Happy Birthday Becca

I have just lurked again at the january code board...they are saying the codes won't be out until 5:00pm. hummmm, very interesting:rolleyes1 A Thursday night at 5:00pm. I wonder if the TA's will be happy about this one. I just want some savings, I'm not wanting my entire trip paid for, but a couple bucks off would be nice.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! My wish is that an amazing deal comes out tomorrow!:lmao:

I'm not sure. Can't they add just one date at the end of Jan??? Pretty please?

Maybe you should all get together and choose a day, then recruit people to come. Then, petition Disney to add the day you chose, promising a certain number of attendees.

Shawna, dear- Do not feel bad about staying home from church. I know that our lifestyle is very similar and I HAD to do the same thing two Sunday's ago. I was just physically and mentally exhausted. Burnt out, to put it bluntly. Everyone needs a break sometimes.

QOTD:
I'm hoping for 40% off rooms & PH upgrades, myself. I will save more money that way. It's a selfish wish, really....:confused3

That would be amazing... I would jump up and down for that, and maybe squeal a little bit.

5PM??? It's going to be a long day. I'm going to end up spending the whole day hitting the refresh button... as usual I guess:rolleyes1 .

QOTD: I really don't care what type of discount it is- I'll take anything. Right now I have no discounts at all so I can't lose!

You guys are making me sad.... all this talk about codes....they don't apply to me because we are renting DVC points. But that's ok.....I guess. :rotfl:

Anywho, I had...well...lets call it interesting day. It started off by someone telling me I was a moron and they didn't understand how a company could be so desperate for employees that they would hire idiots. Ok...cool!!:thumbsup2 My day did get "slightly" better after that though.

Ok, I'm off to get myself some Irish hot chocolate ;) .

Dang, that pretty much sucks. :( People can be so rude. Personally, I think it makes THEM look like the idiot. You just enjoy your tasty beverage and relax. GROUP HUG EVERYONE!!:grouphug: :flower3: pixiedust:

I just find that very hard to believe. Codes (not just for January) are historically released in the morning. IMO the only individuals that know for sure when codes will be released is Disney....:confused3

I can't believe how many pages you chatty birds got thru today! Then as I'm reading, the number of pages just kept becoming more!!

This has been a HORRIBLE day. I work in mental health, which on a good day is loud and chaotic, but today was awful!! MANY very ill (manic=LOUD AND HATEFUL). I actually had a patient tell me to **** off and die!! UGH!! I really need a drink.
Then I go to pick up the boys, and the baby (he's 2 but he's still the baby) has pretty much cried/whined all evening for no apparent reason. We went to gma's to get big brother and he continues to cry. No we've been home and he's been on my bed with big brother and has been QUIET looking at big brothers Dinosaur book. I can't believe it. I hate to go check on him because I don't want to jinx it!
OK -Done whining!!! I think I'm going to make me some coffee with chocolate creamer since I don't have any cold adult beverages at the moment!
Happy Code Watching!!! I think even if they don't come out, I'm finally going to go ahead and book at least room only for Pop. I just keep delaying it! Still don't know about the dining plan. May be cheaper to do without and get tickets thru Undercover tourist! WHO KNOWS!!!!!

Here you go :drinking1 I'll share- I'm having a Mudslide tonight. Usually it's just a cup of hot tea but tonight I felt like something a little yummier! A little pre-celebration drink in anticipation of codes!:yay:

You seemed to have caught on to the right of every Aunt to spoil their niece or newphew right way LOL!!! Nice choice on the outfit :thumbsup2 Have to make sure to raise the kid right...I mean GO BIG BLUE!!!:rotfl:

My SIL is actually an alum. We're just employees (we never went here). Amusingly, my BIL met her when we were still living in MA and they met in MN and now live in IL.

Shouldn't that be GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I... have friends who graduated from MSU. It's okay. We can get along. ;)

I promise to behave. Like my location says I'm a Spartan living among buckeyes so I know how it is to be odd girl out.

Oooh now that's tough!

I got an email deal for a hotel in Chicago for $99/night for, well, the winter. I think that would be a nice weekend trip for DH and myself. Despite being 4 hours away, I've never really been. But then, it's Chicago. In the winter.

I solved my "customer" problem by getting a job where I expect people to react negatively to me. This way, when someone gives me positive feedback, (some people actually appreciate Parking Nazis *gasps*) then I can feel happy. When people yell obscenities at me, I just shrug it off and move on, because I know it's the job they hate. Everywhere else I worked, every time someone got mad I felt like it was my fault.

I just find that very hard to believe. Codes (not just for January) are historically released in the morning. IMO the only individuals that know for sure when codes will be released is Disney....:confused3

Yeah... it wouldn't make any sense for them to wait until 5. Do they have a full staff after 5? I suppose they would since most people work during the day. It just seems to me that it'd be easier to release them in the morning...

We did Chicago in October a few years ago. It was COLD! and Windy! The call it the Windy City for a reason. But we had a blast though, shopped, ate, drank, shopped some more. Went to the American Girl store (we were with my SIL and her hubby and they have 2 girls). I was in Doll Hell. :scared1: I am so glad I have boys! :rotfl2:

Well I finally made it back! Thank you for all your warm wishes. Our little Zoe was a pound rescue and DD does not know what life is like without her. We did all we could medically for her (thanks to pet insurance) but it was her time. It's tough.
I never remember being this busy with "stuff".
I have an exam to write Dec 3rd, so study study study. DD has a book report due tomorrow, so we've forcused on that every other night for the past few weeks. Our PC is still in the shop and I am on my work laptop .

Our trip is for me, DH, DD and my Mom. The 4 of us went in Jan 2007 and loved it, so we've been planning to go back since Christmas 2007, saving etc. Our Jan 2007 trip was thru a TA, and we did research but I had not found the dis until I got back and was missing WDW so searched for photos to view. Here I am and ever since I have been engrossed. Until lately. I think I am worried that I'll get there and blank out, I had these intentions for my "binder"- yes I am "one of them" and I have no time for my binder!!!! Our last trip was planned and oranized, DH and I spent some late nighters researching and we used UG. We made little book on the computer and took it with us. We want to do this again, but better. I think we're running out of time. I went thru a gung ho stage in the summer, buying our Disney wardrobe. I just wish I had more time to get on here and get myself going again with all the details I wanted to remember! :)

There really is a lot to see and do in Chicago. Winter can be tough, but I'd go if I was only 4 hours away. We've gone during summer - Cubs game, of course! There's lots of cool restaurants, museums, etc. My girls wanted to go to the AG store, but I've held them off. Now we are getting one here at the Mall of America - 20 min. from my house! Guess we'll be going.

