Cute! :thumbsup2
You mentioning sandals bring up another point. Everyone make sure your shoes are comfy! I've said it before, but there is a lot of walking involved. Even if you taxi it everywhere, just walking from one point in the casino to another can take forever. They are huge. We don't want any blisters or sore tootsies. ;)

i've seen Mystere.. Zumanity, O and Ka. For some reason ka made me nervous.. i have a real fear of fire:scared1: Zumanity had it's moments but it just wasn't *magical*. Mystere had magical moments as did O.
I haven't seen Love, yet. But... when i say this... Please don't throw rocks at me... i'm just not really liking the beatles. i don't know why.. i've never been a big beatles fan.. i've always loved the rolling stones.:confused3
But i'd go see Love because of ya'll.
And Lucky Cheng's sounds fun.

And Lucky Cheng's sounds fun.The stage at KA was what blew me away. It almost became like one of the characters the way it moved like that. Amazing. But yeah, a fear of fire wouldn't be good there. :rotfl:
I haven't seen O yet. Ruben and his mom saw Le Reve and they liked it alright.
No rock throwing from me. I almost sold our Love tickets because I am not a Beatles fan. Not at all. At the last minute I decided to go see the show since we'd only paid 50 buck each for the tickets.
I am SO glad we did. Even though I wasn't a Beatles fan before, I loved the show, and I am a fan now. At least of the songs I heard during the performance. Hopefully you'll like it as well. :)

Serendipity is at Caesars Palace. Not inside the casino, but on hotel property near the street. Not sure what time. Depends on how long the massage runs that morning. From there we'll do some shopping at Caesars Forum shops, then eat lunch at Serendipity. :)

Beth, is the outlet for Thursday near the airport? I haven't picked my flight home yet. If there's a chance to do the shopping and get to the airport, that would be fun. I do not want anyone going out of their way, but if we happened to be near the airport it would save me having to go back to the hotel to find a shuttle.
Dawn, a Stones gal! Yea! I love both the Beatles and the Stones. Have seen the Stones several times in concert - Jagger is amazing.

Damn, I went to bed early, and almost 4 pages go by.
Funny story about Fluffy - I used to work late evening shift in a hospital and one night we were in the back staff lounge and were joking around. One of the girls had her legs on the table and was laughing so hard - she bent forward and did a little toot. I called her Fluffy for ever after that. Whenever I see Fluffy I think about that :lmao:
:rotfl2:
Little churro has a beautiful royal blue velvet sombero with sparkles and even has a serape that i blinged out.
i must have that bra gene because i can take my bra off with a wiggle or a two.
That is the funniest thing I think I have heard all day!!!
And will little Churro have his own Mexican Polka music to accompany him?
Dawn - I looked and online tickets for Love are between $108-$165 (but there can be up to 25% off tickets - our dates are not showing yet). Lucky Cheng's says "prices starting from $39.95" - but I've never been and I'm not sure what it includes. Sounds like fun though!!!
Never been to Lucky Cheng's, but it does include the dinner and show.
I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling ill. I hope you get better soon!
I want to get a few new clothes too. I don't dress up. But some black jeans and a nice top would be good. The nice thing about Vegas is at the same show, you will see some ladies in a cocktail dress and fur, and some in jeans and a tee, and it's all fine.
OF course you are! Look at all you've done!
If you don't go, you'll end up wondering what you missed, and wish you'd at least given it a shot. If you are truly uncomfortable, we don't have to stay. We can always leave. It's not a big deal. :)
I want to get to the Rio right at 5 when it opens. It's a nice way to enjoy the lounge and drinks, without the Barbie crowd that shows up later in the evening.
I don't party with Barbie crowd either.
And as far as what people wear.....you will see just about everything. Heck, even when I went last time we were all dressed so different when we went out. My brother looked like he just walked out of Tommy Bahama, Cesar had on jeans, chucks and a grey tee, Nikki wore jeans and a cute top, I wore capris and a top, and our friend Camillle work a slinky little leopard print dress with heels forever. No one of us looked like we were with any of the others.
Are we going shopping anywhere near a Coach store or outlet??? I would love to get a new purse.........
I found an amazing website that has designer knockoffs. anyknockoff.com I got a great Kate Spade "inspired" purse and I love it. I checked online and outlets for it, and it was $375 for the cheapest one. I ended up going through this site, and it cost a 1/10 of that. And it looks just like the real deal.

