OH! Help me please!

Hi I'm in need of help:) I am a single mom with 2 daughters(6 & 8), on a tight budget(I waitress). We are coming to Disney World from Dec 31st through Jan 6th. We will arrive in Orlando about noon on the 31st what should we do for New Years Eve? My girls will have been up since 5 or 6 am so going all night isn't option but til 8 or 9pm is. We will have rental car. Also any other sugestions are welcome. I want to make my daughters vacation one to remember for so many years to come.

How about an afternoon in the Magic Kingdom and dinner at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary?

I know all the information can be overwhelming.
The best advice I can give you is - slow down - enjoy every little bit, and try not to do so much. Your in disney with your family and its all good :cloud9:

That said - Chef mickeys is always a must do for us.

Check out the parades schedules and try to fit spectromagic in if you can.

Congrats! You and your daughters will have a wonderful time! I've never been to the World for New Years, but the Christmas decorations will still be there, and it will be beautiful. My suggestion for a budget is to do more counter service than table service. You can buy one or two meals and split them. Also, to avoid the "I want to buy this.. and this.. and this..", decide ahead of time a $ amount for souvenirs and also decide that you'll be looking around the first few days and buying toward the end of the trip. Have a Magical Vacation!!

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation. I would suggest that you check ahead of time and find out when the parades are -maybe MK the first day and Chef Mickeys.

If your DDs like to dress up, purchase items likethe glittery hairspray , makeup, Disney barettes, Tinkerbell/Princess pony holders at home and pack in your checked bag. This way they can have the Bippety Boppity experience without the cost. We've packed a pink polo type dress for our 4 yr. gdaughter and do her makeup/hair in the room and she feels like a princess.
In order to help with souveniers, we tell our gkids that we look the first 3 days and then buy the day before we come home. I also pick up small items from the dollar store (stickers, new toothbrushes, colors, Disney yoyos, etc.) and Tinkerbell will either leave these in the room or put them in the back pack to be handed out for using good manners and being patient. This helps to have money for one or two nice souveniers. Also, consider getting autograph books at home from dollar store rather than buying at WDW.

Since you will have rental car, stop at Walmart/Publix and pick up snacks/drinks and some breakfast items to eat in the room.

Remember to slow down and enjoy the experience because you won't be able to see and do it all the first trip. After the trip, make a scrap book with each of your girls and then relive the magic over again.

Just a quick suggestion...if you celebrate Christmas, maybe Santa could help out with some Disney Dollars or a Disney gift card in their stocking. Then they could figure out what they want to buy with it while in the World. And I agree with checking out dollar stores in advance. I've picked up plenty of coloring books, etc with Mickey and his pals on them!:)