So sorry about Zoe. :sad1:
All this planning gets overwhelming and then life gets in the way! There is so much info out there - I can't believe I didn't know about DIS until last year. The stuff I've been missing!! Although, sometimes I think all this info is too much - as much as I'd like to get the most of my trip, ignorance could be bliss too! :)

Aww... my soon-to-be DH's family had to put their dog down a few weeks ago. He was so upset. They got Nacho, when he was little (he named him Nacho, after his favorite food) It was even more sad, because he didn't get to go home to say goodbye before they did it. The poor puppy (I call him a puppy, but he was very old) was doing very poorly for a long time. He was almost completely blind, and had a bum leg. The last time we went to visit he barely got out of his bed. It was Nacho's time as well, but that doesn't make it any easier.
Now, my soon-to-be DH bugs me about getting a puppy constantly. Unfortunately, we probably won't be able to get one for a few years, because we'll be renting.

Every time someone mentions the Disney store, I get so sad. Mine closed and the nearest one is in Syracuse. :sad1: I sure do miss it.

My closest store is now at the Woodlands, in Houston--almost 2 hours away:sad2: Bummer!

Sorry to all who had bad days at work and kids who are not on the up & up!! Hopefully they are not coming down with something--maybe just a little off with the time change!!:wizard:

I am finally caught up again. Whew!

Happy Birthday, Welcome and Congratulations to all Snowbirds. Quite a bit has happened all in one day!

Thank you Shelly for breaking the news of the Pirate and Princess parties. That is one of the reasons on why we booked for this time of the year. Our family will have to see if the parties are going to stay consistently in the Spring. If so we will have to plan to try to go then. We truly wished to experience that event.

To all Snowbirds that have been actively looking for codes. Thank you. Lucky for me, I have tomorrow morning off and I will be watching feverishly for a good code.

I received an email from our CAA agent who looked into the mysterious pin codes for the 40% off the room rate. She said it is all random who receives the codes (as we all know). She did say that if any general public code comes out she will definitely get it for us. "If they get any deals for January we will get it changed not to worry.", that is an exact quote from her today. Thus far, she is worth her weight in gold with all she has done.

I am going to go and rest up for what may be a busy day tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a great and wonderful evening.

Remmy

I guess if I wanted I could still do a code and if the deal is good enough I just might, but I got a great resort deal with AP and then adding the dining package I think I'm content so I have paid my package in full. I'll take ANY kind of discount right now. The anticipation is KILLING me! What time do they usually post codes? I can't get on the Dis OR the Disney website from work but I can check Mousesavers. I guess I'll just have to check that every three minutes or so!

Quick question about changing a package...is the fee to change your package after it's been paid in full...the code thread has said repeatedly that there is a $50 fee but my AAA TA has said she has never heard that.

OK with all this code talk, I'm contemplating on maybe doing a nicer resort. We've always done Values because we're cheap and we're not in the room much! They're fine, but I would love to do someday do something nicer. I've heard the moderates are very spread out and difficult to get around. (We pay for preferred at values because we want to be close to food court and busses). If it's too good of a deal, should I just enjoy the savings or bump up to something (AKL is my dream resort)? We really don't have the money for this trip ANYWAY (who does, really?), but we'll use tax refund to pay it off. Never mind, I'm just going to enjoy the savings...I've talked myself out of it!! I'm afraid once I go Mod or deluxe, I'll never go back to Pop!

Except for the land/sea package in 2001, we have always stayed the value resorts as well. My mom doesn't see the point in paying alot for a room were not in much. If the deal was really could I could get her to upgrade to a moderate...I really like POR...my Disney goal before I die is to stay at each resort once...I've got a lot to go.

We really don't have the money for this trip ANYWAY (who does, really?), but we'll use tax refund to pay it off. Never mind, I'm just going to enjoy the savings...I've talked myself out of it!! I'm afraid once I go Mod or deluxe, I'll never go back to Pop!

We have always stayed at the WL but this year we are going to try ASSp. I just can't spend the extra money...I feel like I need to be conserving cash "just in case". My boys are going to love it all the same and I really just need a clean bed/room.

I suppose I need to get some caffeine and get my kitchen clean. Furnace guy comes today, speech for DS3, I get my new contacts today  , and parent teacher conferences this evening......phew....it's going to be a busy one!

I asked this over on another thread but was wondering since I already have a PACKAGE booked directly through Disney for 7 nights, do they apply it and I save the difference or do I have to cancel rebook and be charged a fee? I am wondering if this deal is for new reservations only or something crazy like that?

:grouphug: Sounds like you need a big hug!!

Normally you could apply the code to the package you've already booked. However, depending on what the "big news" ends up being, you may have to cancel and re-book (I would re-book before canceling).

Hi, Peeps!:cool1: Looks like today is the day! You know at 5pm your time, I'm fast asleep! But I just might have to wake myself up to see what the deal is! I can't wait!

Now, my TA just contacted me to ask if I would be willing to move to a different resort if the deal does not cover our selected resort! So, I'm guessing that means I should think about some of the moderates. Problem is that I never even read about them because it was out of our price range. But, in the end, depending on the deal, it could be cheaper to stay there than to stay at POP at regular rate! So...can you help me?

Which mods do you all enjoy and why? I'm looking on the DisneyWorld site, but would love to hear your personal opinions on this one. Remember, I'm traveling with my family (Scot, 4 kids under 9) and my mom. We need 2 rooms.

So, still playing the waiting game! That's no fun! :confused3

We have stayed at 3 of the moderates.

CBR was our favorite! :cloud9: Beautiful grounds, white sand beaches, hammocks by the lake, Caribbean music playing quietly everywhere, a relaxing tropical feel, a beautiful bridge and island, great and huge food court, friendly CM's, double sinks in the bathroom with LOTS of storage space underneath, and the LARGEST rooms of all the moderates! They are currently rehabbing all the rooms and they recently opened up a brand new huge zero entry pool with 2 slides, plus a new children's pirate pool!

POFQ would be next on our list. We thought it was nice. Just not really our favorite. It is very small. If you are looking for small stay here! All buildings are close to everything within the resort. I think that was the thing we didn't really love about the place, we prefer the bigger more spread out feel. The food court was good, just very small too. The pool is fun. The slide is not very big though and maybe geared for younger children.

