when are you flying? If you are traveling in the next few months, then you are stuck with $400 if you are flying NWA. If you have some time, consider booking a charter flight on Champion Air. Leaving on Weds, the prices were $208 and the Saturday departures were $228 or something like that. You have to book through Worry Free Vacations, but I find the price and the flight times to be perfect for me.

NWA is $313 right now if you transfer in Tenn on the way back, direct on the way down. Or Transglobal has 228 roundtrip on a charter flight. When are you going down? we are going the first 2 weeks in december.

Check out -- orbitz.com -- they always seem to have some sort of lower pricing on US AIR.

when we were going. Tentative plans are for the end of Feb Beginning of March and of course I am unable to use ff miles. I check many sites daily for rates-----I'll have to check your suggestions. Thanks :)

Hi,
can you use your ff miles to fly into Tampa? And if not, be sure to check rates there. I am looking for Jan 2 out of RST/MSP and will probably fly into Tampa to save the $200.

Whew, glad to know I'm not the only one looking at rates now for next year. We are going End of Jan thru 1st week of Feb. 1/2 our group is flying out of Rochester to meet us at Mpls, airport, we are also looking at airfares. If I see something for next year, I will post it to let people know too. I have seen $99 Rt, and $168 RT, but with layovers, and only till August this year. Hope everyone finds a good rate for next year. I have friend who works at Northwest and he said to start looking in Aug/Sept for next year. Good luck!!

a rate of 208 from msp to mco but you need 10,000 ff miles and need to join (everyone buying a ticket) the NWA.com club......for my family that is pretty pricey. I also like direct flights from MN as you never know what the weather will be like or if you will actually get out.

Hi Herc,
Saw your other reply, but can't for life of me figure out how to reply to it. I did see the meeting at MOA, hope I can make it--I tentatively said yes to it. We don't have entertainment cards or any sort of discount to use. The folks that are flying out of Roch are using some FF.
What are the chances of huge snowstorm coming and Mpls shut-down. Anyone ever experience that. Trip planeed for a year and then Wham!! can't go.

Hi Megs,
When you get a pm, scroll down past the pm message a little bit and you should see a "send reply". Just click on that and you type your message in the top of the box
Ask the Tech Boards and and they can also help you with pms.
Yes, Mpls airport can and does shut down totally from time to time, but don't worry about it. Usually, flights resume the next day, and yo can be on your way.

About MSP shutting down...this happens VERY rarely due to weather. I love the fact that MSP has the equipment to take off in bad weather and not delay. I think this should not be a huge problem, especially the time of year you are going.

Never know with Mn weather--hope we get a mild one like this last year. I would rather not have to deal with de-icing, and fly out in sunshine. First time flying-first time going to WDW. Can't wait 268 days and counting.

Hey there Minnesotans!
Last year I set up my MSN homepage to track airfares on Expedia for my trip which is in one month! :) I got a rate of $111 INCL TAX round trip on delta. I noticed they had this same deal about three weeks ago too. I keep watching the rates quite often because I am a DVC member and if there's a good rate I take it. It's been bouncing around for the last two months from as low as $140 rt on up. Today I checked and it looks like Air Tran is the lowest at $198 RT, followed by Sun Country, Northwest, Continental, United, etc. I have found that expedia and sometimes orbitz has lower prices than the airlines actually list....but be careful because they may charge a $10 or so surcharge. hope this helps!

I'm flying on May 31st for $125 including all taxes on Northwest via Priceline (great flight times, too!). Previous Priceline costs per person out of MSP have been closer to $150.
I would not pay more than $225 round trip. Go to Travelocity and set up their fare watcher. I wouldn't panic. Most airfare sales don't happen until about 2-4 months before travelling. However, Orlando tickets are frequently on sale.
Hang in there! You'll find a great deal! If not, consider Priceline...
