It's interesting, Beth. She worked for us for 11 years and was my husbands right hand person. Then she got a job offer to run a company in new mexico which was starting from the ground up. So she took it as that had always been her dream.
When she left, i told her.. you don't know these people.. what if doesn't work..they could fire you. And sure enough..they used her to set up everything and establish themselves as a "local" company through her contacts. Then they laid her off and hired someone for a lot less money.

I'm just happy we could hire her back, cuz this economy is really not good in the real estate industry. And she is very knowledgeable in her field with so many contacts.

I can't wait to play slots! I love to play them. I know CheryL does too.. does anyone else?Wow, that sucks. I can't believe they used her like that. Well, I guess I can. There are some really crappy people out there, but still. I'm glad you guys were able to bring her back on board.

I play the slots now and then, but honestly I always lose! :sad2:

I'd really prefer to skip OG--I'd rather gamble! Chippendales is enough for moi!Well, we shall miss you.

I've never been and really want to go.
Works for me! I was excited to go. I've never been either. :yay:

WHAT????

You should do it once. Its a treat. An expensive one, but a treat none the less. If you go on a cruise, you can do it all the time. Its included in the price, just need to tip. Worth it in my opinion.
Hmmmm, guess I need to book a cruise. ;)
Yep, never had room service, never had a pedicure, never had a massage, never owned a Coach bag. I lead a deprived life. :lmao:

I took myself off the Stripper 101 list as I really can't go--I have to pick up Ty at 4 pm that day.

I am also a question mark on OG. I don't really want to go, but I have a feeling I might end up caving to peer pressure if everyone else is going. So, Cheryl, it's up to you to save me!!!

She's kept an online blog so I've kept up with what she's been doing (gingersabroad.blogspot.com if anyone is interested) and we've been using yahoo messenger a couple of times a week, but that's kind of hit or miss since she's 10 hours ahead of us. She told me she probably wouldn't be back online the last time I talked to her.

No--I didn't get it--I had to do it manually (i.e., delete black and type in red) What a pain. Since they've done the update there are weird things afoot.

I usually play blackjack or slots. Sometimes roulette--I have played 3-card poker and that can either be good or your money can disappear in an instant! I've never played baccarat--maybe we can find a cheap table and you can show me how to play? (Ok, no comments about the "cheap table.")

Did you read her blog about white water rafting on the Nile? I was really scared for her!!

Oh yeah, I forgot about roulette. My aunt taught me how to play that when I was about 3 years old!! The thing about baccarat is that there is absolutely no skill involved, it's all luck; I guess it's the same with roulette though. At least with blackjack, I feel like I have a little bit of control over the game. Very little!!

Yes, we are supposed to have a washer and dryer in the timeshare.

How exciting!!! I can't believe you're doing to DL again though - and I'm still here, nowhere near Disneyland............... and it's cold here too (67 degrees right now).

That's why we have annual passes. Gotta get my money's worth out of them!!!

Aww thanks guys!
I should be ok. I am just getting my knee scoped. Within 3 days she wants me up and moving around. If I stay in bed too long it won't heal as fast, and the therapy will take longer.
I will just take it easy, I won't be a power walker like in Disney.

I am wearing white capris & this blue & white tank top dressy shirt/a cover to Love. Other than that I haven't given it much thought.Well, I'll be the non-power walker with you. Seriously, when it's 105 degrees out, I ain't power walking anywhere for anything.

That outfit for Love sounds way cute! Nice, but fun and summery too. :thumbsup2

Hey Miss Beth you always look cute! i'm taking jeans and some tanks with a black shrug. A couple of summer sun dresses and sandals.

I was thinking just nice black jeans and a cute top for the evening. Do you think bling flip-flops (I am totally serious here!) are okay or are there any places we are going where they would not cut it?? Yeah, should be fine, especially if they are nice ones.

Maybe, Maybe heels for stripper 101, depending on my knee.I was gonna say, don't forget the heels, and some comfy pants to move around in.

