I was wondering how long it would take for them to be taken. The closest hotels to the timeshare are the Imperial Palace, Harrah's, The Flamingo, and possible The Westin. Hopefully one of those has the cheap rates that people had found at other hotels in Vegas. I'll keep checking, but I'm not hopeful that one will come up again.

Cheryl's staying in the timeshare too. The only reason she wouldn't is if they cannot be guaranteed a first floor room. (No elevators and she cannot do stairs) But as of now, she's in the timeshare.

There is a new place opening near Ceasars called Serendipity 3. They have one in New York and it's supposed to be really good. They sell a $1,000 ice cream sundae. :eek:
But if that's out of your price range, they offer some other goodies including some Frozen Hot Chocolate that Oprah raves about. :goodvibes
We are all going there for lunch and dessert after shopping at the Forum shops. :cool1:

Just got an email from New York, New York. They have rooms during the trip for $52 a night Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs. And for $89 a night on Fri and Sat. https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=010&host=promo&code=brgtst10

I've never stayed there but that's not a bad price. Comparable to the MGM offer but even cheaper on the Fri and Sat nights.

Just a head's up. I made some changes to the schedule on Thur, Fri and Sat once I realized that Lucky Chengs is a dinner show. I originally had it listed on Saturday night, but that won't work since some of you are leaving that night and wanted to see the show.
So here's the updated version (also found on the front page). I think we've got it all in there now to where it all works! :cool1::banana:



SCHEDULE

Sunday, June 21
Arrival day for some of the ladies.
Check into the hotel and get settled.
I can meet you at hotel to drop off groceries, or we can make a store run.
Drive the Strip.
Dinner at Margaritaville, and then either hang out on the Strip or head back to hotel depending on how tired everyone is.


Monday June 22
(more ladies arrive today)
Breakfast in hotel room to save money.
At 11:00 meet up to tour some of the hotels: (none of them take very long)
Start at Luxor, then walk or take tram to Excalibur
From there walk to New York, New York
Lunch at Il Fornaio in NY NY.
Walk around MGM/Lion Habitat
Then walk to M&M World and the Coke store.

Back to hotel to rest and change for the evening.
Mirage for early dinner around 5. Options are BLT Burger or Carnegie Deli.
See Cirque's Love show at 7:00 located in the Mirage.
After the show, walk go down to watch the Mirage volcano, then walk across to TI to see the pirate show.
Then depending on how tired everyone is, either go back to hotel or out for drinks. Kahunaville in TI has flare bartenders, OR Parasol Up/Parasol Down lounge is across at the Wynn and overlooks the Lake of Dreams.



Tuesday June 23
Breakfast in room.
Massage at Stacie's new favorite place. ;) (those not wanting to do the massage can tour the Paris hotel and maybe go up in the Eiffel tower)
Shopping in the Forum Shops at Caesars, followed by lunch at Serendipity 3.
Walk to Bellagio to tour conservatory and see fountains
Back to hotel to change for dinner.
At night go to Tony and Tina's Wedding dinner and show @ 7:00.
Then to Diablos for drinks.




Wednesday June 24
Small, quick breakfast in room, or just skip breakfast since it will be an early lunch
Meet at Venetian around 10 a.m. to ride/watch the gondolas, walk through to Palazzo (they are connected)
Drive to Planet Hollywood-
-early lunch at Earl of Sandwich
-some shopping in the Miracle Mile shops
-Stripper 101 @ 4:30 (be there 30 minutes early)

Dinner (or just drinks and appetizers) at Dick's Last Resort around 6:30
Thunder From Down Under @ 9:00




Thursday June 25
Breakfast in room
Swimming in the morning?
Disney outlet shopping and lunch at Town Square? There is a Claim Jumper, California Pizza Kitchen or Tommy Bahamas restaurant. Pictures at the Vegas sign since we'll be driving right by it.

VooDoo Lounge (at the Rio) at 5:00 p.m. for drinks
Walk around the Rio, see the Show in the Sky
Head to Fremont Street and then off to Olympic Garden! :banana:




Friday June 26
Breakfast in room
Free day!!
Gamble? Tour more hotels? Planetarium and Observatory? Shopping at the Showgirl store and Psychic Eye gift shop? Ride Insanity on top of the Stratosphere???

Dinner at Lucky Cheng's Drag Cabaret. (served from 5-7 p.m.)
Head back to timeshare for slumber party!!





Saturday June 27
Breakfast in room.
Another free day.
Perhaps do some favorite things again? Or drive out to Area 51?

For those spending another night, meet at Harrah's for an early dinner at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. Then go to Harrah's Carnival Court to hear the live music and see the flare bartenders.

Cheryl's staying in the timeshare too. The only reason she wouldn't is if they cannot be guaranteed a first floor room. (No elevators and she cannot do stairs) But as of now, she's in the timeshare.

