I am trying to figure out if I can do both of these activities on the same day. I was hoping to maybe take the kids on the catamaran in the morning and then DH and I can head over to Orient Bay for the afternoon. Can any of you experts help me determine if this is possible. I should mention that I was planning on doing the DCL sponsored catamaran excursion and doing Orent Bay on our own. We are 1st time cruisers...do you think we will be ok doing Orient Bay on our own. And finally I would be talking a 6 year old and and 9 year old by myself while DH sleeps in, will I be ok on my own with the two kids ( do I need to hold on tight to them or will they be ok on their own ?) Thanks in advance !

Sure, you could do it. Especially if you take a taxi to Orient Beach... so need to worry if your morning excursion is back in time. Sounds like fun.

You'll be fine taking them on your own on the catamaran. I'm a single mom and took my 7 & 9 year old and they actually sat in the very front so the waves could splash on them. They put a lifejacket on the younger kids including my 7 year old. It's very safe and alot of fun especially coming back into port singing YMCA in front of all the huge ships!!!!
