Well, first this post is being created because im bored I guess. Anyway, I was just curios to see what the best rates everyone has gotten for the Disney-owned hotels at WDW. It doesn't matter what type of discount , code, pass, whatever. Just post the hotel and the rate (plus what year and month) for each of the hotels you have stayed at!
Here's mine
Grand Floridian (2001) $199
Dolphin (2001) $99
All-Star (2001) $75

wow.....I am SO astonished with the prices you guys have gotten. I'm new to the resort world. How in the world would I go about getting those kind of rates? I was thinking of a trip in off season Dec. splitting resorts by starting at a Boardwalk deluxe (Swan and dolphin acceptable) to a monorail (Poly or GF). How in the world do I get those rates? Book early? Join clubs? Pick a different time period? Any suggestions whatsoever would be great. Thanks!

jmkst58, be sure to check out mousesavers.com. They have all kinds of discount codes there that may help. You may have to wait until closer to your trip to find some that apply, but keep checking. If you book your trip through Dreams Unlimited they do all the checking for you and will let you know the best possible rate. DU has helped us immensely!
Good luck!

Actually, it was a postcard rate for moderates and expired 12/24/01. Since our check-in date was during the post card offered dates, we were given the post card rate for the entire stay.
We were booked in Port Orleans Riverside. I kept reading that people were bging moved and my wife wanted me to call and make the change so we wouldn't wind up at a resort we didn't want in a room next to an elevator shaft and terrible view. When I called, I was told I could upgrade to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for an additional $800.00. I told the CM to let me think about it. Since a small percentage of the guest were getting rooms at the POR, I figured if we didn't hear from CRO, we would probably get to keep our ressie.
About 10 days before we were to leave, I got a call from CRO offering to upgrade to a deluxe (including AKL) at the same post card rate...so I jumped at it. I faxed in a request for an upgrade to Savannah view with bunk beds. When we checked in, I was told that they didn't have any bunk beds left with Savannah view, but had upgraded me from standard room to pool view.
We enjoyed our stay so much in December, we booked AKL for our trip at Easter...had to pay rack rate though for Savannah view. But it was worth it.