There is a new place opening near Ceasars called Serendipity 3. They have one in New York and it's supposed to be really good. They sell a $1,000 ice cream sundae. :eek:
But if that's out of your price range, they offer some other goodies including some Frozen Hot Chocolate that Oprah raves about. :goodvibes
We are all going there for lunch and dessert after shopping at the Forum shops. :cool1:

The place that I got an amazing massage was Imperial Day Spa ispalv.com

One of the girls who work for me is a licensed massage therapist so I had her look over the stuff, and she thought it was agreat deal. $90 for a full hour massage. The locker rooms are odd.....lots of nakieness. But other than that the place is great. Its a traditional Korean spa though, so just keep that in mind. I loved it and plan to go back.

I was at Kohls yesterday picking up some things, and found a pair of black heels on sale for $23! They are cute and not too high like some of the other I have, lol. And they have an ankle strap so I can actually move around easily in these. ;) So I'm going to bring those for the Stripper 101 class. :cool1:

There aren't really any sign ups yet. Most of the things on the schedule don't require reservations. The restaurants, clubs, bars and such don't require them, so whoever wants to go can just show up.

The only thing we really need counts for are the shows. Tony and Tina's, Thunder, Love, Lucky Chengs, and the 101 class.
I personally am planning on doing everything on the schedule except for the massage on Monday, and the events on Saturday (it's my anniversary that day so I won't be around). I can't wait to do everything else though!! :yay:

About leaving the country, you guys are very courageous, going on trips with strangers, etc., you could do it. We skip the cities and head straight out to the bush and that is very safe. I've been twice now, to Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Tanzania, & Namibia.

You can get your feet wet by prebooking a sprecial truck for a safari at the SD wild animal park. You get to feed some of the animals. It's on their website. I met a woman there who said her mother went to Africa - and I thought wow, if some woman in her 70s could do that, I could do that.

I will have my photos on my phone if anyone wants to see at some down time in Vegas.

Ah, I understand your concern if you haven't travelled outside the US, or have only been to Mexico, where a lot of people do get sick. In the lodges in Africa, they have a great variety to please all tastes. It's too good. In Europe, the food is fresher and has less chemmies than ours and I'll bet they have an overall cancer rate that's better.

You can get sick in the US as well. I got food poisoning at a Jack in the Box and at a popular restaurant in Riverside.

No No No......the co-ed areas are upstairs and everyone is expected to wear the clothes they give you. T-shirts and shorts. THere is no co ed nakieness. Just in the locker areas. There is a salt room sauna, a steam sauna and another sauna on the ladies side, along with jacuzzies (hot, med and cold) and regular showers, and Korean style showers as well. Those are all for women only. The men have their own side for all that stuff. Upstairs is co-ed. The jade room, clay room, clay ball rooms and such you keep your clothes on and lay in there. The movie theater, lounge areas, tv areas, food and smoothie bar are also co ed (no nakie). So you wont be seeing nakie men. Just nakie women.

I am probably in for most of the shows and the other activities including the massage--Stacerita--did they have different sized clothes at this spa? One issue I've encountered is that a lot of times they don't accommodate the fuller-sized (aka fat) figure!

I do understand your fears. But the reason you hear the horror stories is because they sell newspapers and make people watch the tv news. Honestly, I felt safer in the African bush than I do in most of LA.

And - some people in Japan and Germany etc. think that the US is very dangerous because they've had tourists come here and get carjacked or killed.

The thing is, you just travel smart. And for you, an organized group tour would probably make you feel more comfortable. Just saying, if you ever decided to go for it....

Ok, so I guess I'd better check out the first page to see what activities are planned. Not sure about the Stripper 101 class --not that it wouldn't be fun--but #1 my arthritis issues and #2 it would remind me that I'm not in a relationship right now to use the stripper skills to best advantage--LOL!!! besides, as stacielee and I said before--we need gamblin' time!

I am probably in for most of the shows and the other activities including the massage--Stacerita--did they have different sized clothes at this spa? One issue I've encountered is that a lot of times they don't accommodate the fuller-sized (aka fat) figure!

I know certain things, so am not asking you to teach me poker or blackjack. Jut show me where that machine is where you put in a quarter and win a million.

I'll try and help find the BEST slot machines. Actually, when my DH and I went on a cruise last November for our 20th anniversary, I played in a slot tournament. I ended up around 6th out of about 50 people. I bought in once, and got bumped out of the top 9 required in the next to the last round so I bought in again and got in the top 9. Then they played the final round and we got to pick which machine we wanted in the order that we came in the top 9. There were 2 machines that I wanted one or the other, but by the time I got to pick, they were gone. Of course, those were the 2 that paid 1st and 2nd place!!

I would wear them. We are going early enough to the Rio (before all the trendy people get there) so you should be fine. A lot of times when I have had to deal with no flip flop dress code I was able to get by.