CSR, well I won't to into much detail here as I don't want to offend anyone staying there. We just had a very bad experience there. We wouldn't go back.

Overall the moderates are great. They are a nice middle of the road if you don't want to spend all that money on a deluxe but you want a nice relaxing place to rest on vacation! :goodvibes

Good morning all - Happy B-Day to Wendy's DD!!!

My DH hopped on at 6 a.m. (Central time). Then he came and woke me up to tell me the deal was 4 days, get 3 free. I said, where did you see that? Well, eventually it came out that he had been reading everyone's rumours and guesses on the code thread and I figured out it was not offical! :) I'm still hoping it is at least something I could use. We only have 4 nights, so a straight discount works better for me. And it's all about me, you know!

I too am disappointed about no new deals.

I emailed our travel agent twice last night with a few options just in case the upgrade is only moderates. We chose French Quarter because the children picked the dragon pool. We like small but CRB was a close second. We will see tonight when I return from work to see where I stand.

Unfortunately we may have booked with the Disney insurance that may be non-refundable, so I don't know what will happen. I have faith in our travel agent and we will be ok, I am just a bit paranoid right now.

My hope is free dining. I can't take all this waiting.

My silly computer is acting up and it is slowing down my net surfing. I will check in off and on this morning to see how it is going.

I wish everyone a great and wonderful day. Let's hope it is a good deal for everyone.

:rotfl2:

Well, I guess my DH is lucky that my niece is currently just a hair over 24 hours old. No reason to go to the American Girl store! ;) I've walked through Chicago once, years ago. We were visiting BIL & wife for Easter and I asked if we could go in to the city one day. Well. The ILs came with us but didn't want to be there. They walked as fast as they could so they could see as little as possible. The end result of that trip? My knee was injured so badly I had major surgery a few years ago. While I don't hold a grudge, per se, I just won't go anywhere with them again that requires touristing! ;)

Yeah, I'm very sure a Chicago winter is significantly more brutal than what we get in SE Michigan. But it sounds like FUN. I should look and see if there are any shows I"m interested in for that weekend!

So. I went ahead and booked it (one day sale, after all! ;)) and have some time to talk my DH into it. I started with the "Well, we do have season tickets for hockey on Valentine's Day but the sale IS good the week after. Wouldn't that be nice and romantic?" Now, he's the romantic one in the relationship. I'm the boring practical one, so appealing to the "we could do something! for Valentine's Day!" is the way to go.

Well according to Mousesavers the information about the HUGE deal is set to be released at 5pm. Ack. 5pm! I'll be on a plane! I sent my TA an "OMG PANIC sort of" email last night and she assured me she'd take care of it, but could I give her any additional resorts I'd like to stay in, in case there's nothing where we're booked? I ended up saying "anywhere is fine and if a deluxe rate is the same as what we have now for a moderate, that's FINE!" I hope DH doesn't mind. :rolleyes1 And since my parents are tagging along, I had to ask them as well. My mom's reply was "Grand Floridian!" Thanks, Mom, probably a little too rich for me!! ;)

Okay so I have sat here and done the math... lets assume (that might be stupid) that the new deal is purchase 4 nights and a 4 day ticket get 3 nights and 3 day ticket free ... Currently I have a standard room with the AP discount, so with the cost of renewing my annual pass, the cost of purchasing tickets for the rest of my party, the room and dining the cost is $2958

if I price out this new deal... standard room, 4 nights, 4 day ticket, plus dining.....getting the three free etc...the price is $2723 PLus we would get the $200 gift card...

if I upgrade to a preferred room, 4 nights, 4 day ticket, plus dining the price is $2835 plus we would get the gift card....

does that sound like ti makes sense??????????? I was hoping they would just do the one day ticket then we could apply that towards another ticket... that would have really saved us money... but I can see why they won't...

OK, my turn to run the numbers (without tax):
I currently have a AAA rate of $119/night for 7 nights = $833
If it's the buy 4 get 3 free, at rack rate of $149/night for 4 nights =$596 for a savings of $237.

We already have our tickets, so if I have to buy a 1 day ticket for both of us, that's $150 which reduces our savings down to $87. On the other hand, I can return the tickets we bought from UT for a fee of $40 and buy all the tickets from Disney as part of a package.

If it doesn't include free dining (or free dining for the 3 free days), dining still doesn't make sense for us. If there is some free dining, then I'll take it!

And of course, the $200 gift card doesn't hurt!

Of course, this is the one night in months that I can't be home at 5!!! Anyone willing to PM me the deal??? Please??? :worship:

Hmmmm..... that's a tuffy!!! If he can fly for work, why can't he fly with the kids? Is it more scary for him to be alone with them on a plane with the responsibility that something would happen? My mom is like that-she'll fly with my stepdad(barely), but would never in a million years get on a plane with a grandkid. I think --honestly---she'd have such panic it would give her a heart attack. No joke-she really panics like that. If it would be too scary and your hubby and kid would be traumatized, don't do it. Just pray about it, maybe the Lord will give him the courage. There will be loads of fun once the plane part is over!!!!

I just checked the SW site. If I go down the night before I was planning to go...it would be 716$ R/T for the 4 of us. That is not bad and it saves us almost $300 from what we were going to pay to take the train. But we won't have our car so I would have to rent one which would be about $150 still saving us $150...but then we'd need a hotel room for the extra night which would be about $100...still saving me $50 and then I would have an extra night, less travel time bc of flying.....hmm I am going to call hubby.:thumbsup2

That's weird. We have 3 direct flights out of Pittsburgh to Orlando a day with SW. And they just dropped to $64!!

We personally didn't care for SW when we flew with them in May for the first time. They broke a piece of our luggage and we didn't report it in time so they wouldn't pay for it. :sad2: I was pretty mad and told them that we would never fly with them again! But then I really didn't have a choice when AirTran messed with our flights. And now I am so glad they did!! :yay:

Thank you!! :goodvibes

It's Southwest.

I knew it wouldn't be Northwest - they don't give you any breaks. Basically whatever you book you're stuck with unless you find a lower price on line THE SAME DAY! Then it has to be a certain amount lower, and you get a voucher. Big whoop. I bet they never have that happen. (no, I'm not bitter about my flight getting cheaper after I booked...) :)

I have never eaten here.... anyone have any comments on the place...

