Evening Guys,
I was just pondering about DLP as I often do when I thought about the windmill ride (Sorry, I cant remember its proper name)that was there in 2006.
It was closed so we never got to ride on it but it dawned on me that I havnt seen it mentioned in anyones trip reports or anywhere else.
I remember reading that it was an unpopular ride and often closed before our trip but I havnt thought any more about it till now.
Is that ride still there and is it used? I always thought it was a pretty looking ride, Im sure it had a cafe inside or very close anyway.
Thanks

It's still there but not as an operational ride. I don't think it's been in use for years.
When we went one Christmas they put decorations in each basket which made it look very Christmassy. The snack place is still there, we bought an ice-cream and sat there in the summer.

It is now a food outlet and has been closed for what seems like forever.
At Xmas time the baskets are filled with parcels :)

I think its a shame its been closed for so long, Im sure Ive read that the queues used to be ridiculous because of the limited buckets it was a very slow loading ride.
I bet it does look lovely from what you both described, Id love to go at Xmas :goodvibes

Is this the one called "Les Pirouettes" or something like that?
If so, I've never heard of anyone who has seen it operating. Mind you, in this photo there's people on it:

In fact it is so tucked away, I doubt that many people even know it's there at all. It is a lovely quiet area of the park though. We took this pic of Alice's Labyrinth from there:

I went to Disneyland Paris for the first time in November 1996 and already then it was not an operating ride.

Hope it looks as nice this year when I go. Miss that ride to be honest, was never the best ride and took ages to get on but the views on a clear day were really good