The key word there is SUMMER. It's gonna be scorchin'. I have to drag out my summer stuff and see what's cool enough. And then I bet they a/c the heck out of the hotels and restaurants so you have to always be prepared to cover up... (am I right experts?)

We are still doing Dick's Last Resort and the Voodoo lounge. They should both be on the schedule. Dicks Last Resort is when we are doing Thunder I believe, and Voodoo is at the Rio.

The instructor (former stripper) was very helpful and very talented but most of the time was spent taking pictures. I do have a new found respect for strippers since it was so hard to swing on the pole. I left there with a giant bruise on my inner thigh! We did have fun but I was expecting much more.

3/30/2009 ok while i think the class is fun, and pretty cool to try out, it is NOT worth $45. i mean, $45 is a LOOTTTT of money. yes, the stripper is really talented. and i can do fun spins on a pole now. but damn, $45? however, the $45 gets you one drink on the house and mine was decently strong, so i guess that' s okay.

ultimately, it's a pretty intense money making scheme. pictures before that you're strongly encouraged to buy. the stripper asks for tips even though she is getting paid for this AND probably paid quite a decent amount AND you just paid $45. and there are easily like 50 girls in there, so it's crowded and you have to take turns using the poles. that's a huge bummer.

but, i did have fun, i learned some new tricks and two days later, my biceps are STILL sore. good times.

12/6/2008 I went with a group of girls and we had soo much fun. We got the ruby package jsuk.
WIth that we got to learn how to lap dance. How to strip without looking like a dork(we've all been there) And how seduce our men with a few looks.
THEN the difficult part. well for me. I couldn't swing around the damn pole. Luckily the thing lights up and it's rather cozy and small inside. And it goes tos how the one girl who did cheerleading was the best at it. She even got to learn and upside down move. And my friend who is obsese even finessed the pole. I got it eventually. The instructor was super super nice and fit.
I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE!
Also! with the package we got t-shirts and photos. With feather boas. and a card that has our stripper name on it lol. Don't ask. I couldn't think of one. :) oh and it came with a complentary drink at the bar. You know to help relax the nerves! I could have used 4 of em. But eh. It was free.

7/21/2008 Okay, so i'm not a big fan of strip tease or strippers or anything that deal w/ stripping. Since we were in vegas and it's my firends first time out there, she wanted to do something fun and exciting. I would do if ONLY if it was a private stripper showing us. So here is my experience.....

There are 6 girls and we join the class. We got the pearl package, came w/ t-shirt, photo, free drink, & a certified stripp (hahaha). If you guys look at the website, it looks like we get our own private room. It's not like the pictures on the website. It's a joke. I hated it. We were in a room w/ about 20 other girls. I had a little bit of fun but that was not the case. I thought we get our own private room and just us girls because we were going to act really goofy.

The class instructor which was a former stripper taught us really fast. She was just showing off her moves but didn't really teach us enough. We liked how she taught the class and gave us some moves but i would expect more.

So just to let you guys know. It was OKAY. I'm still upset w/ not having our own privacy. The website is really misleading. Make sure you guys call in for more info."

and i've offered to go see ... Mystere.... with Donna and Theresa if they wanted to... anybody else wants to go if we go come on... it's a wonderful show with truly beautiful music.. i always end up buying the cd afterwards. i think i've seen mystere 5 or 6 times. If noone wants to see it it's kewl.. but i just thought i'd offer.

Mystere is good!! I saw it last August!! Although the clown thing freaks me out. But it is still very good!

Funny story about Fluffy - I used to work late evening shift in a hospital and one night we were in the back staff lounge and were joking around. Dawn - I looked and online tickets for Love are between $108-$165 (but there can be up to 25% off tickets - our dates are not showing yet). Lucky Cheng's says "prices starting from $39.95" - but I've never been and I'm not sure what it includes. Sounds like fun though!!!

The week before we go to vegas.. i will be taking my mother, our oldest granddaughter and my only siblings only child to disneyland for the week. We get home then one day later i go to vegas.

I would wear them. We are going early enough to the Rio (before all the trendy people get there) so you should be fine. A lot of times when I have had to deal with no flip flop dress code I was able to get by.I want to get to the Rio right at 5 when it opens. Dick's is on there still, so is VooDoo lounge. I'm only asking people to sign up for things that we need a head count for. The other places don't require reservations so we can just show up.

OG is a strip club, Thunder is a production show.
And the slumber party is Friday night after dinner at the timeshare. Just some silly fun.

Oh, and Lucky Chengs is a dinner show with drag queens. lol

Lucky Chengs starts at $40 but it depends on what you order, according to their website.

Who has seen this?Yes, like Chippendales. They do pull women up on stage but it's volunteers or bachelorettes. No one will force you to go up there.

I've seen Mystere. It's good, but out of Zumanity, KA, Love and Mystere, for some reason, I liked Mystere the least.

KA was my favorite, followed very closely by Love.