Sunday June 28
Not sure if anyone will still be here this day or if everyone is leaving some time on Saturday.
For anyone still here, we can meet for breakfast or brunch. I'll leave it open.

So sad to go home.

Yeahhhhh we can do some penny slots.. they have ALL kinds now.
Have have drinks while we play.

I do penny slots when I play Dawn. I'm a cheap ******* when it comes to gambling.

Hmmmm, guess I need to book a cruise. ;)
Yep, never had room service, never had a pedicure, never had a massage, never owned a Coach bag. I lead a deprived life. :lmao:

Coach bags are over rated. And not having a pedi just means you probably don't have a fungus either. And having your kids bring you food is almost as good as room service....if they do the dishes too.

Wendy and I were talking... What is going to be Your Vegas Drink?
Do You have something special You like to drink?
Do you drink different things at different times of the day?
What kind of shots do you like?

I try not to mix my liquor because i don't EVAH wanna be the HuRLeR girL ever again in my Life. Once :sick:i had a hangover and NeVaH EvAh AgaiN!
:lmao:

I tend to stick to cranberry and Malibu. Its a health drink really.

The big drink in the souveneir glass at Kahuanaville that smokes works for me.

My drink of choice is usually malibu. But, I'm also all about trying new things. Shots, tequila, jager bombs, tawaka bombs, or any others :lmao:

Good choice!

You and Stacerita will get along JUST fine.

Hey ladies--what's the deal with not being able to "color" text? Is there a secret trick now that I'm missing?

I'm trying to revise my siggie and it won't let me color the text.

Love the new siggie~!

Jaegarmeister! Ohmygosh..that tastes like vicks 44 cough syrup!
What's a twaka bomb?

I love orange vodka with an energy drink late at night so i can stay up later and play!:thumbsup2

Blueberry kawzies are yummY!

Jaegarmeister is nasty. I once did a shot of it, and as soon as it hit bottom, it bounced right back up onto the bar. Not pretty.

You got to go Jane. How else are we gonna get Amy on stage there with out your help?

Now when did ya'll have down to go get your group Disney tattoo?:rolleyes1

Dawn Saturday

Im planning on leaving on Sunday. Maybe Saturday if I am wiped out.

We have a washing machine in the time share right?

Was wondering the same thing.

Yes, we are supposed to have a washer and dryer in the timeshare.

Good. I don't want to over pack, and there are some jeans and tees I might want to wear twice, and I hate the smell of smokey clothes.

ooohhh CheryL... please go home saturday..so we can have friday afternoon and friday night!:worship:

Stay friday night Cheryl. You don't want to miss out on the slumber party. You might miss some important gossip.

It's getting hot here ladies. Wednesday we'll have a high of 97 with a "Real Feel" of 100 degrees. :scared:

Plan to pack those shorts and bikinis. ;)

Yeah, I may pack them, but lord knows I probably won't wear them.

Speaking of clothes, have ya'll given any thought to what you are going to wear? Especially at night for the show and stuff?

I know we talked about clothing once, but wasn't sure if anyone had actually started thinking about it. I have nothing. I mean, I have clothes I just bought, but it's all really casual; tees and such. I don't have anything fun for going out at night.

I will probably wear dresses out, our nice jeans and dressy tops. Jeans, and tshirts and casual during the days.

I was thinking just nice black jeans and a cute top for the evening. Do you think bling flip-flops (I am totally serious here!) are okay or are there any places we are going where they would not cut it?? I know know for the tour, but it's my running shoes for there (in case I get too scared and need to make a break for it ). I saw Stacie had flip-flops on a Chippendales

Stacie (me) wears flip flops almost everywhere. Bling flip flops are fine. Heck, you can were them where ever you want to be honest. Even my "dressier" shoes are flip flop like. I will take a pair of heals for the stripper class for sure. And maybe one or two others when we go out. But for my walking during the days....flip flops or sneakers (chucks)

And when i say remind her of who she is ... i mean... remind her she is a unique and wonderful spirit that the world has been waiting for.