We ate there in May. We liked it. It's nothing spectacular or anything. But it was good. DH and I both had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Very good. The kids had the Chicken Nuggets. They liked them. The place is big and bright. We sat upstairs by the window and had a great view of Future World while we ate. We will probably end up there again in January for lunch on our Epcot day!

I will be at dance with the girls at 5 p.m. Eastern!! I'll have to get DH on it. He'll be home. Hopefully he can figure out how to get the real code, not just rumors!! I'd offer to PM snkymom, but he won't know how to do that!

I have set my DVR for Survivor, if anyone misses it, I'll let you know what happens!

Shelly, what they usually offer us is a flight to DFW and then to Orlando, or Houston to Miami, then back to Orlando.:confused3 Kinda odd----but, I don't want to spend the day flying all over Tx and FL-- we gotta get to Mickey!!! The only diversion I would make, would be flying from our local airport to Houston-just to avoid that traffic!!! But, it's an extra $108 per ticket==Xs 5 of us. Not justifiable!!

I am wondering the same thing. We would like to stay with ASMo in a preferred room (Toy Story)- for the theming and savings- but I'm wondering if my room will be included? Oh and did I mention I need 3 rooms since we are a Grand Gathering! If it works out, we may upgrade to CBR- we've stayed there twice with no complaints and loved it! Or we are thinking of trying something different since we've already been to CBR twice. Perhaps PORiverside? 5:00 is along way away and I really wish I knew some things to prep for the call.

Unfortunately we may have booked with the Disney insurance that may be non-refundable, so I don't know what will happen.

Yup- wondering about this one too! We are all booked with packages- myself my sister and my parents.
OH MY GOSH!!! I just saved another $160 on my airfare!!! :cool1: :woohoo: My flights started out at $109 each way, then went to $84 each way, and now are at $64 each way!!!!! My official grand total round trip for the 4 of us is now $596!!! I saved $360 from the original price!!!

Okay maybe today's my lucky day and we are going to get an awesome Disney deal too!!! :wizard:

My parents are booked with Southwest. Their rates have gone down too.Can you just call them to apply the difference?

Anyone else have an opinion about the mods? From what I can see, I like the Coranado Springs one best so far...but none of them really stand out to me. I like Pop better! What are the chances that choosing a Mod on a discount over staying in Pop without a discount will work out better financially?:confused3

I feel like all the planning I did is flying down the tubes. I read everything there is to read about the value resorts. Nothing about any of the other resorts. I have to discuss with Scot and give my TA an answer since he'll be working his magic while I'm alseep!:rolleyes1

for counter service in Epcot we prefer Sunshine Seasons in the Land. They have so many choices and if you are on the dining plan it is good bc the prices are a little higher (bc they have better choices) and so you get more bang for your buck. They have chicken legs for the kids which my kids love. They also have tons of desserts to choose from. The strawberry shortcake was yummo!!

as for getting your flight for less...you can go on their website to change it...The difference is put on travel vouchers that you have to use within a year. They don't give you money back. We have used the vouchers before and we have also sold them on ebay when we couldn't use them.

This would be a great deal I think for those who have multiple people going and haven't already purchased their tickets. I'm neither :guilty: If I did my math correctly then this is how this rumored deal works out for me...

For me I have already bought my AP so I would have to add $250.00 either way. So if I were to have to buy a 4day ticket also it is not a savings for me, even with the $200 gift card... (if was a room only rate my savings would be $91.00 not sure worth the hassle of canceling a package LOL) so at this time I'm here to help others out and help you guys pass time. I officially paid my package off yesterday with my gift cards and I'm very excited that my trip is in stone and now I'm going to hope that all you get the greatest deal ever because it was expensive for me to go I can't imagine what it must be for a family!!! SO here's to all the great deals my snowbirds can imagine!!

In total for package ( with DDP) cost me a whopping $670 dollars. So my trip including rental car and estimates on gas will cost me less than $900. With a budget that began about $1300 I saved myself over $400...and my hubby couldn't be happier!!

I must say thank you to all the Snowbirds who gave such helpful advice...you guys surely have made this experience so much better for a novice Disney planner as myself so THANK YOU!!

Well I stayed up late to see what codes would be announced and of course there's nothing more than I knew this morning. So now it's Midnight here in the land of Oz BUT I have crunched all the numbers into my spreadsheet and.....

Reservation as it is - buying AP for me, DDE Card, 10 day MYW Hopper tickets for DDs & DH, and AP RO rate for available dates - total for entire holiday (22 Dec & then 30 Dec-14 Jan) including food is $4677.

If we can take advantage of the pay4free3 offer without DDP - total is $4970, but we get the $200 gift certificate, but still $93 more than current AP rates. If dining happens to be part of the pay4free3 promo, total goes up to $5090, $213 more than AP RO total, but we would have 2 extra table service meals.

I guess the biggest reason for it not working for us is we're arriving on 30 Dec and want to spend NYE in Epcot, so would need to buy 1 day passes for that. Then we'd also have to change our Universal/IOA days to 2&3 Jan, and would probably end up buying express passes as I imagine it'd still be pretty busy on those days.

So, unless there's a room discount along with this promo, we'll be skipping and leaving things as is. For us the 40% RO AP discount makes more sense (and gives us 20% off our 'adult beveredges).

Have a good day Snowbirds - I'll catch you (later) on our Friday, after you've all recovered from your 5pm excitement (or maybe I'll be awake early enough to observe your excitement here on the DIS).

b.t.w. summer is truly here in QLD - it's 25C (77F) overnight and up to 35C tomorrow (95F). Warm enough for a swim in our pool before school in the mornings now!

Cheers

If the deal is buy 4 days and get 3 days free...we are their for 10 days...we would have to pay for seven days and then get the 3 days free. If we have to switch to a moderate I would go to POR. I'm still hoping for free dining.

That's the same boat I am in. . . We now have a $360 credit with SW. It has to be used within a year of when we originally booked, which was August. It's very unlikely we will fly again by then. I have heard of people requesting a refund from SW instead of the credit. I am going to wait another few weeks because a Ding is likely to come out and lower the price even further. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA!!!

Quick question about changing a package...is the fee to change your package after it's been paid in full...the code thread has said repeatedly that there is a $50 fee but my AAA TA has said she has never heard that.

The fee is only after you have reached your 45 day marker.

I asked this over on another thread but was wondering since I already have a PACKAGE booked directly through Disney for 7 nights, do they apply it and I save the difference or do I have to cancel rebook and be charged a fee? I am wondering if this deal is for new reservations only or something crazy like that?