I am missing the purse gene. I just don't get it. I have one purse. The same one I've had for almost 3 years now and like all my purses, it came from Target. :lmao:
I'm also missing the pampered gene. I do not like the thought of getting a mani, pedi or massage.
Hmmm, come to think of it I do believe I am missing the fine dining gene as I'd much prefer a pizza and pitcher of cold soda, over everything and anything on the menu in a fancy restaurant.
I guess my husband should be really happy about all that since between those three missing genes, he just saved a ton of money! :rotfl2:

I don't have the purse gene either. I like Kate Spade purses because they are cute and functional. And they suit my personality. I refuse to pay the Kate Spade price though. The last one I had was such a deal. I had it for a long long time. Then the strap broke, so I took it to get fixed. Finally it went to purse heaven. Most of my purses I get from Target or Ross. I hate spending a lot of money on them. My favorite purse was one I got from Ross. But I had it stolen and I could never find one like it again. But this website is great. Most of the bags cost just a little more than what I pay at Target or Ross for them.
I'm also missing the pampered gene. I do not like the thought of getting a mani, pedi or massage.
I do have that gene. BUt since I have the tightwad gene as well, I don't indulge in that. I do my own mani and pedis. And I get a massage rarely.

I have the pizza gene as well. It over rides most of my other genes. I enjoy fine dining, but not as much as pizza. Thankfully I have someone who enjoys fine dining, but would just as well have pizza with me.
I guess my husband should be really happy about all that since between those three missing genes, he just saved a ton of money! :rotfl2:

I have funny feet and I have issues finding shoes that fit well, are cute, and comfortable. So I do flip-flops - to the pool flip-flops, shopping flip-flops, at Disneyland flip-flops, going out flip-flops - love it!
I do have the fine dining gene, but I also have the pizza gene! I do love to get my manicure (mostly because my nails are not very strong and I used to bite my nails until I was about 30 :scared1:) and pedicure (love the flowers they paint on - I could never do that myself!).

Yep - wide feet (from not wearing shoes :scared1:) and VERY high arches! I also have the foodie gene - but we really don't have any great local dives around here. Divey dives, yes. Great dives, no :sad2: I love that show - Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.

I get flip-flops all over the place! I bought some ones for the pool for $2.00 at Wal-Mart and I do have a couple of pairs of $80 crystal-studded ones (love them!!). I also have a $20 very small crystal flower studded pair that I wear all the time in the summer when I go out (daytime). I have way too many pairs of flip-flops!
My feet used to be a size 7 before I was pregnant, now they are a size 9 :scared1: No one warned me they would GROW!!! Plus, because I spend so much time bare foot at home, they have widened (that's just not fair!!!). So while I may like cute shoes, unfortunately, they do not like me :sad1: So I get purses instead :woohoo:

I love shoes, purses, make-up, dresses and skirts. I'm such a girly girl in that way. Kate Spade and Coach are my two favorites for purses. Sephora and Ulta are my two homes, as well as the make-up counter at Nordstrom's. I LOVE heels. I love anything that sparkles (like Edward Cullen, lol). I also love flip-flops, pizza w/beer and fast food. I also like to go to fancy places (as long as I'm not paying :rotfl:). I really love most everything.
Once upon a time, I despised heels, clothes shopping, any kind of shopping really, and beer. Then one day everything changed and I turned into a princess! princess: :rotfl2:

$80 flip flops! OK, you have to bring those. I want to see what they look like. ;)
I have a couple pair that are brand new that I can't wear. I was going to pass them along to you, but they are size 10. Yep, my feet are actually larger then yours. :sad2:
I spend most of my time barefoot. If I could go barefoot while out running errands, I would.
These arms don't do sleeveless . . . .
Nor do mine. And my legs do not do shorts. :scared:
I love shoes, purses, make-up, dresses and skirts. I'm such a girly girl in that way.Of all those, the only one I agree on is the make-up. I love experimenting with make-up. But I get the cheapo stuff like Revlon. :rotfl:
I am learning to like heels. All of my friends wear them when we go out, I do sometimes. I think having two boys & running from soccer field to baseball field, its much easier to run in Nikes.
I used to wear heels all the time. I don't know how I did it. Now wearing heels feels like a punishment.

