Hi All,

We drove to DLRP in September this year using sat nav (bad idea) which took us via little villages etc and took a hell of alot longer than it should.

What is the best way to get there once you leave the train ? is there anything to head for ?

On the way back we basically stuck to 1 motorwar all the way which was by far the best way...80mph most of the way so would rather do hat on the way.

Just trying to get stuff sorted for our December surprise trip with the kids.....bit early to start planning i know.

Thanks

Last time we drove our sat nav tried to take us via BRUSSELS!!!
Like you we found it best to ignore the little routes and just stick to the motorway. Here is the route we used to Davy Crocketts - if you aren't going there just amend your destination.

Make sure you Sat Nav is not scheduled to avoid toll roads. Our's was initially and said that it would take 7 hours!! After taking off the toll road avoidance it took 3 hours all on motorways

That must be it, toll roads were set to avoid as I refuse to pay them over here lol so that must be the reason why it took us to the back and beyond to DCR.

Thanks for that guys, 1 thing ticked off for our December trip now.
