Sunday June 1st

Today we were up and about ready to head off to Typhoon Lagoon for opening. We got there at 9am and found a suitable place to sit, the weather once again was perfect.

After putting our valuables in the locker we headed off to Crush ‘n’ Gusher and did all 3 rides before heading off for a relaxing ride around the park on the lazy river :teeth: After this we laid in the sun for a while and I then wandered off to get some pictures and a drink.

By 1pm it was time to leave as we didn’t have much shade although the clouds were building up!

We had a lazy afternoon and decided we would head off to MK tonight to watch Wishes. At around 6pm when I was on the balcony I noticed one of the electric gates was not closed on the savanna and a couple of the Greater Kudu had noticed this and made their bid for freedom!

The rangers came out and tried to encourage them back into the savanna but they hid in the long grass.

Eventually the rangers gave up and the Greater Kudu carried on their way round the building.

We got to MK just as the sun was setting and it was looking busy!

I had never noticed Minnie with Roy before.

It was then decided it might be a good time to go and get some food, as we had liked Columbia Harbor House before we headed off for some chicken and thick chips with malt vinegar :thumbsup2

Then as we had time to spare we went on the Haunted Mansion and then found a spot for Wishes.

After this it was time to return to AKV as tomorrow was Nathan’s birthday :)
