tiara and boa for this)

VooDoo Lounge (at the Rio) at 5:00 p.m. for drinks
Walk around the Rio, see the Show in the Sky
Dinner at Rub BBQ http://www.rubbbq.net/ (This used to be on the radio show too!!)

Chippendales @ 8:00 followed by drinks in the Flirt lounge

Friday June 26
Breakfast in room
Free day!!
Options for today:
Madame Tussauds?
Tour more hotels?
Rides on top of the Stratosphere?

Lunch at the Mad Greek

After lunch, get all prettied up for a night out!!
Head to Fremont Street to check out downtown, some of the stores, and some of the older casinos. Do some gambling, grab some yummy fried food, watch the Fremont Street Experience and then head to the OG!!
Head back to timeshare for slumber party!!

Saturday June 27
Breakfast in room.
Another free day!
Options:
Or drive out to Area 51 or Hoover Dam?
Planetarium and Observatory?
Shopping at the Showgirl store and Psychic Eye gift shop?

Lunch @ either Rio Carnaval World buffet or Planet Hollywood Spice Market buffet.

For those spending another night, meet at Harrah's for an early dinner at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. Then go to Harrah's Carnival Court to hear the live music and see the flare bartenders.

Sunday June 28
Not sure if anyone will still be here this day or if everyone is leaving some time on Saturday.
For anyone still here, we can meet for breakfast or lunch. I'll leave it open.

Or do you think it may be that the reduced cost tickets are dark on specific (traditionally busier??) days?Well, I suppose it's possible, but the lady I spoke with at the tour said it's a recent change, so I'm thinking it might be they just haven't updated their info yet.

The radio show goes by what the company tells them, so if no one from the tour has called the show to update their info, then that could be one explanation.

In any case, I went ahead and tweaked the schedule just in case, changing the tour date and the Chippendale night. I personally think it flows better now as this way we won't be rushing off to Chippendale's after working out during the Stripper class. :scared:

And I was able to add Rub BBQ which I know we all like BBQ and they used to be on the radio show at a discounted price. :thumbsup2

BUT I don't want anyone to think I'm being pushy or telling y'all what to do. I'm just trying to help and make it easier on everyone else so you can just show up and have fun.
If I've overstepped my bounds, or made changes you all hate, please tell me. Nothing is set in stone. :flower3:

I changed it, what do you think?
I thought that being at Fremont street, which is pretty laid back, and then having some fun at OG would be a nice lead into the slumber party. Whatchya think everyone?

AND with OG it's not a show or anything so you come and go as you please meaning we can set our own times so it's not too late of an evening.

Jane & Amy, if one of you have an extra air mattress or aero bed, we may need it for everyone to be able to sleep over. But other than that, we should be fine!! Just remember, no nudie sleeping!!!

And I think we should leave Friday night open so we have more time for our slumber party! And no freezing bras either!!

What??????

Well, I called about the tour and it's running every night including Fridays. That is recent though. They USED to be dark on Fridays, so perhaps some websites have not updated their info yet.

Also Chippendale's runs nightly as well. Some nights they have one show and some nights two shows, but they are never dark according to the Vegas.com and Rio/Chippendale websites. :confused3

So we are good to keep things the way they are if you like.

OR

If you prefer to do the Haunted Tour on another night so the slumber party doesn't start so late, I can still tweak the schedule. Let me know please. :)

I will go with the flow.

You should get the one that James and I shared. It was an oreo on a stick, dipped in caramel, dipped in milk chocolate, then rolled in coconut. We split it after the kids went to bed. We didn't want to share.

I am sad that I am not packing for anywhere either.

Stacie means it's cheaper going home on Saturday (although it may be cheaper coming on Saturday???) - so no shacking up  I checked out of Sea-Tac and it's only about $100-$150 cheaper, but I would have to drive 2-2.5 hours each way, so I'll just stick with YVR. More expensive, but convenient (and I'm lazy!).

I am also sad I'm not going anywhere - have I mentioned this lately??? :sad1:

My boss thinks it's a sinus infection. She says she's been thinking about it a lot. I hope I don't keep her up at night! :rotfl2: She loves to diagnose my illnesses and then makes me go to the doctor to see if she's right...she's never been right. :lmao:LOL
Well let's hope she's wrong again. Those are hard to get rid of.

Who wants to go to Ben & Jerry's while we are at Planet Hollywood? Or is the location close enough when we'll be somewhere else so we can go there? I know we'll probably be full after eating, but I LOVE Ben & Jerry's!!

Yay - Stacie is going to get the second group of tickets. Just one more needed .................... :yay:

Ok, I just sent my order in for the Haunted tour and Chippendales.

Question.....it says its per pair correct? And its BOGO....so does that mean 4 tickets right? I just want to make sure I get the right stuff in the mail.

also, how do I get the newsletter sent to me?

i know i am probably missing a whole lot but my mom passed away this week. i never got to get a tiara. please let me know if there is something i should know.

Ive very sorry for your loss Marci.

Yes, the BOGO is buy one pair, get one pair, so four tickets for each (tour and Chippendales). I think you should get the next letter because you signed up (I think there was a blurb on the bottom that you could check/uncheck to receive specials).

Thanks for getting those! I *think* Beth was getting the last set, so we should be good to go   Fun times and saving money - gotta love it!

I know we'll probably be full after eating, but I LOVE Ben & Jerry's!!I'd be up for that. Earl's is the lunch plan that day, which won't fill us up too much. We can go for ice cream after our class.

Thanks for doing that!! And yes, the price is for a pair of tickets, and you buy one pair, get one pair free.

Did you sign up on the home page to receive emails? I think that's what you need to do.

I'm going to order some now.