Who has the book on raising teenagers? I am going through more crap in my life, this time it all stems around a certain 15 year old daughter of mine. Dawn gave wonderful advice. I am worried when my kids are in their teens! Well, Adam already is, he's 14. But when he's 18, Noelle will be 16, and Lindsey and Hannah will be 13!!! I will have four teenagers in one house, three of them girls! :scared1:

So please, if you find that book, send it my way when you are done. In the meantime, hang in there.

Well, I'll give y'all something to talk about. Looks like the Haunted Vegas tour is a no go. :sad2: I called and the tour company cannot take all our certificates on one night. I contacted the radio show and the manager there was really helpful. Bottom line, I'm going to return Cheryl and Stacie's money, and exchange the tour certificates for other items. I'll get us a Rub BBQ and a Hash House to use. (those are one per group like I thought)

So now we are left with deciding what to do on Wednesday night to replace the tour. Ideas?? Thoughts? Suggestions?

We can plan something, or we can leave it open and see what discount tickets are available that day. We could still do the tour, but the regular price tickets are $54 each, and honestly it's not worth that amount to me. Sometimes they do have it discounted at the Tickets2Nite booth. So we can keep an eye on that if you want.
Whatever y'all want is fine with me. :thumbsup2

Well no, because each certificate is equal to two tickets, and I have two certificates for a total of four tickets. So does Cheryl and so does Stacie. So that's actually 6 certificates. We'd take up the whole tour practically and they want to save room for those suckers.......I mean, er customers who pay full price with no discounts at all. So they limit it. It's kind of confusing, but from their business side of it, I suppose it makes sense.

There are two companies with different locations on the Strip that sell discount tickets. They are separate and have nothing to do with the radio show.
There is Tickets2Nite, and Tix4tonight. Both places specialize in selling discounted (usually half off) show tickets for that evenings performances.

The shows they offer can change now and then, although certain ones are almost always on there. The booths open in the morning around 10 or 11. You can go there and see what they have listed for that evening and decide what you want to see.

Sometimes they give you the actual ticket. Sometimes it's a voucher that you then take to the box office and redeem for actual tickets. I've seen KA offered on there. Tony and Tina's wedding. Carrot Top and a bunch of others.
Jane had mentioned she saw the Haunted tour on there once before. So we can certainly check there and see if it's still offered, and at what price. But there is no guarantee.

If not, we can pick another show. OR not do a show and just hang out. It's all up to you all. :)

This is always a big debate around here.

Smoking IS allowed on the gaming floor of casinos, although most casinos will have a separate non-smoking gaming area, so make sure if you smoke you are not seated in one of those areas. And if smoke bothers you, then look for a non smoking section to gamble in.
Smoking is not allowed in convention facilities, hallways, bathrooms, elevators, employee break rooms, movie theaters, video arcades, airport, etc.

Also smoking used to be banned in bars that serve food, or have a kitchen. That law was passed in 2006, BUT just last month it was over turned, so I'm not sure about the bars now.

Beth, thanks so much for all that! So, bars that serve food - isn't that just about every restaurant on the strip? :lmao: A place that serves alcohol but also food... or is there some special definition of what a bar is?

Sorry to hear about Jordan...

Beth, thanks so much for all that! So, bars that serve food - isn't that just about every restaurant on the strip? :lmao: A place that serves alcohol but also food... or is there some special definition of what a bar is?
It's different. Out here there are a lot of poker bars, taverns, and lounges and such. They are different from a regular restaurant. Those places that were bars, and offered gaming but also sold food or had a kitchen, were told in 2006 they could no longer allow their customers to smoke.

For many of those bars, it was better for them to close down their kitchen (laying off their wait staff and cooks), and still allow their customers to come in, order drinks, play some poker and smoke. They make more money off the sale of the drinks and the gaming.

Last month a bill was passed to over turn that ban, but I think it has more steps yet before it goes into law. Who knows. All the law and bill talk gives me a headache. :rotfl2:

But yes, the "bars" that happened to serve food were separate then the "restaurants". Hope that makes sense. lol

That is great she left clothing for the locals. She has a good heart.
