I did some heavy duty scrubbing, and I think I caught it early enough. It looks almost back to normal now. LOL But I've got to be careful not to do that again.

I'm here! We got back from lunch, after picking Christine up from the airport. And I only cried a little bit, but lots of hugging!! Of course, she saved the best hug for the BF! Now we're all just relaxing, and I'm pretty sure we're going to have to do laundry soon. She left about half of her clothes there, she gave them to some of the locals she met there, and she needed that much space to bring home the stuff she bought!! I'm so glad she's home, it was hard having absolutely no control over what she was doing (I'm kind of a control freak, in case no one figured that out).



Not Bob, Jim Bob. Bob is my DH name, so he's not our night-time entertainment either, at lease not for any of you!! :rolleyes1

Dawn - one of my fav bbq sides is at a local restaurant here. They do coleslaw but they add blue cheese chunks and pecans (not sure if they are candied, they might be). It is soooo good.

I make my coleslaw with dried cranberries and walnuts.

Uhhh, you might want to rethink that. Even in the evenings, at the end of June, the night temp can still be close to 100. Your cheese will be melted and your wine warm. :rotfl:

I was thinking of making some white chocolate covered dulce leche oreos.
I have a box of the dulce leche oreos { chocolate cookie wafes with a caramely creme center instead of the white stuff}.

I have to go to target this weekend and find a cupcake carryor {:rotfl: that looks really misspelled!:rotfl2:}

Ooohh wowowowow.. those bacon wrapped dates sound so delicious..and if you stuff a tiny bit of blue cheese in them..then wrap them in the bacon..and drizzle with a nice balsalmic reduction... ooooOOoohh la la!

Figs also make a great treat treat on a cheese platter. I love cheese trays..sometimes we add some deli meats and make a meal out of wine and cheese with nuts and fruits.

Based on the week I've had, I think I probably should be up for membership in the club too. I ended up taking a half day off yesterday when Ty got "supsended" for biting at school. Then today I didn't roll into work until 9:30, then took an 90 minute lunch and I will probably leave in about a half hour. The university is definitely not getting their moneys worth from me the last two days, but they WILL make it up in the fall when I'm here all hours of the night and over weekends too.

No, there wasn't any room in the time share when i asked.
Ceasars Palace is going to give me 5 free nights, so i'm staying there.
I'm so looking forward to it. I love staying in hotels. Best thing is curling up with lots of pillows and watching all the movies i've missed seeing.
I still haven't seen twillight..i fell asleep in it because i was so tired after mouse adventure.

my dad and i talked about our family trip to disneyland at christmas.. he said he wanted to go on toads wild ride because he remembers my son being a little boy and coming home from WDW and talking non stop about how wild it was.:rotfl2:

That's why I was going to get one and use it to apply towards the whole check. For example with Rub BBQ I was going to get one for $15 that is a $25 value. I figure if I spend the $15 out of pocket now, that's about what it would cost me to eat there anyway (cheaper for me since I am a non-drinker and don't eat much meat, lol) but by getting the certificate and applying it towards the group bill we'll actually be getting a $25 savings that will benefit everyone.

If you are brave, you can try packing it in your check in luggage. I've heard of people doing this with success but be sure to double/triple bag it in case of disaster. Wine stores sometimes give or sell that styroform that protects the wine.

I'm going to make a khalua and creme cheese frosting them mix it with dark chocolate cake..and dunk the cake balls in white chocolate.. it will make kinda coffee balls.. Could be yummilicious.

i was thinking of maybe a mailibu rum with a buttercreme frosting and pineapple cake?

I was able to get our tickets free at the Miracle Mile shops. We did watch a tv show and rate it, but we got free tickets. We can also look into something like that. Just go with the flow and see what happens. $10 is a great price.
