Yearly Dues

I received my hardcovered informational book from DVC yesterday. Included in the back pocket was a chart with various costs for VB only. The yearly dues listed for 200 points at VB is $794.50. :eek:

Are the dues the same at other DVC resorts?
I am looking to buy into VWL soon.

The dues at each resort vary, but not by too much. I believe that VB is one of the highest dues (if not the highest dues) in the DVC. I paid around $600 for 180 points at BWV.

I know that there are those who have the exact price for the dues this year at each resort. I expect they will give you the details later.

2001 dues at Vero are $3.9726 per point so that is correct for 200 points. OKW dues are $3.1272 per point. I'm not sure about BW, HHI and WLV but I they are all in between the OKW and Vero rates but closer to $4.00 than to $3.00 per point.

If I am not mistaken, the 2001 dues at OKW are $3.13 a point.

If I am recalling a prior post correctly, the current dues at VWL are approximately $3.53 per point per year.

Just found BWV and WLV. Boardwalk is $3.82 and WLV is $3.63. These are from posters on the AOL board so BWV and WLV feel free to correct them if these are wrong.

What governs the amount by which dues can be increased from year to year? Is it spelled out in the ownership contract? Is it somehow part of state laws regarding timeshares? For the pretoection of the owners, I'm sure there are limits somewhere in the process.

The POS limits any dues increase to 15%, unless a higher amount is approved by a vote of 60% of the membership.

I don't know if the is FL law, Timeshare policy or just the provision selected by DVC.