You'll probably have to cancel and rebook, but they shouldn't charge you a fee unless you've gotten past your 45 day mark.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA!!

Sorry I missed it..... hope all your wishes come true!!!

Thanks! It's ok... I feel like I missed it too, since I didn't really get to celebrate yesterday.

BTW, Happy Birthday to your DD!

Hi, Peeps!:cool1: Looks like today is the day! You know at 5pm your time, I'm fast asleep! But I just might have to wake myself up to see what the deal is! I can't wait!

So, still playing the waiting game! That's no fun! :confused3

I've never stayed at a Mod, but our choice would have been POR. However, with kids I probably would choose CBR, that's where I would stay with my little brother and sister if they were coming with me.

Anyway, I'll be checking in later! Have a great anticipatory day everyone!!

Tehehee... our poor men. I told my soon-to-be DH to check online last week for discounts (the day the AP discount came out). Well, he didn't tell me about any, so I just assumed there weren't any and didn't check until around 4pm. I was so mad (not really mad, but discouraged) at him, because I thought he didn't look. Apparently, I was upset for no reason, because I guess the internet he was using that morning wasn't working, so he couldn't use it. I felt bad. Luckily, today I can check for myself at 5pm.

Alright, so this has nothing to do with January, Snow or Codes BUT....I think someone said we were going to talk about booking other trip!!!

So, last night I see the ESPN weekend dates and they happen to fall on DH's birthday. DS11 would love to go...sooooo....I checked into the airfare and it's 178 round trip....I think I need to book a boys only trip! I mentioned it to DH and he said "please don't make me travel by myself". I reminded him he would be with DS but he is so afraid to fly he just locks up. He's flown several times for business by himself....I just don't know what to do....push him because I know the two of them will love it and have a great bonding experience or leave it alone and let the introverted engineer sit and rot with no quality time with his kid...hmmmmmm......ideas girls??????

Haha! Introverted engineers:lmao: I was blessed with a father like that. Sometimes I have to almost literally pull information out of him, because he's not a free talker.
Is there a reason why you can't go with them?

I have tons of Excel spreadsheets with "let's assume" written all over them. It makes sense to me. Basically, I've figured out that if you spend more, you save more, which is what justified my booking AKL in the first place. I figured if they gave ANY discount on the room I'd probably end up paying around the same amount as I'd pay at a Moderate at Rack Rate, so why not splurge and hope a little. I didn't book the Concierge Savannah View Room like I REALLY want, but I think I'll just be so happy to be at AKL with 10 days to spend with the love of my life that I really won't mind that I can't see the animals from my window. Also, the AP 40% cuts the difference between AKL and a Mod in half, so even though we COULD save more by dropping down a rung... I really want to stay at AKL!

That's about the boat I'm in with Delta, (didn't they just merge :confused3 ) except thus far I have not come across a better deal than the one I booked back in June. The ones coming up now are $198 before taxes and fees, which bump the price up to around $240. I paid $211 total, so I'm saving quite a bit. My introverted engineer father even offered to pay for the tickets, because he thought it was that great of a deal, and he knew that if he didn't we would probably end up using his frequent flyer miles, and he is very possessive of his points. I think he just likes the idea of having a few hundred thousand points, even though he never has a reason to use them himself, because the reason why he has them is he travels for work ALL the time.

Congrats on the awesome airfare, Shelly!:thumbsup2

It depends on what the discount is. If they offer the buy 4 get 3 free, then I'm figuring that your room total at a Mod would be about $50 more than staying at Pop at rack rate.

This is an official quote from an email from my CAA travel agent,

I will be re booking at 5pm tonight. I called disney and they would not tell me for sure however when I said I would call back at 5 she said that would probably be about the right time. I will do whatever works best for you. Will let you know when it happens.

I had already given my other choice and what options I wanted and I asked to keep in the same price range.

Woo hoo!!! :yay: :cheer2:

Good morning Snowbirds! :cool1: :cool1:

I somehow missed it yesterday...:bday: Becca!
And today, :bday: to Wendy's daughter! (Maggie?)

There really is a lot to see and do in Chicago. Winter can be tough, but I'd go if I was only 4 hours away. We've gone during summer - Cubs game, of course!

Yea, another Cubs fan! :yay: Our day is coming...someday...hopefully during my lifetime... I've been biting my tongue during the Wolverines/Spartans talk here :sad2: --it's nice to know someone else supports one of my teams!

OH MY GOSH!!! I just saved another $160 on my airfare!!! :cool1: :woohoo:

Okay maybe today's my lucky day and we are going to get an awesome Disney deal too!!! :wizard:

Yea Shelly! :cool1: I had a somewhat similar moment yesterday. I was driving past a gas station and saw that gas was $2.41/gal...and suddenly remembered that when I drew up my budget over the summer, I planned for $4/gal! I figure we'll need about 75 gallons round trip, so we've already "saved" over $100, and probably more, depending on what prices are like in Jan. :teacher:

Andrea, we had also considered the autotrain, but WOW it's expensive! I might check on airfare again, too. Baltimore usually has the cheapest flights in our area--you might even look into that, it's not too far from Philadelphia (closer than the autotrain in Lorton!)

I can ask my sister when she gets back from her vacation... she is in Aruba right now... she actually called this morning and said it was in the 90's during the day and in the 80's at night.....

Okay, thanks! :goodvibes

Aw Aruba sounds wonderful. :cloud9: The closest I will get is Aruba at CBR! :rotfl:

Are you flying out of Bush? We are too- and we only do Continental. Southwest has a crazy route and it costs more. What's up with that? Oh well, that's who our reward point are with anyway-I think we are at 3 free (well not really free,! rewarded) tickets right now. So, we will only have to buy 2---unless we get enough between now and then-we usually don't have to but any!!!!

Yeah were out of Bush too! We are in The Woodlands and Hobby is too far away. Dh is trying to see if we can leave a little earlier on the 8th. Cont. just changed our flight to leave 15 min. later. We are going to see if we can catch an earlier flight that day. If Cont. will allow it at no penalty!?! I would love free tickets but DH doesn't fly that much for business.