I will definitely be bringing at least one pair of my $80 flip-flops (they are my evening wear :thumbsup2 - very sparkly!) I'm also a barefoot girl at home (which is why my darn feet are so funky now!!!)
I found out about a mineral makeup called EveryDay Minerals. You can get five free samples (travel size - quite generous) and all you pay is the shipping. I thought I'd give it a try because I have sensitive skin and wanted something for my redness (:sad1:). I got them and I love it! It is very light and the green (I thought it would make me look like Kermit) really works. I'm very happy and now I'm going to order the full size!!!

That's where i had it for the first time.:goodvibes
So this morning i was looking at this $40,000 Louis Vuitton purse that Beyonce bought..it's a collection of purses in one purse.. like a quilt of purses. And i thought.. why do i want a purse like everybody else..i'm just going to design a one of a kind purse like that 40,000 purse but with purses i like in the style i like and take it to a local leather shop to have it sewn. It will be recycling the purses i already have..and producing an original product. i have a classic dooney and bourke that i want to use as my base and mix in some leather coaches creating a mix of the two with canvas and leather. I've been sketching it out. I have the purses laid out in my art room and am playing with the mix  i need a drawstring for one of the sides.

Theresa, I use EM too, and really like them. So does Callie (DangerMouse). I used Bare Minerals for awhile but they made my face itchy.
Love the churro!! So cute!! And the dresses? Cute too, but I don't do dresses, at least not very often. No heels. I'm the barefoot one around here, or slippers.

No, napping is good. Your body needs rest.
What items do you use when you do your own pedis? I bought that ped egg or whatever it's called and like that pretty well. Anything you'd recommend?
I try to remember to lotion up my feet after every shower. I just clip my nails with regular clippers and file. Nothing special. I use a sally hansen color and that's it. I may get a Mickey Head on there for the trip though.
Where do you find your flip flops at? Do you get the fun, cheapo ones at Target and Kohls? Or do you get those flip flops (can't remember the name now) that are like $70 for one pair??
And what size do you wear?
I always get the cheap Target ones. Those ones are like my everyday type of flip flop. You can get those and sparkle them up with stuff if needed.
No, no. That's Wendy you're thinking of.
:rotfl2:
OK, just to let y'all know, there are now links to all of our activities, meals, shows, etc on the front page. They are all in post #8. So if anyone wants to go over a menu or read about a show or whatever, it should be listed there.
If you find something missing, please let me know. I just thought it would help with some of the planning to have the links handy. :)
:cool1:
I can't wait to see a pic!
Well, I could probably be called Fluffy for similar reasons . . . . .
Agreed!
These arms don't do sleeveless . . . .
Bat wings?
SHHH!! Don't tell anyone, I've got them all fooled!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Nahhhhhh.....a man wouldn't care if his hair got wet.
Me too!!!
Nor do mine. And my legs do not do shorts. :scared:
While we are at it.....I don't do skinny jeans and low rise...its not pretty.
Of all those, the only one I agree on is the make-up. I love experimenting with make-up. But I get the cheapo stuff like Revlon. :rotfl:
I used to wear heels all the time. I don't know how I did it. Now wearing heels feels like a punishment.
I have a great pair that never hurts my feet. But they don't go with much.
Flip-flops rule!! I saw a t-shirt today that you would love from Torrid. It says I heart Boys Who Sparkle :lovestruc
Beth, BTW, you can sign me up with the pervs at OG. I'm going to go (I have to do it at least once, right???) Besides, I really want Stacie to eat fried pickles
Thanks! I've never heard of that. I'll have to Google it.
Yes! Get it! It sounds totally cute.
I shop at big old lady shops like Lane Bryant and Avenue. Sometimes at JCPenney, Target and Kohls too.
:rotfl:

They really do. I wish I could afford to spend that much on clothes. Sometimes I'll spoil myself, but that very rarely happens. I have trouble spending any more then $15 on a pair of jeans.
I only buy when they are on sale. I love the light weight ones from Avenue.
YAY!!! I'm adding you now. No backing out. And Theresa and Stacielee are doing the 101 class and you said you'd do it if they do, so guess you're doing that to! :dance3:
15 bucks? I wish I could find jeans for that. The only jeans I found that fit me right, are from Lane Bryant and they run around $40. Okay for one pair but who needs just one pair of jeans.
Why are my kids telling me they are hungry? Am I supposed to do something about it? :confused3
They are on spring break. Let them find their own dinner or just eat ice cream. :confused3
Churro is such a ladies man!

Beth... you should look back at the picture of you that you posted the other night with your hair cut short and remember that part of you ..because i don't think you see you as everyone else see's you.. inside is that girl.. what would she want you to wear???? think about that one!
maybe each day do one thing for that girl.. whether it's a eyeshadow or a lipstick or a shirt or whatever.

She'd want to wear a ton of Aqua Net and a tee that says "Frankie Says Relax!" :rotfl: ;)
Actually if I could dress in any style I wanted, it would be very natural. Flip flops or sandals. And long flowing skirts with tunics. Something like this: http://www.lanebryant.com/pagebuilder/outfit?cid=0000008231&my_nav=whats_hot&cat=outfits&subcat=new%20spring%20trends
But since I am at home most of the time my closet is mainly jeans and plain tees. lol

I got to agree with Dawn. Beth, you are way to hard on yourself. Come to think of it, most of you ladies are. Geez! You guys all sound like you have lower self esteem. Damn. I am short, chubby, wear glasses, and have scars, but I like to think of myself as America's Next Top Model.

Been watching dancing - I love seeing Lil Kim and Shawn - both gals are not stick thin but manage to look stunning and graceful.
Hey guys....I want to join in for "Love", "Tony & Tina's", ok basically all of the sign ups except for the massage. I still need to work out my calendar, but it looks like most things are in the evening so I can just leave work early. I'm thinking I will take Thursday off so I can join in the shopping too!!
Can't wait!!
:dance3::yay: Oh boy, Amy's gonna take off work to be with us!!!!
I think I need to invest in some SPANX.
I lurve my spanx.
I'm back............... Jesse had a ball hockey game - an hour away from home - boo! We lost 4-0 - boo! Had Taco Bell for dinner - yay :thumbsup2
Bummer! We may have to beg and plead with Cheryl to get the Rosa Regale (I think she said she got it from Costco). Cheryl, you can laugh at me at OG if you pick me up some Rosa Regale :thumbsup2
Yes - I wish someone had warned me before I had a baby. I had a reduction done before getting pregnant and then after having the baby, bye-bye ****ies :sad1:
I was looking at the first two dresses today - very cute! I'm deciding whether I'm brave enough to wear a dress or not (I do have pastey white legs - not for public viewing!!)
Spanx = :thumbsup2 Some of them are a little bizarre looking (and no way am I going to try and pee with them still up - don't care if there is a hole there )
Yeah, I always pull 'em down.
Not only do the Jergens and other natural tanning lotions work, but you can also buy this stuff at target that is great for spraying on at the last minute. It doesn't tan you, just makes you look good. Sally Hanson - you want a light one as it is darker than you'd think. Maybe $6-7
I've done the tanning salon once and hated it - you breathe in that stuff. It's better to have it hand sprayed on if you can find a place - or as Wendy says, do it yourself.
BTW - I've read that you lose weight there first. :sad2:
NO, the tummy first. In fact, the girls are the last to go.