Becky, we flew out of Hobby once on a SW flight, didn't care for SW or the Hobby airport!! I loooooove the Woodlands!!! And you have a close Disney store!!! I love the little changing room in there. My little girl likes to just go in there and sit!! Ha! I think we may be due for a Woodlands trip--we haven't been in a while. Any good concerts at the Cynthia Mitchell Pavillion thing coming up? We could meet each other if I came over!!!! Yeah:cheer2: At the Disney Store!!!!:wizard:

Well its not been a good week for me snowbirds I could use some hugs. First DH has been having issues w his mom things are not good there. But the main issue is she is supposed to go to Disney with us in Jan. So here I sit wondering how to handle any & all reservations made for 5 if we end up only being a 4. So then to top it off tests came back from Doc yesterday I do have to go in for surgery next FRI!! It was either now or after the trip. So I really hope they do a good deal free park hoppers room rate whatever I really need some cheering up:sick:

Airline question: A few weeks back, from Houston to Orlando was $368, they have been dropping over the last week--Yesterday was $268, today is $248. Here's the dilemma---how many days should I wait and see how low they go? If I get to say $200--and the next day it goes back up, I have 'lost' the savings. If you book and cancel with Cont. to re-book, I think it's a $100 penalty--PER Ticket! That's what the lady told me last year. So, how many days should I wait? What is the optimum time period before a date that the tickets are the lowestk? I know the last few years , we book around 12 or 13 weeks out and that's as low as they go before they start to increase again. But, with oil/gas dropping what should we do? Congrats on the awesome airfare, Shelly!:thumbsup2

We've stayed at CBR and CSR and I like them both!

CBR: We were very far away from the main building at CBR and I didn't like the hike or waiting to take the bus just to get a quick bite. The pools were all nice and the location to all the parks is fantastic. You are basically in the center of all the parks. At night you can see fireworks from your room or just down a path. The Food Court was similar to a mall food court....it was okay.

CSR: Very nice resort similar amenities to CBR with the exception that the food court was a tad more $$. But the food was worlds better than CBR...IMO. We bought 2 buckets and shovels one night ($1-2 each) at the gift shop and layed in a hamock together while DS and DD played in the sand.
One of my favorite nights! I think this one might be my fav. mod.

We are booked into POR but I have been thinking about switching to CBR or CSR. no matter which one we choose, I will request a building close to the Main building.

POR sounds beautiful but I wonder if it's going to look too much like home? Here in Houston we have the azalea's and magnolia's and all the lush green plants that POR has and I wonder if it will be enough of a difference to make me feel like we are on vacation. KWIM? If we stay CBR then it really feels different...hence....more like a vacation. Okay that sounds really whiney...but what can I say....wah wah wah! :lmao:

I totally get the "I want it to feel different" thing. That's how I felt about CBR, sort of. We live in a beach town. Sand is nothing special for us, I vacuum up more of it than some people have ever seen!

That's part of why we chose AKV. I think I'm really going to feel that we're somewhere else. ;)

Electric Umbrella (CS)

I have never eaten here.... anyone have any comments on the place...

I ate there for the first time on my last trip. We usually eat at the Seasons in The Land Pavilion (think that's the name of it). We thought both were fine. I personally liked Electric Umbrella better. Seasons, yes had a lot of different food, but I'm a rather plain person so nothing, other than their salad appealed to me.

And for those of you who don't know, the salads down there can be HUGE! Usually my sister and I split one and we still can't finish it off.

sounds like maybe it was Peco Bills

OMG...I LOVE PECOS BILL!!!!!!!!!! Whenever someone asks what I want to eat, my response is always Pecos Bill!

Becky, that was the same thought I had!! We don't want to look like we are still in TEXAS!!!! I don't think Mike will ever want to go to Hawaii, so I love the Poly. We also like the BC because it reminds him of going with his family from Penn and Jersey to the Boardwalk-somewhere I may never go--so we enjoy being there too. We really like being so close to Epcot at night. That's the only thing about the Poly--but,I am planning on being back to the room a bit earlier a few nights so we can watch the fireworks from the beach:lovestruc

Disney is being very tight lipped about what this discount is going to be. I spoke with my travel agent this morning and she told me she knew nothing more than I do - that "Disney is not saying a word." :confused3 She's heard something about 5 today, and also 8:00 p.m. :scared1: She told me regardless she will be working to make sure if we can use it, she'll get it applied. I guess that's why I love having a TA - I don't have to sit on the phone and wait - she can do it for me. Sounds like it's going to be a long night!!

Mods - I have only stayed at POR. We loved it. It's just beautiful, nothing like where I live, great food court. Fun extras, like renting bikes, boats; the boat ride to DTD. Buses were crowded for us, but it was MLK weekend when we were there last year.

So sorry to hear your needing surgery Kayte! Hope all goes well for you. We will be thinking of both you and Sarah.

DisneyMommy3 - don't wait too long on airfares!! I was just burned by NWA. On Tuesday, flights from Orlando to Minneapolis were $90 one way (I already have one way down). I was waiting on the dang codes, so I didn't want to book and spend more money if I was changing hotels, etc. On Wednesday they went back up to $144. Granted, not huge dough, but still. It can change any minute. If you can get a $200 round trip, I'd do it.
I have heard that after an election, no matter who wins, things in the economy will go crazy - like the price of gas going back up. It hasn't here at least as of this morning (thank goodness)! My DH is driving to WDW, so we'd love it if prices stayed where they are!! Good luck!

Oh that would be fun! I love the Disney store and The Children's place is just next door! The Cynthia Woods Mitchel Pavillion is closed untilearly next year. It suffered tremendous damage during Ike! The top was torn off or left in tatters and the stage was completely wrecked! So sad! You should check out all the new growth along the water way. We don't even consider how close we are in relation to the parks when we book our resort. We book based on price alone. That's why we usually stay at All Star Music.

It's not whining! I totally understand. I live very close to the Jersey Shore, and so I'm a bit leery about staying at the Boardwalk. Granted, Atlantic City doesn't look like that anymore, but it definitely reminds us all of Cape May. While it's beautiful and fun, it's a little bit too close to our ordinary summer vacation, which is why we always put off staying there. My first timer friends were shocked to visit it and see they even had a miniature Lucy the Elephant in the lobby - at least, all Philadelphians I know have convinced themselves it's our beloved Lucy!

Haha! Introverted engineers:lmao: I was blessed with a father like that. Sometimes I have to almost literally pull information out of him, because he's not a free talker.
Is there a reason why you can't go with them?

Yeah, I can't justify taking the two little ones for one weekend. Besides....I just got back from a 10 day WDW trip without Dh or the boys!

DH just came home sick and it about freaked me out! We moved here in July so he could take a job with Whirlpool and they layed off a bunch of people last week. When I saw him pull in the drive I about fell over, I thought for sure we were goners! So, now I get to spend a day with a sick, introverted, engineer....this should be fun!

For the record, he now states he could probably handle the trip if I have everything all laid out for him, that means setting up the town car service, meals, etc. Hmmmmm....plan a WDW trip...I'm not sure I'm qualified!:rotfl:

Sarah will be thinking of you too mine is in the afternoon yuck I hate waiting! Have a good trip.

I would make sure to book ADRs for 5... if you only show up with 4 thats okay... but showing up with 5 when you have a ressie for 4 they might not be able to accomodate you....

Thanks... when I was there a few weeks ago they told me they were scheduling into January.... I asked them if I could wait until the first week of February.... I don't want to have ride restrictions when we are at WDW... now if they could do it next week that would be fine.... but because it is elective surgery they are last priority at the hospital... as it should be.... so I am okay waiting until after our trip... just the fact that I know I can have it makes me happy!!!

Our ADR's will be for 8 because we will be meeting up with friends for our meals. Our friends from here will be down there about the same times as us so we will meet to ride certain rides & to eat. Their little guy is not quite as adventerous as mu kids when it comes to rides.

My concern is the room reservation we were going to get 2 rooms but if she doesnt go we wont need that extra one. Tons of savings. Would Disney just credit us for it or apply it towards our costs? I haven't booked anything yet because I was waiting for my test results & for Chuck's bonus to come in.

Oh, come on, it would be like MN - Beautiful north woods theme - We could call it the Wilderness - oh wait, I think that's taken!! :rotfl2:

Oh how I wish I lived somewhere where I could say ya'll all the time. :cloud9: Seriously, I love it! OH NO!! Here we say "you guys" all the time. Ya'll cracks me up! I have southern in-laws who say ya'll, but I'm a midwestern Yankee - we never say ya'll. :)

We don't even consider how close we are in relation to the parks when we book our resort. We book based on price alone. That's why we usually stay at All Star Music.

I'd love to stay at one of the monorail resorts, well wait I take that back, I'd love to stay at Poly or Contemporary...the Floridian does NOTHING for me.
Oh well, I'll never have enough money to stay someplace else...so the Values work fine for me.
Heck, it's Disney, I'd sleep in a tent in the parking lot if I had to.:rotfl:
I'm no fan of GF either. Pretty to look at, but I'd feel out of place. I've stayed at Contemporary - super convenient is about all I'd say. I usually go for price too - hence SOG. But moderates are nice and not too expensive in the value seasons. We've not been able to stay long enough ever to spend a lot of time at the resort anyway. But, I also would sleep in the van if it came to it!

Kayte...:grouphug: Praying all goes well with your surgery.
My DH and his mom--and my DH and his dad--also have issues, and it's never easy to know what to do. Wishing you peaceful resolution.

Ive worked the numbers for the "alleged" code and it doesn't work for us!:sad2:

Right now I have two ressies Dec 30 & 31 CSR and Jan 1 - 12 ASSp. I used the AP rate for the second ressie and was going to buy one AP and then the rest 10 PH. (we are spending two day visiting family)

Sooo...In order to use the "alleged" code I would need to buy tickets for the first two days and then get the remainder tickets when I checked in on the fourth. That means my room rates for the 1,2 & 3 would revert to rack rate because I wouldn't have the AP....and well....you get the picture!

Now, I'm furiously trying to see how many of my friends I can call and help them make vaca plans using the "alleged" code info. Someone might as well get the use of it!:rotfl2:

This all works out just as well....now DH will have to take DS to ESPN weekend to justify the AP and then of course we will have to go back in the fall! Woohoo....I think this will work out better for me in the end!:rotfl:

Hope the code works for everyone else!:cheer2:

Thanks actually the Dells is a very popular place for Spring Break not easy to get a reservation then at all. The majority of the 'nice" water parks are indoor parks anymore. Which is good since the lake is gone now

There are some really cool places there now. Wilderness Lodge is HUGE hotels or condos your choice, then there's Great Wolf & several others. We are only a couple of hours away from there. If the rumors are true, I will have 7 days spoken for with the 4/3, then 4 more days, which I'm hoping I'll get at AAA rate. I'm thinking Disney will anticipate options for folks with different lengths of stay and be able to handle that (I hope).

Shelly...I talked to hubby about the travel credits. I hope this makes sense.

He said to list the item as "Southwest travel credits" list the amount and when they expire.

After someone wins the auction, you then get their name and southwest number. You then log into your sw account, look under ticketless travel credits and put their name and number in and it will transfer the credits to the person who bought them. I hope this makes sense. He said that right now some people are getting more money than what the credits are worth bc if you buy through ebay "buy it now" feature you can get 20% off your purchase. So if you do list it, do it as "buy it now".

Hope that helps.

She drinks soy milk at home and I am aware that we can get it at TS and some CS places. She can eat cheese and yogurt. My question is this : Is anybody aware of any places at WDW that sell frozen yogurt? Thanks for your help! :thumbsup2

snykymom.....I understand what you are saying about YC/BC BUT....
I can't overemphasize the convenience factor of staying so close to EPCOT. It is really wonderful. Now that being said...for a little more you can stay at one of the monorail resorts and be really convenient.

Funny - I want to stay at YC/BC because I am from New England and it reminds me of home!!! Luckily, there are no "college campus" resorts so I don't have to worry about it.

Oh no.... two Snowbirds that we will need to worry about that day... I am sure everything will go fine...:grouphug:

You can. I think the concern would be that there are only a certain number of rooms eligible for the discounts - and then people would change their reservations to another resort to get them, so there may not be that many "left" after a while. That's my understanding as to why people are so excited to find out and get on the phone right away.

Good afternoon everyone! First of all, I hope that the upcoming surgeries go well. You'll both be in my prayers and thoughts. I wish you both the best.

As for Disney hotels looking like home, I don't have that problem either. Saratoga Springs is like 6 hours away from here and it's nothing like Buffalo. On my next trip to WDW, I'd really like to stay on property. I stayed at ASMu when I was 15 with my parents and little sis. It was nice, but cramped. I'm kinda spoiled now with my parents having a timeshare. I don't think I could stay anywhere without a full kitchen and separate bedrooms now!

I'm so excited for the codes to come out for all of you! Even though I can't use any codes, it makes me happy when my fellow snowbirds are happy! Best of luck!!