I'm so HaPpPy, tonight my DH and i are going to stuff alll the easter eggs for the grandchildren to find this sunday. We always have a big family dinner at our home. We usually do ham but this year i'm hearing rumblings about Grilling outdoors.. so i guess we will decide tonight.
Hey miss Donna.. i'm sorry i missed you..when i go to bed at 10:40 it's only 9:40 for you.. i'm in mountain time zone.:upsidedow
Did ya'll see where they found that poor babygirl Sandra Cantu dead in california. Well i've been watching that case..praying for her to be found alive..and this morning when i saw the news..i just *cried*. I'll never forget that clip they played of her so happy just slipping along like little girls do..it's so wrong that some vile person stole that light from her family. we see this same thing replayed over and over in the media.. it never gets easier..and thank god it doesn't. for we should mourn for each lost child as if she were our own..because..truly, aren't we all one.
hhhmmmm... didn't mean to start the day heavy.. it's just.. my heart hurt. Maybe if you could just send a prayer today to the Cantu family, even if they never know you did it, it might comfort them in some small way during this bad bad time.

That sounds really nice! Maybe we'll take a cue from you and hit the movies. The girls want to see that Alien and Monsters movie (or whatever it's called), and Adam and Ruben want to see Fast and the Furious. We can do the egg hunt, then go out to eat, then do the movies.

Just get him an XBox game and some of those seashell chocolates (not sure where he got those from before, but it wasn't me!!!) and he's good to go!!! Although money would also be gladly accepted
I normally make turkey dinner for Easter (here it's turkey for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter), but not this year. I just don't feel like it. We do have a ham though, so I'll do that. I just started loving hard boil eggs. If I were at your house, I'd eat them for you.

No eating hard boil eggs the week of Vegas. I don't want that timeshare smelling funky.

Ummmm, lucky guess :confused3 :rolleyes1
I want barbecue too! We don't even own a barbecue right now - but we definitely need one before summer. The problem is I stink at barbecuing and Frank is no better (he burns everything :sad2:). There is only one really good BBQ restaurant anywhere near here too and it's quite far away - my son's fave restaurant though. It's called Memphis Blues and it is sooooo yummy!
It takes lots a practice. Start easy, watch Bobby Flay. He is soooo COOL!!
Jesse won't color eggs any more, he's too cool like that :cool2: Just give him the goods and let him play XBox, thank you very much :snooty:
Jordan is too cool to dye eggs also. Kaeleb is still young enough to have fun with.
I'm the same way! :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:
Do what ever is going to make you happy, not what is expected. If you don't feel up to making turkey or having tons of people over then don't. Go out to eat, or just order pizza.
I agree with Stacie that sometimes doing something untraditional for the holidays can be fun. It's being with family that counts, not really what y'all do. :)
I like untraditional. Its a lot of fun. Mix it up a bit.
On the other hand, maybe if I say it wrong loud enough, he'll hear me and come over to set me straight in person. :yay: ;)
hmm...maybe I would say The, then?? He can set me straight any day.

Only Kaeleb will eat them.
When Jordan was younger he was scared of egg salad sandwhiches. :confused3 I dunno why? He just was, we had a lot of fun with that once...:rolleyes1

Nope, sorry. I can't control my natural gas. Just don't forget the air freshener, I know you're good at bringing a can. :thumbsup2

Aren't kids funny??? Jesse used to be afraid of Jello and marshmallows! He would get so freaked out by them - not sure why, but it was a bit funny.

Blow out the eggs. Poke small holes at both ends and blow the egg out into a bowl. The rinse them out good and color the shells. Then you can make scrambled eggs or use the eggs in something else.

Probably a good idea!

And no broccoli, refried beans, baked beans, cabbage... what else?

Good idea. Use the eggs to make me cupcakes or brownies.

I think his was a texture thing. He would be all happy and then if he had a bit of Jello or marshmallow, he would just freak out. Poor guy - I still tease him about it now though. He could eat a lemon like it was an orange, but Jello?? :confused3

No chili and beer :upsidedow