That one I'm going to have to defer to my fellow snowbirds who are more knowledgeable - I have not dealt with AAA stuff before. I recall reading somewhere that certain things can only be handled through your AAA agent, and sometimes you can deal directly with Disney. I am under the impression that if you have booked a AAA package and you want to change or apply codes, that the agent has to do that because they "own" the reservation. Don't quote me on it, I'm not 100% sure. :)

Sure you could. I imagine there will be a lot of new bookings and cancellations after the "magic, super-fabulous, extra-fancy, fantabulous" deal comes out.

I'm hoping we'll be able to book the new deal online - I'd rather look at my options that way than try to follow a CM on the phone.

Ok I'll try to explain this best I can. Your Code/voucher is your booking code from orig ressie. so say code was 6doyy thats what you/person who buys credit needs to put in ticketless travel funds box to use credit.

I would be careful of selling code before you fly if code is same because that is key to your ressie and if you sold code person buying it could go in and cancel your entire flight plan leaving you with no way to get to mickey.

Who am I kidding? I'll be back on the DIS at midnight just to at least see what the deal is!:lmao:

Hi Carrie,

I've seen a few threads from the past where people had to move to All Stars to take advantage of the discounts because Pop either had no availability or not enough. I think Pop is the most popular of the values, so they don't have to work as hard to fill it.

That's where you have to make a HARD decision - theme or $$$$$$$. Good luck with that!!!

Lucky you, having a TA to watch over you! Here it's 9.25 pm and I am desperately trying to stay awake for another hour and a half (I got up today at 5 am to study for a test I had this morning, so I'm pretty tired now). But if it is a package deal as the rumour on the code thread says, it will be no use to us (unless we could qualify for the gift card even with a room-only reservation). But of course I will be happy for all those snowbirds who benefit from the discount!

Maria...I hate to tell you, but it's currently 2:30 pm here in the Eastern US. So two and a half hours to 5:00 pm. :headache: Could you go take a nap and wake up, if you think it's important to check right away?

I have a question for all of you experienced Disney travellers! My DD5 has an intolerance to milk. She can't drink cow's milk or eat ice cream. She drinks soy milk at home and I am aware that we can get it at TS and some CS places. She can eat cheese and yogurt. My question is this : Is anybody aware of any places at WDW that sell frozen yogurt? Thanks for your help! :thumbsup2
I don't want her to feel left out when her sister gets to have ice cream! :flower3:

I just peeked at a few menus for MK - didn't see any frozen yogurt but the ice cream stands seem to have alternate cold treats, like ice pops, frozen lemonade and fruit bars. You could check some of the restaurants menus for dessert options too. Oh I see Cosmic Ray's lists strawberry yogurt as a dessert - doesn't say whether it's frozen or not.

Thanks. Do we think this will only be for packages (that is, including park passes) or would it be available for room-only reservations?

As NDG just said, your AAA agent can work it tomorrow. No worries! :)

From the sound of things this is going to be a package deal!! Someone mentioned before that often after package deals are announced they will sometimes follow with just a room only deal. But don't hold me to that... all this code talk has made for one confused Jennifer LOL!

Plus, I've heard there's plenty of soy milk options throughout WDW. Did you look over at the Disabilities board? They have TONS of great info.

Okay this is nuts! The excitement I'm feeling is like the night before Christmas.....Only.....when I was 9! :lmao:

My DH has called me 3 times today to find out what is going on on the DIS! He is hooked too! I even caught him reading this thread!

I really hope this deal comes out today! I don't know if I could wait make it more than a few more hours....

I actually pulled out the paint (that I bought the first week of summer) to paint my kitchen. I'm almost 1/3 finished. I just paint a little section and come back and check the DIS...Paint....DIS...Paint....DIS...DIS....DIS...O h yeah, Ooops the paint is drying out!;)

See you all in a few.

Okay, thanks for the info! :goodvibes I really appreciate it. I will definitely wait until after we get back before I do anything with it. I don't need anything messing up my flights!!

Oh, absolutely - I'd prefer the Boardwalk, though! Right now, unless the HUGE deal is really HUGE and not the $200 I'm thinking I might save, we're sticking with a moderate anyway. D's dream is to stay at the Grand Floridian, but something tells me that ain't happening - at least not if she wants to stay in college! :lmao:

Haha... I'm glad the GF doesn't appeal to me.

All you guys talking about the resorts looking like where you live make me laugh. I don't have that problem! Really I don't think a resort that represents WI would be a hot seller:rotfl:

A resort about Kansas would be about the same.... I guess they could have Buffalo roaming outside though... and of course they would add the Wizard of Oz theme:confused3

I say let the ya'lls fly! I've heard that ya'll is working it's way into other regional speak.

Oh and if you love "ya'll" you'd be head over heels for how many times a day I hear FIXIN'! As in "I'm FIXIN' to go pick up my son at preschool"! :lmao: There are so many words that are soooooo Texan I just love 'em all !!!

Haha... well at least he'll go!

I've stayed away from the code threads--I like it here where it's safe! :goodvibes Could someone please give me a quick summary of what we THINK is coming out? (I know it's all speculation at this point, but I'd like to do a little number crunching too!) ;)

We think something similar to the discount they released after 9/11 is coming out. I think it was something like buy 4 days, get 3 free. Which means you pay for 4 nights at a resort and tickets, then get 3 free. At least that's how I've deduced it. Which means if you're staying at a Value ($82/night) then you'd pay $82x4, but you wouldn't pay for your last 3 nights, which means you'd pay $328 and save $246. The extra tickets aren't as big of a discount, because you only pay a few extra dollars per extra day, but they want to tie it into a package, because then you have to pay 45 days in advance.

I'm not sure how they'll deal with stays over 7 nights, because if I have to pay for 6 nights and get 3 free, then I'll probably keep my AP discount, and not have to pay in advance, which has less restrictions for changes.

You're DD isn't gonna miss out at all! My DD has a level of lactose intollerance, so we try to avoid milk & icecream too, but from what I've found out, WDW seems to go out of their way to cater for food allergies. There's soy based icecream available in all the parks - just check out DisAbilities board like pp suggested and you'll get all the info there, and an email contact at WDW who'll email you a list of all the places that sell dairyfree and soy icecream.

Cheers!

Disney in 60 Days

That's what I'm thinking, but eventually it becomes less of a deal that the AP discount released next week, and once people hit above 10 days, then they have to get an AP anyways, or use old tickets from previous trips...or I suppose add Water Parks & More.
I don't know the actual answer though... I guess we'll just see what comes out this evening...
